Surrounded by towering hemlocks and the gentle sounds of a nearby brook, this quiet slice of New Hampshire wilderness offers a rare mix of serenity and adventure. Whether you're here to relax under the stars, or explore the woods, this is the perfect basecamp. Some of what you’ll experience: * Wildlife including deer, moose, otters, mink, turtles, ducks, and a variety of birds. * Soothing night sounds including frogs, crickets, peepers, and flowing water. * Fly fishing, kayaking, hammock, bird watching, and hiking/mountain biking trails nearby. * Enjoy glimpses of fireflies, wide-open skies for stargazing, and sharing fireside stories. * Secluded enough to unplug, but still close to a small grocery store, local restaurant, bar, and disc golf. 🐾 Pet-friendly. Bring your four-legged adventurers!

Enjoy outdoor meals, or even play a hand of cards on the large picnic table positioned under the illuminated hemlock. For the adventurous, there are 2 kayaks available for use at the water’s edge. There’s also hiking and mountain biking trails a short distance away. Before tucking in for restful nights sleep, close out your day beside the crackling fire while listening to the sounds of nature. Wake up in the morning to a beautiful sunrise over the water and possibly some wildlife right outside your door.

Thanksgiving in the woods

Had a great stay over thanksgiving. Site is awesome and wonderfully maintained. Has plenty of room to swing around and set up how ever you like. New power pole with 50 amp, 30 amp, and 20 amp plugs on dedicated breakers.

Mountain Brook Hideaway
We loved this amazing camp, peaceful and quiet and great for our dogs. The site is very spacious and easy to get in and out, even with a larger RV. It’s nice to be so close to the water. One of our dogs is reactive and this is a perfect Hipcamp for him where we can all relax together. Will definitely be back.

Mountain Brook Hideaway
I really enjoyed this Hipcamp site. The hosts were quick to respond and even set up the fire pit with wood. It was private, clean, and even lit with lights in the tree above the picnic table. One of the things that I loved about this site is the ability to buy fresh eggs or firewood if needed. I will definitely remember that in the future when I return.

Mountain Brook Hideaway
This spot was amazing and exactly as advertised. It was so quiet and peaceful, but we weren't so out in the woods that we felt uncomfortable or too isolated. The layout is simple so setting up our camper was easy, and the area is cozy.

Mountain Brook Hideaway
Mountain Brook Hideaway has just become our favorite Hipcamp! This is what all Hipcamps should strive for. Beautiful, private location, with so many hiking trail options. Level parking area with power, picnic table, Adirondack chairs, kayaks and a pond! The perfect fire pit was awesome. One of the trees lit up at night! David and Laurie were perfect hosts. We will definitely be going back!

Mountain Brook Hideaway
We LOVED this peaceful and pristine site. David and Laurie welcomed us in and were easy to reach. The sunrise and the sounds of wildlife added to the charm. Owners took great care and thought in this site. Level gravel site, fire pit with Adirondack chairs, new picnic table, and firewood on site for purchase through an app. The fairly lights in the tree just added to the night time ambiance. Oh, fresh eggs available, too! Because we have a reactive dog, Hipcamp gives us access to awesome, single sites like this. Would definitely return.

Mountain Brook Hideaway
Serene and lovely spot. Such a gem that we truly enjoyed exploring, our dogs loved playing and swimming at the waters edge and the string lights, chairs, and kayaks were such thoughtful touches; we loved exploring the pond with the kayaks. We weren’t able to meet our hosts due to inclement weather the day we were supposed to get there, but were able to communicate the entire time. Highly recommend

Mountain Brook Hideaway
Our stay at Mountain Brook Hideaway was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how spacious, quiet, and private the site was—it felt like our own little retreat tucked away in nature. We loved having the water all to ourselves, which made mornings so peaceful and gave us plenty of opportunities to sit back and watch the birds flying over. Kayaking was one of our favorite parts of the trip. There were so many cool places to explore—hidden crevices, winding passages, and even several beaver lodges that the kids were so excited to discover. It really felt like a hidden adventure at every turn. Back at camp, the kids enjoyed hours in the hammock while our dog loved being able to roam freely and safely in the wide open space. Our hosts, David and Laurie, were wonderful. Before our trip, they even sent us information on local hiking trails, which we really appreciated—it made planning so much easier and added even more fun to our adventure. On site, they made sure everything was just right, and it was such a treat to be able to purchase firewood right at the campsite. We even got a dozen fresh eggs from their farm, which made breakfast around the campfire extra special. Everything about Mountain Brook Hideaway exceeded our expectations—the peace and quiet, the natural beauty, and the thoughtful touches from the hosts. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already planning our next visit. This place is truly a gem!

A Lovely Spot!

The Mountain Brook Hideaway was such a great camping spot in the quiet woods of New Hampshire! The site was very easy to find with clear signage, and there’s a large gravel area that makes parking cars or even RVs simple. The property has everything you need for a relaxing stay including a fire pit, flat spots for tents, a picnic table, hammock, a couple of kayaks, firewood and eggs for purchase, and a beautiful view overlooking the marsh. It’s clear every detail was thought out to make this the perfect camping spot. We tent camped here and loved the experience! It was peaceful, private, and incredibly quiet. At night, the string lights hanging in the trees added such a cozy atmosphere. We got to see quite a few shooting stars as well! Highly recommend this spot, not just for the amazing amenities, but also for the gorgeous scenery and the sense of seclusion you get in the NH forest.

Another amazing stay!! This time we were treated to watching a bald eagle fish in the marsh. Lovely spot, highly recommend and Laurie and David are so helpful and accommodating.

Mountain Brook Hideaway
This site was gorgeous and quiet! Dave and Laurie were excellent hosts. They stopped by on Saturday to say hi and to make sure everything was set. Firewood and eggs were available for purchase. I would highly recommend this site if you want peace and quiet with an excellent view and not cramped at all. Electrical connection and easy in/easy out of the campsite was a bonus! Thanks Dave and Laurie. See you again soon!
