Our group of four bikepackers loved our stay on Amy’s property! We enjoyed the privacy and serenity with the option for a quick and easy trip into town for ice cream. The hosts (and dogs) were friendly and kind.

My girlfriend and I loved camping on Amy’s land! The tent spot in the woods offers plenty of privacy and is super accessible — super short walk from where you park. Short drive to gorgeous hikes/swimming spots and delicious coffee/restaurants.

This place was amazing! They were so helpful and we bought some wood. We cooked our food over the fire pit. The dog, Maggie, was very cute and people friendly. She said “hi” every time we arrived. Had an amazing time exploring the white mountains from this place. Thanks ❤️

Have stayed here twice and enjoyed the experience— it’s quite conveniently located for hiking and biking, close to town for food, and the host is communicative! It’s right on the cross New Hampshire adventure trail for folks doing that. As the host mentions, would recommend arriving before dark as sites can be tricky to find & be aware of the pups running around. Outhouse is well kept.

Overall our overnight stay was fine. Amy was easy to communicate with. We were a bit worried by the ‘gravel’ drive as the drive was not gravel but rather like driving up a rock stream bed. Our mid-size SUV Telluride pulling a 19 foot camper made it without a problem. But, mind you, you need good clearance. The outhouse was a plus and one of the reasons we booked our stay. Another plus is the property is close to town which has shops and restaurants. If possible I would recommend purchasing your wood for a fire before you get to the camp as there are roadside stands selling bundles for $5.00 as opposed to the $12.00 for 6 pieces at this Hipcamp.

Right on a main highway to town behind the owners house. Very close to grocery, gas, restaurants, and a dollar store. Maybe 30 minutes to Mt Washington Cog Railway or Jewell or Ammonusic Ravine trails to the peak. Only a large RV was present, boondocking. Drive slow on rocky entry to grass field if you have a low clearance car.

Great spot near the Presidential Rail Trail! Did a quick overnighter bikepacking trip. Grabbed some sandwiches and baked goods in Bethel, Maine at Gemini Cafe. Parked in Gorham. Bike 20-25mi almost entirely on the trail with great views and an overall easy route on any bike unless you’re rocking super skinny road tires — I was comfortable with 32mm tires. The trail also goes through the Pondicherry Wildlife Sanctuary, which was the first Important Bird Area in New Hampshire. The Hipcamp itself was private and only a few minutes from Whitefield where I was able to re-up on the essentials — water, gatorade, ice cream. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a beginner bikepacking route or looking to do a day hike/bike along the trail.

Nice spot, good cell service as well. We slept in the car and used the woods camping spot to make dinner and have a fire. Would give 4.5 stars. The road up to the spot is a little rutted out, if it was wet I don’t think I would have made it up in my car. But if you have any type of ground clearance you’ll be fine. Good price point.

The Dorrs provide such a wonderful environment to campout and get away from the day to day life! They were welcoming and accommodating for all our needs! They even hosted an Open Mic to entertain friends and family! I would recommend this site to anyone that enjoys rustic camping and kindred spirits!

Didn’t need to interact with the hosts at all so can’t speak to that, but the outhouse had TP & didn’t smell, and the instructions were good for finding the sites. Would recommend having a map of the sites, and definitely arriving before dark to find them. Other folks camping there were friendly and I enjoyed the moonrise.

Great location for bikers who need a place to camp when doing the Northern White Mountains Overnighter. You’re just a zip down to downtown Whitefield for supplies and a warm

Amy’s place was perfect for our needs, we did a night on our way through the X New Hampshire Adventure Trail, and another night on our return journey. We loved how quiet and rustic it was. We could quickly get to town to have dinner and get supplies.

We had a great stay at Amy's! It was an easy to find and centrally located spot for our north country holiday weekend. The field is private and easy to access with our small teardrop camper. We enjoyed exploring the area and biking on the Presidential Rail Trail and relaxing at camp. Their very friendly dogs visited us occasionally. Amy was very responsive with communications and she and her family were very welcoming to us while we stayed there.
