Welcome to The Sanctuary! This yurt dwelling experience has been specially curated for you. Nestled on the edge of the woodlands and surrounded by gardens, the yurt has been a special place for our family for over a decade and we are excited to share this sacred space with you.
Unplug, relax, and restore while taking refuge in the comfort of our property which has been cultivated by hand since 2005. Tap into the sounds of nature and find solace at The Sanctuary.
Our home and yurt is located on 2 acres of land with access to 9 miles of dirt roads perfect for walking or biking. The Andorra Forest Recreational Area is at the end of our road with 11, 500 acres of trails. Highland lake (one of many lakes in the area) is less than a mile away with lake access.
We have spent the last 20 years cultivating our home and the land. Every plant we have planted and every rock we have moved. We have special areas dedicated to honoring the Earth, Nature spirits, and Ancestors. You may or may not be aware of these areas during your stay, but are welcome to visit these places respectfully.
People say that the land and home feels "different" and we attribute that to how we have tended the land and how others who have been here have done the same.
The yurt location offers access within 45 minutes to: Peterborough, NH, Keene, NH, Pitcher Mountain, Highland Lake, Hiking, Kayaking, Boating, Sunapee Mountain, and Pats Peak Ski Area.Welcome to The Sanctuary! Highland lake (one of many lakes in the area) is less than a mile away with lake access and Pitcher Mountain provides a quick hike with 360 degree views of the area. We have spent the last 20 years cultivating our home and the land. Every plant we have planted and every rock we have moved. People say that the land and home feels "different" and we attribute that to how we have tended the land and how others who have been here have done the same.
The yurt, and area outside the yurt is available to guests. We welcome you into the garden and you are invited to walk about the woods. Please respect our privacy and do not use our personal patio space.
mportant details before you book: * There is no running water in the yurt. We have drinking water available and are happy to replenish the Berkey water filter. * There is a private composting available for guests. * The yurt has Wifi. * There is electricity inside the yurt. * We do have a free roaming friendly dog on-site. * This space is not conducive for small children. * No pets.
ON-SITE OFFERINGS: If arranged ahead of time, I have transformative / contemplative offerings (for an additional fee) which include: * Meditations & Drum Journey's * Ancestral Healing * Fire Walks * Elemental Radical Ritual * West African Divination * Energetic Clearings
