You will find this campsite down an old forest trail, in a secluded part of our property, on the edge of the ocean. From your camping spot you'll have direct access to the Harbour de Lute, which has little to no development on it. At your site you will find fresh water in jugs, as well as a fire pit, and a cleared place to set up your tent. The washroom/shower is shared in the main home at this time. All camping gear can be provided for you at an additional cost.

The property, affectionally known as Mother Mushroom, is home to Campobello Island's only Market Garden, as well as a nano-brewery, focusing on small batch, traditional ales, and local flavours. With trails to the ocean, various farm animals, and fresh veggies and beer, this is a truly one-of-a-kind farmstay opportunity.

I ended up not being able to join this trip, so my partner and kiddo went instead. They loved it, especially the new baby pig — I’m hoping I can be there next time!

Mother Mushroom is a great place to stay! Laura and Zoltan are fantastic hosts, and very accommodating. It will only get better as they build out the space with a beer garden and more. Daikon and Mavis were great neighbors and were happy to take of our apple cores and other food scraps :)

Zoltan and Lauren had great spot but unfortunately the neighbor bulldozed a road through their site! They were accommodating but limited as to what to offer in replacement. The listing implied a shore side site but that was never offered. Curious to see what happens next! We did get a full refund but had to find other lodging for 3 nights.

We enjoyed the solitude and feel of being in the middle of nowhere, even though we were very close to restaurants, the lighthouse and Roosevelt campobello int’l park. The hosts were so friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond to make us comfortable, and make sure we had everything we needed. We would stay here again! The kids loved seeing the rabbits, pigs and cats!

Such kind and generous hosts! It was a joy to hear about the adventures of Laura and Zoltan’s homestead and get to taste the beginning of their beer from their new brewery. Zoltan and Laura were flexible when I made a mistake in my booking dates and made me feel right at home in a cozy tenting spot. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a chill camping spot and some knowledge about exploring the area!
