1 acre orchard amongst a 3 acre property. The camping area is full of apple trees and each site gets the shade of a lovely apple tree. River access over the highway for fishing. Renowned fast food restaurant on site with great burgers, gyros, salads and pastries.Site 1 is a beautiful site shaded by apple trees and lush grass. This is a primitive site with no hook ups but we do have a portaloo on site.

Apple Tree Site

The site is flat and you get a wonderful view of the stars at night! However, I had planned to eat at the restaurant on site (like another reviewer mentioned) but wasn't able to because it closed earlier than the hours listed online. There was also quite a bit of road noise throughout the evening from the highway, which is less than 100m away.

Apple Tree Site

Aly was a wonderful host and was very accommodating! The weather was beautiful and we loved the apple tree view. A meal (or 2) at Sugars is a MUST! It’s very conveniently located to area wineries and a short drive from great hiking!

Apple Tree Site

Camping at Sugars was a bit of a strategy for me—I didn’t want to pack food since my trip was short, so the idea of having a restaurant on-site was perfect. Unfortunately, Sugars was closed for dinner and breakfast during my stay, but Aly kindly pointed me to a great pizza spot just 5 miles down the road. The campsite itself was super cute, though traffic noise did carry well into the evening. Aly was wonderful, and I actually stopped back at Sugars a few days later on my way out of town - the food is great. Overall, a great little spot for camping—especially if you catch the restaurant during open hours and luck out with a quieter night. Bonus: the sky was pitch dark and the stars were LIT!
