A sper of the moment decision to go camping for the night and came across this beautiful location which was only 40 minutes from home. I was captivated by the beauty of the waterfall, the hike trails with the secluded overly spacious sites and especially the gorgeous pond to go fishing 🎣 Kathleen is a wonderful host. I highly recommend. Thank you for the wonderful experience. See you again 🎣🏕😀❤️

Kathleen's land was perfect for our quick weekend. First, Kathleen is always super fast to respond any inquiry before the trip. During the trip she came to our camp to check us on the day we arrived and gave us a quick tour of the land. She is engaging, fun and very proud of her land! A short walk there is a waterfall and a stream that kept the kids busy. The site for camping is large and enough to spread out all camping tent and gear. Kathleen's place is 10 minutes from anything you need, and at the same time it felt inside her property it felt like there was only us! Overall a great experience we will come back !

I really enjoyed my time at Site 10 at Paradise Valley Homestead. I walked in since I have a sedan and Kathleen was quick to greet me and show me a shortcut since there weren’t any other campers at the time. Heed the warning a high clearance vehicle is required to drive to Site 10, but it’s an easy walk if you are accustomed to backpacking or packing light. Site 10 is close enough to the waterfall to hear from your tent and eases you to sleep. The trails were well maintained and clearly marked. There was a storm that rolled through and Kathleen was kind enough to make sure I was managing okay. It’s a nice little get away and Kathleen was a very kind and welcoming host.

Staying at Paradise Valley Homestead felt less like visiting a campground and more like being welcomed into a peaceful sanctuary. From the moment we arrived, Kathleen greeted us with such warmth and sincerity, it was clear this place is a labor of love. The campground itself is beautifully maintained — spotless, tranquil, and surrounded by lush greenery. A stunning waterfall is only a short stroll from every site, offering a scenic focal point that feels like it belongs in a storybook. Whether we were sipping morning coffee or winding down in the evening, the setting encouraged us to slow down and truly relax.
Kathleen’s care extends to every part of the homestead. It’s rare to find a place that feels both so well-kept and so deeply connected to nature. The peaceful atmosphere, the spacious campsites, and the thoughtful touches everywhere made this one of the most rejuvenating trips we’ve had in a long time.
If you’re searching for a quiet place to recharge — where you’re treated like more than just a visitor — Paradise Valley Homestead is it. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, and we’re already planning our next visit.

Site 4: My wife and I drove up from Brooklyn NY after reading the great reviews of Kathleen’s property and we were not disappointed!
“Kathy” is a tremendous and kind host who is sharing her family’s land for those of us that cherish nature and the opportunity to cross paths with the friendly smiles of fellow campers!
The campground is much larger then we imagined-so much so, that we have made plans to revisit in June to experience the sites deeper into the woods where the tranquility of the water falls can be heard.
Kathy cares! Her land is beautiful and well taken care of. Kathy came to meet us within moments of our arrival and to share so interesting points and locations of the many features on her property.
The weather was rainy then sunny then windy then cloudy then warm then sunny again! Perfect in our world!
We can’t wait to return on June!!!

Site 1 - Paradise Valley Homestead
Kathleen was a great host—super friendly and made us feel welcome. The site was really well kept, flat and level with lots of space to spread out. There’s a nice little walk to a waterfall nearby, which was a great bonus. Firewood was available for a small fee, and the outhouse was clean and close by. Just a heads-up: the last mile or so is unpaved, so take it slow. Overall, a peaceful spot and a great stay!

We had an amazing time at site #8 - surrounded by forest on all sides, the other sites close enough that we didn’t feel totally isolated but also really smartly placed so that there was very minimal sound or light coming from other campers. Kathy was super-friendly and responsive too! will definitely come back!

The campsites are BEAUTIFUL! Kathleen stopped by to make sure we were set up and told us the best trails to hike. Bathrooms were clean and close. My wife, 2.5 year old son and I will definitely be back!!

Second time coming and it's even more beautiful than I remembered. Stayed in the new medieval site Kathleen set up this season and it was amazing. Lots of space and near many fun trails from easy to more challenging. Would definitely recommend for family and friends alike. Also your furry companions could come along and there's great phone reception.

When I arrived Kathleen was busy stacking firewood! Perfect timing because I needed wood anyway. She has $5 and $10 "bundles". I went for two $10 ones.
I found my site just up the road easily enough (site 5) and pulled my Jeep in and admired the spacious spot.
My goal for this solo trip was to try hammock camping. There are plenty of trees to choose from.
The site was clean and the provided fire ring makes it convenient to move it to a better location if needed.
This site is semi secluded as you can kinda see vehicles drive on the road.
I did some exploring and found she has more remote sites that I would at least try with a SUV or better a yet a 4×4.
There was a primitive toilet right across the road. It is a composting model complete with tree shavings you scoop in after you are finished. Amazingly clean and oder free.
I would definitely return as it a 30 min drive for me.

It was a pleasure to Camp in Kathleen's property. Beautiful hiking trails, and pond / waterfall. We forgot the frame for the tent and she provided a fix for us. She was amazing. I truly recommend it.
She was very attentive to all our needs and I cannot recommend it enough!

We stayed on site 3. The campsite was big and easy to find. Bathrooms and potable water are within a short walk. Kathleen is a great host, came to check if we needed anything. Something to keep in mind as always when camping, know what poison IVY looks like and spray for bugs and ticks. We had a pop up tent with bug screens to cover our table and eating area. I highly recommend it.

We had a great stay. It was raining almost a one whole day but we really enjoyed our stay. It was our first time camping with our 1y/old and it was great. The camp ground was nice pretty level and Sunny (when it wasn’t raining). Site was clean and the fire pit with the grill top was a great touch! The waterfall walk was nice and they even had a kids trail along a little creek. We look forward to coming back soon :)
Kate was super friendly and welcoming. Always willing to answer questions and very proactive to bring up key points about the property that will help us during our stay.

Beautiful property! Kathy was warm, welcoming, and excited to share her 45 acres of land surrounded by protected watershed land. The sites were huge and peaceful and if I find myself in this area again I will be sure to book a spot here.

We had such a wonderful time staying at Paradise Valley Homestead. My son (4) and husband stayed in the vardo and I set up a tent nearby. It was the perfect combo of camping and glamping. The fire pit was lovely and we made some delicious smores and memories! Would definitely return!
