Find some info and links of several of the sites located on the property. Be it swimming, kayaking, boating, sunning, hiking, biking, or fishing; spectacular fall foliage, and bird watching or winter sports like skiing, boarding, ice skating, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing,....take time out to enjoy what nature has to offer to the fullest, right here in your new backyard. Explore nature’s wonderland; starting with 27 acres of woods and waterfront beauty on Powder Mill Pond and the Contoocook River. During the warmer weather, you can hop in one of the kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats, (on-site for a small rental fee), sunbathe on the refreshing 30 ft. lily pad, or simply relax in the swing or hammock looking out over Mount Monadnock. During the winter, cross country ski, ice skate or fish or strap-on a pair of the complimentary snowshoes ...while year round, enjoy sharing s’mores and stories by the fire pit! Waterfront oasis. Relax in Teeny Tiny House with its own private dock and rowboat, overlooking Powder Mill Pond and Contoocook River.  Hike, Swim, Fish, Kayak, Canoe, Paddle boat. Private fire pit. Hot tub. Eclectic dining, 4 golf courses, shops, breweries, skiing all nearby. Just outside of Peterborough in Southern New Hampshire, only 1.5 hrs from Boston or 2.25 hrs. from Hartford in the legendary Monadnock Region. Fully equipped with electricity, a microwave, hot plate, refrigerator, dish-ware and a 5 gallon jug of water for drinking, cleaning, or cooking. The futon couch folds down into a bed and faces a large glass window and private deck that overlooks the water. Outdoors, there is a very clean,odorless, wooden toilet with NASA produced absorbent liners which are relined by you per usage, situated in a private cabana tent There is also a portable outdoor shower bag, propane stove, portable fire pit, and charcoal grill and chairs on the deck and by the firepit. During the warm weather, there is also an outdoor shower by the public beach area. There is a small public beach area where you will find an outdoor shower and canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and paddle boards that can be rented for a small fee. Paddle to the island for a picnic lunch, watch the locals jump off the railroad bridge, cool off on the 30 ft. lily pad, share stories, roast dogs and s’mores at the fire pit, have cocktails by sunset in the gazebo. If you prefer to relax in a hot tub under the stars, you can reserve the hot tub that is tucked in the woods, overlooking the water and Mount Monadnock. Experience a waterfront camping getaway tucked in a secluded and picturesque oasis on the Contoocook River and Powder Mill Pond, just 1.5 hrs. from Boston and 2.25 hrs from Hartford in the legendary Monadnock region. Swim, sun, fish, boat, bike, hike without ever having to leave the property! Your site sits right on the river's edge, secluded in the heart of nature's beauty. During the warmer weather, you can swim, sun, fish, boat, bike, hike or maybe even learn to paddle board. (Canoes, Kayaks, Paddle boat and Paddle boards on site to rent for small fee) Your standard site includes a Canvas Tent, Bunk with 2 Queen Beds, Camp Table Camp Benches, Adirondack Chairs, Wood Stove, Campfire Grill, Grill Tongs, Brush, Water Carrier, Sun Shower, Trash Can, and Camp toilet. We have provided some free extras, such as a charcoal grill, fire pit, one bundle of firewood, camp chairs, loo privacy tent, a 5 gallon water jug/pump and more. You just need to supply the linens, instant coals (for safety reasons, no lighter fluid allowed), and the marshmallows! On site, enjoy the small beach area, which includes a swim platform, 30 ft. "Lily Pad", and complimentary floats. Or cool off in the tire tube at the rivers edge right out in front of your private site! Kayaks, canoes, row boats and a paddle boat are at your fingertips, available to rent for a small fee (includes life preservers)Complimentary bicycles, floats and games are available for guests to use on site. And you can also reserve a private hot tub for a small fee as well. Don't forget to bring your bathrobe and crocs or flip flops for the hot tub. There are also complimentary games on site for you to enjoy as well as a park across the street with a playground area and ball field. There is also a small local store that sells bait and also offers a respectable selection of craft beers! Site Guidelines Do hike the trails throughout the 27 acre property and bring a compass. Do explore the pond and the river, and if you choose to rent a kayak, canoe, or paddle boat etc. for a minimal fee, please be aware of the safety guidelines that are part of the rental agreement, wear a life preserver and remain mindful of the small dam/waterfall down the river. Do enjoy the sounds of nature, and the waterfall but in the evening, please keep noise at this pastoral setting to a minimum. The land is sprayed for mosquitoes etc. and also has electric bug traps, but Do bring bug spray as well. Do watch out for poison ivy and bring calamine lotion, just in case! Do keep all food in animal safe containers. Do abide by laws pertaining to legal alcohol and drug usage, and act responsibly. Do leave firearms at home. Do feel free to reach out to the camp keeper for ANYTHING that may make your stay more comfortable and/or fun!

We loved camping at the site. The amenities were excellent, and the hot tub was super clean. Overall, the experience was 5 stars. This is in no way to denigrate or take away from the positive review. This is only a suggestion moving forward. When we arrived, we were informed that we were unable to use the fire pit because there was a statewide ban due to a drought in New Hampshire. This is no way the problem of the owner of the site. It is out of their control. However, it would have been nice to know upon booking as doing a campfire is an integral part of the camping experience. The site still receives 5 stars :) -Flynn

We love this camp site! It literally has everything you would need! Morning coffee on the deck in the Adirondack chairs is the most peaceful and best way to start the day. We love taking the boats out on the lake and taking a dip in the hot tub. This was our third time going to this site and we are looking forward to coming back in the future!

This is a great camping spot. The nearby waterfall provides a constant blanket of sound that insulates you from the outside world so it feels very isolated without being "in the middle of nowhere". It is well equipped with everything you could need (except food & clothes) and the host provides lots of info about local things to do.

This spot was so cute! The teeny house where I stayed with my dogs was great and had updates from what is seen in the listing. I was surprised that there were like no bugs, didn’t have to spray the site at all. They aren’t kidding about it being “teeny” though- you can’t open the door all the way to get in haha but it was great otherwise!

Certainly better accommodations than expected. The tent site was private and had all the essentials you could need. Just bring your fishing rod, a meal, and your favorite drink. Our children loved “living” on the tent site for the weekend. They are already asking the next time we can go. Thank you for a perfect weekend to bid farewell to summer.

Waterfront Teeny Tiny House
We loved the teeny tiny house, it was so cute. It was great to wake up and have coffee right on the water especially being able to paddle around on our personal rowboat. It had everything we needed. The bed is a little firm so bring extra blankets if that's not your thing, but we were comfortable. The amenities were affordably priced and everyone there was so friendly.

This was a unique and fun experience! I think the Horse Trailer is the Best Option! Just enough space for 2 people and 2 dogs. Waking up you have a front view of the picture perfect water view. Bond fire available and grill. Two swinging tree chairs were very comfy and a great place to sit down with a morning coffee and see the natural beauty around you. From kayaks, to hot tub, to hiking, so much to do! The owner and manager was super helpful and friendly. Defiantly would come back!

My family and I loved the quiet and peaceful place, sleeping with the sound of the water, getting up, lighting the bonfire, and above all, our two dogs accompanied us and enjoyed themselves. It was two unforgettable days. Samantha was very kind and showed us everything we had access to. I hope it's a place to return to soon.

We were very pleased with The Rustic Chic Retreat. The site we rented had the mini renovated horse trailer. It is unique, clean, comfortable and very well stocked. The whole site is amazing! You’ve got your own bathroom shed, fire pit with available wood, multiple chairs for lounging, a covered and screened eating area, ability to shower and wash dishes, your own jug of water which is refillable, not to mention the beautiful view of Powder Mill Pond! Everything in and on the trailer was easy to operate. We were able to follow the train tracks and walk to the quaint downtown area for breakfast and visit the general store. We borrowed a boat to enjoy the pond which is available at the small campground beach. There’s even a bench swing, gazebo and hot tub available on the grounds! This was our first time glamping (we always tent camp) and now realize what a treat it is to have everything there already, things you may not have thought about. For us, this was better than renting a hotel room to get away for three days! Honestly, I just wanted to stay there longer. Thank you so so much, Donna, we love your place!

Waterfront Teeny Tiny House
We had a great time in the Teeny House! It was so peaceful and relaxing. We spent most of our time sitting on the deck and just enjoying the quiet. We did use the little beach they have available and our dog LOVED it, she played fetch for hours and happily frolicked in the sand. We will absolutely be back at some point and for a longer stay for sure!

We had a perfect stay at the Safari Tent - what a beautiful spot with a perfect setup and caring hospitality. The camp site felt secluded and private, yet not far from our car if we needed to get something. The tent with air mattresses worked well (they even had spares just in case), while the screened-in dining area, clean latrine, fire pit with chairs and ample firewood supply, as well as sturdy picnic table with work bench for our cooking setup made our site feel complete and comfortable with minimal effort. The best part was the sound of the waterfall had me sleeping like a baby all night :) We made use of the kayaks for fishing and racing across the scenic pond, and the hot tub in the evening to relax after a day of adventuring. Lots to see in the region - I highly recommend the White Birch General Store in town for fine coffee and sandwiches, and Pack Monadnock mountain for a good hike that leads to spectacular views! Our host was very welcoming, gave us space to be on our own but provided prompt support when we reached out with questions. I'd be very happy to visit again, and recommend this place to those seeking an easy and beautiful place to stay.

Aside from mosquitos (for which you have little control), we had a good time. The site met our needs. We were only there for a very short time so had little opportunity to hike or explore the property. We fished a lot. Right off our Tent Site. All good. Overall, the place could use a bit of a refresh. It was more roughing it than what one would expect from 'Glamping'. It was pretty much traditional camping.

My husband and I had a beautiful weekend relaxing in the Teeny Tiny House! <3 Chilly weekend but we had a blast. Trailhead up the tracks, gorgeous views, peaceful campsite, hot tub, and so many thoughtful amenities. Just what we needed! Looking forward to returning!:)

Me and my two friends had a wonderful stay at the safari tent! Donna was super informative and welcoming. The tent itself had everything we needed including storage and lanterns. They also recently added another outdoor patio area that was tented in that was perfect for food and games away from bugs (which there were a lot of, not that there is much they can do about that). Would come again!

The trailer was amazing comfortable and cozy and well stocked. It was very unique. The site was large and view was great! We had our dogs with us and they had plenty of room to roam around on long leases.

This tent was perfect! There was an old record player which was really nice to use early morning and at night. Firewood was available at the campsite and the outhouse was clean and exclusive to the campsite. Lanterns were available inside the tent which was great. Using the hot tub at nice was nice and private as well, and being able to use boats was fun. The only downside at the site itself was mosquitoes, couldn’t leave the tent open for more than 10 seconds. I have DOZENS of bites

We enjoyed our stay at the Teeny Cabin, despite the weather (rain off and on). We went fishing, took walks to explore, our kids enjoyed riding the bikes, we loved the hot tub, enjoyed the nature and everything about it. And both Donna and Samantha were wonderful! We will be back!

Cozy winter getaway

My partner and I stayed in the Teeny house for the weekend and had an amazing time. Everything was all set up when we got there. Snow was shoveled and cleaned up. We enjoyed the simplicity of the small set up and the bathroom set up was perfect. We enjoyed a few dips in the hot tub and some sleeping in the field across the way.

Wow! What a cool spot! The hosts, Donna and Bill, communicated well and the process was easy and smooth. Their location has many options and many looked really nice. We stayed in the Tiny House (not the teeny tiny house), the Yurt & the Tent site. The location and view were excellent. Decent fishing spots. The Tiny House and Yurt are very cozy and well made. Lot of amenities. We visited late in the fall and both spots were nice and warm. The private, outdoor hot tub would have been great but unfortunately it was broken during our stay. The Tent site was nice as well, but the wood burning stove is on the small side and I wasn't able to keep the tent warm enough without waking each hour to refill the stove. My wife and child complained about either being too hot, or too cold. The air mattresses squeak a bit as well (we brought sleeping bags not sheets). Next time we would bring more linens/blankets to help stop the squeaking. It's a great location and we plan to visit again in the warmer months. I'd also like to try a winter rental in either the horse trailer, tiny house or yurt. I'd only take the tent site in the warmer months.

I think I found my happy place. We went to New Hampshire for the first time during the most beautiful fall weekend and we stayed at the Teeny House. It is indeed teeny tiny but super cozy, it had everything that we will ever need! The waterfront view is GORGEOUS. The outhouse was clean and super easy to use! And it’s an actual structure now, not just a tent! We arrived kind of late and Samantha greeted us and showed us everything we needed to know and I really appreciate every tiny detail they thought of to make the camp more fun and comfortable. I love how each campsite was made like a tiny sanctuary! It’s like you are on your own private waterfront campsite. Words and photos will never do this place justice. Thank you for having us, Donna and Bill!

Waterfront Teeny Tiny House
A wonderful place to connect with nature, and everything was very comfortable. The staff was polite and answered all our questions. The location is great, and we will definitely return in the spring. The only inconvenience was the overwhelming amount of information and the numerous phone numbers we needed to call.
