Shift Pod
This is a unique and special spot that Matty and crew are creating. I stayed in a shift pod; very comfortable, loved the use of outdoor showers and kitchen area, and it all felt very sweet and communal in the best way. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Walking around the property to view the awesome art + birdwatch was a highlight. I really look forward to coming back again!

Camping with an artistic touch.
Enjoyed my stay at Art Camp! Hosts were welcoming and provided great communication. Camp was clean and organized. Took a walk around the site to see all the cool art structures. Will definitely stay here again when im back in the area.

SICK AF
SUCH a sick place to camp!!! Its very remote so its a wonderful place to see the stars. The staff//artists who run it and build everything are so nice and welcoming. Outdoor showers are AMAZING, as well as all the other areas to hang out. 11/10 would stay, especially if you're just passing through the states and need to recharge:

For only starting up Feb 2024 this place was pretty neat! Art was amazing, photographer’s dream. It would be a great spot to visit with friends, lots of fun chill spots and places to explore. We can’t wait to come back in another year or two and see how it’s developed.

I loved Art city! It was awesome and cool. I loved how you are able to bring your pets along with you. I also loved how there was one other dog who lived on property and he would follow you and guide you and walk you back to your campsite at night. Loved how the bathroom and showers and kitchen were close to the camping spots. The showers had shampoo and conditioners and also soap. The kitchen had everything you needed with pots and pans and silverware. I also loved how they have water refill station near the kitchen. And also water spigots near the camp site to use to wash stuff off. The whole experience was very peaceful. Can’t wait to go back and check out the spot when all the construction is finished. The only thing we were not able to use was the hot tub and sauna. Maybe in the future. It would have made the experience even better but the sculptures and lights on property made up for that. Very nice host. Matty is very responsive with every question you may have before arrival. Very friendly staff.

Camping with Art & doggies
Art City was very easy to find. Throughout the town there are signs directing you to the site. Upon arrival you will see the huge sign that says Art and it was so cool to see all the different sculptures laid out. We were checked in by Ian and he was so helpful and kind. Our area we camped at had port a potty which was very easy to access and there were regular bathrooms near the kitchen area. The kitchen area had wonderful appliances and made cooking easy! The showers were nice as well, I really enjoyed the outdoor feel! A couple of friendly spiders but nothing too scary. The only thing I wish we could have used was the sauna and the hot tub which was closed. However, it was nice that we could bring our little four-legged friends. I had a wonderful time, and it was very relaxing. Nate was also very kind and a very handworker! Him and Ian were up early everyday putting in a ton of work. Matty is very intelligent, and you can see the direction and effort he has put in this land! I appreciate his vision. He also knows a lot of history on Tucumcari which was pleasant. I will definitely come back since they're working very hard to make this place magical! thank you! <3
