Welcome to Horseshoe Bend located in Tamworth NH! Very Private tent sites on the Bearcamp River! Come take your shoes off, relax and enjoy a soak! Most have Tent Platforms. There's plenty of dry and wet sandbars around each site. Make sure you bring a rope, tie off and enjoy the sunshine! https://visittamworthnh.com/about ALL sites now have designated wood fire pits and propane firepits. If its DRY enough high clearance vehicles may be permitted to drive to the sites. This is a case by case weather depending basis so message me with your vehicle info and keep an eye on the weather. They are prohibited due to dry fields, other campers and neighboring houses. Side note there is a gun range a few miles away! If needed Propane Firepits and easy pull wagons will be provided for each site except site 4 at the moment. You just need to bring a BBQ propane tank to hook up to the firepit. One full tank usually 4-5 nights. The store a couple miles away sells and exchanges them. You will park by the road, grab a cart (if needed) in the red shed and walk through the field (mowed walkway) to your specific site. When leaving please be respectful for the next campers. Make sure the site is clean, Firepit cover put back on and all garbage taken out with you. Please put carts back in the shed for the next hipcampers to use. Thanks! ALSO checkout our RV friendly sites at Stagecoach falls a couple miles away! To get to your reserved site just walk to the left around the red shed and follow the mowed path through the field until it splits into three paths. Site one is to the left. Site 2 the middle path. Site 3 is the right path. Even though we haven't seen any there are bears in New Hampshire so: Secure coolers, grills, cooking utensils, any food not in use, snacks, and anything with food odors inside the locked compartment of a vehicle or trailer or a bear proof storage locker if available. Wipe off picnic tables and grills. Properly discard aluminum foil used for cooking. Do not keep food/snacks in or around your tent!

Highly recommend!
Site was perfect! We set up our tents right on the beach! The river was so nice and a perfect spot to bring tubes and float. Very private. Having the picnic table and fire pit in the field was great! Would love to stay again. Highly recommend. And Kevin was very responsive and helpful!

Aqua Dogs
We had so much freedom, snorkeling and adventuring the river with our dog. We played and entertained ourselves for hours. The morning we left, we’re were visited by a female moose. Though at the time it was a dangerous situation, it was an experience I’ll always remember.

What an amazing view on both sides!!! Looking out at the water camp side and when you get in to the water and look back at camp, you get a beautiful shot of the Mountains. Would stay again for sure.

Loved this site. We stayed at it in August 24, and decided to book it again in October. Beautiful spot. Well maintained. Close to a few ranges for hiking.

Gorgeous private site
Beautiful site! Looks right over the river and you have a nice sandy beach access. Kevin has added touches that make the natural beauty even better. We appreciated having the picnic table, tent platform, and the lights. We will definitely return.
