Such a magical feeling place. Everything was perfect. You can tell that these people have their act together and know exactly what they're doing hosting. I hate that. I only got one night to stay there due to an issue back home at work. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely be staying here.

Staying in the Barn Door Bus was so much fun! Directions were easy to follow for a late check in, and we had a great time hanging out on the roof deck with coffee in the morning. Had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Beautiful campus! We enjoyed the swimming hole, outdoor shower, and the balance between spaciousness and seclusion. Hope to be back!

This was a fantastic camp spot! Beautiful property with a stream running behind it. The sites were private. Each one had a picnic table and fire pit. It was in close proximity to hiking, loon mountain (downhill mountain biking), and lots of good shops. Our host was great at answering any and all questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall good experience. Parking for check in was tight as 3 cars arrived at same time. Few amenities for campers. Basically just a grass field with no shade or coverage fyi . They did have free wifi, a charging station, gas grill, and water station.

What a great spot to camp. Loved the river that surrounds the property, and the little area where you can soak in it after a day of activities. Shower was great, firepits, close proximity to the bathrooms, honestly couldn't ask for anymore... Great lake nearby, and anything you need is not far away.

The Barn Door Bus was an amazing unique experience! The whole place. We have stayed at the campground in the field numerous times and always looked up at the bus wanting to try it. Had everything you could need for an enjoyable stay and it was nice hearing the stream all night. Definitely Recommend!

We loved it!!! We had so much fun celebrating our daughter’s 21st birthday here. The bus is super cute and cozy. One of our favorite things about it was hearing the calming peacefulness of the little stream trickling by❤️

I recommend this spot! From the calm atmosphere of the area and the folks who take care of everything, everything was lovely :)
Goose, a golden, walks around the property often and you will probably see him. It was a nice highlight to staying there as an animal lover

My boyfriend and I are definitely coming back! The staff was super knowledgeable and extremely accommodating! The site is very clean and easily accessible! Loved all the dogs and the people who were our neighbors were all awesome! The hot outdoor shower was fantastic!

The campground was great and I enjoyed my stay here. In fact, I wish I had planned to stay longer. It rained almost the entire time I was in town. It was still beautiful, but I would have done some more exploring in the area had I had more time and better weather. The brook that runs alongside the campground was wonderful. The outdoor shower was great. The camping area is large, so I think even if it's full you could have a decent amount of privacy. It is an open field, so not a lot of shade in most of the areas. This was not an issue for me, but something to keep in mind for planning.

The camping area is nice and the service was great. Site was clean and included a picnic table and fire ring. There are porta johns nearby. We had a reservation for two in our campervan that we paid for through the app. When we checked in we were told we had only paid for one person and had to pay an extra fee. I explained that our reservation was for two but they told me that hipcamp doesn’t communicate well with the campground system. We would have considered other options had we known the true cost.

Fantastic campout spot for our adventurous weekend. Facilities were clean, fresh water available and coffee in the morning was a nice touch. Every staff member we met was friendly and genuine. Goose was definitely the highlight of our visit!

Had such an amazing time at the Barn Door Hostel during Labor Day Weekend!! Dave and his team had so many fun events planned from GaGa, and Capture the Flag, to tie dye t-shirts and an outdoor movie night. They even provided dinner and breakfast. We made so many new friends and it was an amazing communal environment. This is my fourth year coming here and the experience gets better each year.My brother never camps and I dragged him out this year and he is already looking forward to going back. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved it here! As we were driving to our site their dog Goose was galloping next to our car to greet us and meet our dog. We loved that our dog could be off leash and have fun. We really enjoyed swimming in the creek and sitting on the deck overlooking the water with our coffee in the morning. There was hot coffee in the morning by the community picnic tables and free cold brew in coolers on the way out. Good amount of space between campsites if you're trying to be on your own but also plenty of space to socialize with others! Bathrooms were clean and the outdoor shower was nice to have after a long hike. We also heard a lot of good things from other campers about the hostel they have on site. We had a beautiful view of the stars as well. Overall we loved everything about this place and would absolutely come back again. The only critique we had was just that it would be nice if the grass was collected after mowing rather than leaving it on the field but we also forgot a mat for outside our tent so we probably could have easily avoided it getting everywhere.

Great launchpad for hiking in the Whites. Check-in was easy. Campsites are large and grassy. I've stayed here before, and will definitely return in the future!

To say that Barndoor Hostel was a good choice for our annual camp trip is an understatement! It was an incredible choice! We showed up to Barndoor and was immediately greeted by Chris, Dave (or Big Wave Dave as we were introduced to him) and Goose (the best dog) and was immediately given a layout of the whole land, where to camp, swim, get water, showers the works. Everyone there was incredibly helpful and answered all and any questions we had. It was a nice peaceful 2 nights and the weather was great. Chris gave me and my friend a recommendation on a swimming hole near by and we spent all day saturday there. These two went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. This will definitely become a regular spot for us every year!
