Sap Happy Farm made me sooo happy! Rachelâs welcome was enthusiastic. Her accommodations are the epitome of Hip Glamping. In woods tucked below her (and her two young teen boysâ) house are woods hiding a one-room, screened-all-around âcabinâ with comfy couch/pillows, picnic table, candle, and carpet, with space for 2 sleeping pads (couch would sleep a child easily). A real-live toilet seat (!) over composting bucket a discrete distance in woods, with blanket that serves as modesty wall. Thereâs also a fire pit. Potable water is a garden hose at house that Rachael offers for use day or night. A horse in barn/pasture, and Râs dog is quiet, loyal, and Zen-like! Bring a flashlight to save phone battery. Hiking nearby: I did a pre-breakfast run 1.5 miles down the road to Blue Job trail (mile up, mile down) with quintessential New England summit vista (at just 1293 elevation. Thereâs a parking lot at trailhead if you donât want to walk/run there! I highly recommend Sap Happy Farm!
