It’s a very professional campground! I loved being so close to the River and the surrounding nature was beautiful. It was great even in the fall but I’d love to go in the summer and enjoy the water features.

A simple campground that offered little conveniences that added up to a great stay. My group arrived right before check in to pick site 4, which has a mini parking lot and is right next to the stream, and close to the outhouse. You can hear the highway, but it’s distant and quiet at night. Beautiful property and pathways; the site did have small tree/plant stumps that were easy to trip on so just watch your step.

Boulder Brook was the best campsite we could have stayed at! My group and I arrived just at check in so were able to check out all the sites quickly before choosing our own and all of them would have been perfect! The land is so well maintained and sites are far enough apart where I couldn’t hear any of the other groups at all. The outhouse was maintained perfectly and everything about the campsite was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. We walked around the property using the map shown at the campsite and it was all so beautiful and was such a gem. I will definitely be staying here in the future. Thank you Peter!

Very cute campsite with great walking trails. Good setup and easy to access. A little close to roads and highways so there is some noise but the accessibility is worth it!

Overall, a great experience at Bear Brook! We got there around 3 pm and were the last ones there and ended up getting site 2. If getting a specific camp site is important to you, I’d recommend arriving there promptly at check-in time. Site 2 was great - we could pull our car very close to the camping area & it was also conveniently located to the outhouse (which was super clean!). The availability of the firewood was a nice addition. We had no issues with bugs (probably makes sense given it’s cooling off in Sept) but could definitely hear the highway which was not an issue for us. Overall, great option for a night or two of car camping!

Great experience on Peter's land. Peter was very responsive when we had questions about the swimming hole, which we found thanks to his guidance and had a great time jumping off the rock ledge into the pristine pond.
We stayed at Site 4, the newest of the bunch. The platform was large enough for a 6 person tent, and we found a spot along the path for a 4 person tent. Only room for those two tents, so would recommend renting another site there for larger parties. Good thing it was clear all weekend, as we wouldn't be able to erect a party tent for cover. Not enough space, at least at Site 4.
Site 4 offers good privacy, and it's not far from its own parking area. We appreciated easy access to a lean-to with firewood for sale (venmo) and a very well maintained outhouse.
The brook wasn't quite babbling, as it hadn't rained much the previous weeks, therefore it didn't drown out the noise of the highway. It wasn't obtrusive, and music played at a low to moderate volume drowned it out.
We went in late Sept, so not many mosquitoes, but I would imagine it gets a little hairy in the summer being so close to the water. The only annoyance we experienced was often tripping over what remained of the skinny trees that were cut away to make the clearing. They were hard to see, especially at night, even with a headlamp.
All in all, very enjoyable experience. Would definitely visit again.

I loved pitching a tent on the beautiful brook. The elevated platform makes tent camping perfect. I loved the sound of the water falling over the rocks and the tall trees all around. What a peaceful spot!

this place is so pretty and peaceful. the private road to get out there is real bumpy but the sites are secluded enough that you barely know anyone else is there, and the one we chose had a small section of the firepit set up for easy cooking. we will absolutely be back.

An absolutely amazing piece of land. The campsites were nestled perfectly apart from one another, surrounded by a multitude of walking trails and leading to an outstanding swimming hole. I will certainly be visiting again.

I would definitely love to visit again.
There was no firewood left as I arrived a little later in the afternoon, so just come prepared.

These campsites need to be reservable not first come first serve. We got in late and got stuck with campsite 3 which required a ridiculously long trek to the campsite over extremely rocky ground even crossing a small rock bed that looked like it was supposed to be part of the brook. The wagon was barely a help since it was such uneven ground and I will not be back, it’s secluded so if that’s what your looking for it’s amazing but for someone just needing a place to camp for the night it was a terrible spot.

Peters land was awesome. Me and my girlfriend loved it. It was private, well-kept, and simple. We stayed at site 1 for 2 nights which was right next to the brook. Unfortunately the water was low so we weren’t able to see it flowing, but regardless it was a hit. It was just us and another group at site 4, was very quiet. The swimming hole was the highlight of the trip you can jump off the rock into the water. It was exactly what we expected and we both would love to come back. Thank you Peter for you land!!

Beautiful gravel road in to camp, in which we biked the next morning to the conveniently close rail trail to find a cute little cafe right in Raymond. Private camp spots. Each with its unique charm. A little highway noise as mentioned in other comments but I wouldn’t let that deter you from staying. Would stay again if I’m ever in the area.

Very spacious site with nice platform and cover (site 2), large fire pit with firewood available for purchase via venmo. Our site was on the creek which was nice to use water filter for more water, although mosquito reservoir in close proximity as a result. Can hear some highway noise but conversation and fire help override that. Nicely shaded and some places for hanging wet clothing, however a picnic table would be a great addition! Would recommend!

I really enjoyed my camping trip at Peter's land. The highlight for me was the exceptional privacy of the site, which made for a very peaceful and pleasant trip. The outhouse was impressively clean and well-kept. While the lack of electricity might not be for everyone, I found it enhanced the natural, off-grid feel of the camp. As expected with the natural water bodies nearby, there were a lot of mosquitoes, so come prepared with your favorite bug repellent!

This was a great low-key easy camping spot! The property was gorgeous and well maintained. The camp sites were private enough, while still having neighbors. You could definitely hear the highway but it didn't bother us much. The brook was loud at campsite 1! Would come back, the swimming hole was awesome too!

Such a great spot! Each site has something special about it, any site you end up at will be a great time! We enjoyed having access to firewood that we could easily purchase with venmo and such a great firepit! The platform was big enough to put two tents on (a four person and two person). There was lots to do around the area, without even leaving the property! We can't wait to come back, what an awesome place.

First off I want to say the huge lean-to of bone dry wood for sale, with slings supplied to carry it back to your site, was one of the best things. It was second to the swimming hole a short walk away. The public access to the swimming hole was not marked, and we were embarrassingly on the wrong end that was private. So do be sure to be on the north side of it. I wish that info was noted on the trip confirmation.
I was at Site 2, which was close to the privy, parking, and wood, but was cramped for tent space other than the platform. The fire pit could be smaller too. If you have multiple tents I wouldn't suggest that site. The platform was big enough for a 6 person tent though. Also, the site was close to other visitors that I could hear and see sometimes, but they weren't at all disruptive. The worst part was the deer flies and mosquitos. Definitely get a fire burning and some bug repellent on stat when you get there, especially closer to sundown. The privy wasn't too bad, it had a lot of toilet paper and hand sanitizer, but the smell was strong.
