40 acres hosted by Mitch & Paula L.
About twenty years ago Mitch ventured into a forest in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and came upon a natural brook and pond. He had been searching for quite some time for property with a natural setting to live among wildlife, birds and other earthly treasures that natural areas bring. This 40-acre parcel was the place where he built his log home and, after Paula joined him several years later, a small farm with organic vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, flower gardens, a few cattle, chickens, honeybees, two dogs and, at times, hogs and turkeys was established. Only a few acres have been used for the house and barn area, the remaining acreage remains in its natural state as Mitch first found it. The property abuts hundreds of acres of conservation land and thousands of acres of undeveloped land. The stars shine bright, the forest animals roam freely, the air is fresh and the vibe is peaceful and relaxing. This is our first season as Hip Camp hosts and we are excited to share our favorite place with you.
