Enjoy the outdoors of New Hampshire, just an hour outside of Boston, and located 5 minutes from Bear Brook State Park. Fishing, kayaking, river tubing, and hiking are all right in our backyard. Suncook River Camp is under new ownership (2024). We can't wait to spend time with you on the river this season. We offer everything from bring-your-own tent sites to upscale vintage camper experiences. Our campground has bathroom and brand new shower facilities onsite, or bring your RV and just plug and play. Come to Southern NH's Suncook River: canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards (SUPs), or your best alligator floatie. We're waiting for you. The Suncook River also offers some of the best fishing and wildlife watching around!

Bring Your Own Tent. Our wooded tent sites are available a short walk from the river. These sites feature private, wooded areas for you and your friends and family, fire rings, and picnic tables. Guests have access to our bathrooms and showers, as well as amenities like the pool, river/beach, games (horseshoes, cornhole) and our rentable fleet of kayaks, canoes and river tubes (inquire at office). Water is available to guests on several nearby posts. Electric available; ask for a converter at check-in. Max 2 tents per site. Site occupancy is 6 for Families (i.e. 2 adults, 4 kids) with a max of 4 adults per site. Max 14 night stay, per NH law. Includes a fire ring, picnic table and the occasional evening owl visit. *This riverfront site doesn’t support direct septic hookups. To help protect the land and water, please use the dump station near the bath houses for black and gray tank waste. This restored birchwood interior camper in excellent condition comes from local members of the New England Vintage Camper community and has been featured in many rallies before finding it’s forever home here. The 1961 Avalon camper trailer sleeps 3, and much like other vintage campers from the early 1960s, is known for its distinctive style and practicality. This Vintage Avalon camper has a new custom made mattress, FANtastic fan, 3 burner stove top and fridge. It has been celebrated at RV shows and in vintage trailer clubs across the country, where aficionados appreciate their classic beauty and historical significance.

Come relax in our Flamingo Pink 1960 vintage lark camper. She’s pretty with a new Queen size bed (sleeps 2) with linens, pillows, bath towels and a light comforter provided. The unit has a heated electric fireplace, fans, a new pink fridge and custom built counter. There's a small closet for storing luggage, etc. We provide an outdoor camp stove for cooking (uses a 1lb, often green, propane fuel tank), as well as pots, pans, cutlery (for 4), plates, a chef's knife, spatula, coffee mugs & a French press for morning coffee. Rental includes access to the campground's bath house (hot showers, toilets), swimming pool, games (horseshoes, cornhole), and the river (beach on each end of the property). Pets are welcome (max 1), but no leaving pets unattended in the camper. Please plan to take your pet on your travels and adventures with you. These are tiny, unfamiliar spaces and we don't want your pet or our camper to get injured.

This fully-renovated 18 ft 2010s classic RV offers a renovated farmhouse-chic interior with all the modern amenities you need to enjoy nature in pure comfort. Featuring 2 sleeping areas for up to 3 guests: A brand new Queen memory foam mattress, and and a dinette seating area that converts into a twin sleeping space. Other features include: Air Conditioning, Kitchen Sink, Fridge, Freezer, Microwave, Camp Stove, Bathroom including Standing Shower & Flush Toilet, Cabinets and Closet for Storage. The RV comes equipped with plates, bowls, cutlery, camp cooking supplies (pots, pans, spatula), dish soap and scrubber, coffee mugs, cutting board and a french press for morning coffee. Sheets, blankets, pillows and bathroom towels provided as well. Don't forget to bring your own pool/river towels! The camper has an automatic awning (at base of floor by entryway) for rainy and sunny days, and views of the river out the back window and at the campsite. Site has a picnic table and fire ring; please fully extinguish all fires with water at the end of every night. This 1970's green vintage British-style caravan camper was professionally restored into a charming retro camping experience. This clean, bright camper sleeps 4 and features a new Queen memory foam mattress (2), and a large dinette seating area that converts into a Full bed (2) at night. The "marine-style" (i.e. all-in-one) bathroom has a sink with hand-held shower faucet and toilet. The kitchen sink and countertop provides extra room for washing up and prepping meals, while overhead cabinets and drawers are stocked with kitchen essentials (olive oil, salt, pepper) and bath towels and products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). Rare Candy Red 1963 refurbished Shasta Camper from South Carolina in amazing shape. A real head turner with a lot of modern amenities- Electrical hookups, water storage with on demand pump, kitchen, and bathroom with grey water hose. The 1963 Vintage Shasta Camper is a classic American travel trailer that has become iconic among vintage RV enthusiasts. Known for its distinctive features and retro appeal, the Shasta line of campers offered several qualities that endeared them to generations of travelers. The Shasta has two XL Twin sleeping areas, one of which converts from kitchen table to bed. Drawers are stocked with kitchen essentials (olive oil, salt, pepper). We rented a Jayco camper that made our stay easy and more comfortable. It was right on the river- we enjoyed waking up and watching the ducks go by. We spent a ton of time outside, grilling, having fires and spending time/ laughing with friends. Lots of things locally to do as well. We went apple picking and to the local fair! We got some time kayaking in the river too which was peaceful. It was a nice, quiet getaway, and the owners are lovely people. Be prepared with all your own camping gear. Though the camper was very comfortable, we were lucky we had everything we needed. You will need all your own kitchen gear: a grill, pots/pans, plates, mixing bowls, etc. We would def come back, especially since it's only 1.15hr from home. Thanks for a nice stay.

We loved the Suncook River Camp and staying in the blue Avalon vintage camper. The camper was perfect with its vintage charm and comfortable bed. The site on the Suncook River was great. Our 7yo daughter loved the clean pool, the outdoor movie night, and fishing/canoeing/tubing in the river all weekend. We caught some nice yellow perch on nightcrawlers. The campground was large enough to have amazing amenities (Hot tubs and sauna opening soon) but not overcrowded. The hosts were very responsive to requests such as firewood orders. Great trip overall!

What a gem. We were driving up to Bangor, ME for the Labor Day weekend and were having a hard time finding a spot when we found Suncook. What a find! Our spot was right on the river and just around the corner to a clean bathroom and showers. The campgrounds had several options for staying including yurts, domes, tent sites, rv sites and even classic furnished rvs. They have a pool, bounce house, playground, a big firepit area and an outdoor kitchen where they looked to be building something new. We would definitely come back when in the area and recommend coming and seeing them! Bonus, dog friendly and a dog washing station on the side of the bath house if needed.

My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing time in the Pink Lark camper at Suncook River Campground! It was the cutest little get away, and the staff were so nice and helpful with anything we needed. We will definitely be returning to try out some of the vintage campers, buses, and dome tents!

This is a great tent camp. There is electric and water on the camp site and the bathhouse is just a few yards away. The bathroom was always clean and stocked. The shower produced warm water. We camped with our dog, and there is a lovely beach dog park 7 minutes away. If you have kids there is a pool, bounce house and slip & slide.

Incredible Spot and AWESOME staff!

Absolutely lovely. Joe, the owner, and his wife (who we didn’t meet) were there working the whole time to make the campgrounds incredible, and were gracious hosts. Crystal, the manager, was so accommodating and helped set us up for a fantastic stay. The grounds were clean and well maintained, the amenities were in great shape, they even gave us a converter so we could use the RV hookup for regular power. We will DEFINITELY be back. It’s close to Bear Brook state park, which we spent one day at, but our highlight was kayaking out from the campgrounds to a little swimming hole in the river and having a gorgeous swim in the evening. Absolutely recommend.
