GREAT NEWS!!! As of April 5th, my long awaited 1st Glamping site is available for booking! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. We also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the Hipcamp, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

Site 1 - Paradise Valley Homestead
Loved the experience
What a wonderful experience we had. The host was incredibly generous with her time and attention. We loved exploring the land and playing in the pond. We felt very special as a Skoolie family staying at this site.

Site 10/SUV or Walk-in
Gorgeous Campsite
Site 10 was SO serene, with two flat areas for tent & cooking surrounded by gorgeous rocks and moss, with beautiful spots for hammock, clothesline, etc. 10 minutes hiking from the car lot and 5 minutes from the waterfall. Pack minimally / consolidated as if for backpacking to make the short but steep trek to the car easier. All food must be kept in the car overnight because of black bears. So much cool wildlife - chipmunks, snakes, frogs… bring lots of bug spray! Kathleen was so kind and helped us start a fire. Hope to return soon!

Site 5 tents only
Site 5
Pros: Site 5 is very spacious and secluded. It's a private, remote spot which gives you plenty of distance from other sites and wandering campers. This site is surrounded by tall trees, making it very nice for hammocks. The trees are very tall and nice to look at during the day. Site 5 is also very close to the Outpost. Cons: Compared to the other sites, site 5 probably has the most surrounding trees. The trees make it a nice, remote site but it's also home to a ton of bugs. At night, the bugs came out from every corner. Simply holding a lantern attracts so many bugs towards you, and turning a lantern on inside the tent made all the bugs make so much noise trying to get in. Also, the trees in site 5 block the view for any stargazing. This was a bit of a bummer since the stars looked so amazing and bright outside of site 5. Overall, very remote and spacious site but no stargazing and lots of bugs. Host was very kind and the firewood was very affordable. Only an hour drive from the city. Would definitely recommend booking one of these sites.

Paradise indeed!
Kathleen was warm and accommodating from the beginning. The grounds were clean and views were beautiful. The hike to the creek and waterfall was a fond memory along with many, many hours spent at the pond. Will definitely be back again!
