We have a 5 acre suburban campsite that is quiet, yet close to amenities. Located in south Lincoln between Highway 2 and the city limit, near shopping, restaurants, and breweries. Our property has a small seasonal creek with walking path through a forested area and meadow. Cottonwood Creek Camp has one RV site and one tent site. This can be a peaceful place to stay for a quick stop off or even during Husker game-day weekends. We are 6 minutes from Southpoint mall which offers a shuttle to Memorial Stadium. Super Target, Aldi's and many other stores are only 5 minutes away. Disc golf and mini golf courses are 2 miles away. There is also access to the Lincoln bike trails via our residential streets. Laundry is available on site for an extra fee. Easy access off Highway 2 at the 68th/70th Street Exit, continue via Saltillo Rd. and then north on 56th St.

You will have 2 options for setting up your tent. The first spot is on the right side of the driveway near the creek. This is closer to the bathroom but with more visibility of the road and accessible with parking on the driveway only. The second is located on the other side of the creek, accessed by a dirt driveway, with parking there next to the tent. This is more private but you must cross 2 small bridges to reach the bathroom. By renting the tent site, you will have access to a shared climate controlled bathoom, sitting area, kitchenette, and laundry area. Electricity can be available in shared space but not at tent site. Direct access to the camp site facility using the paved driveway for the building on our property with plenty of space for parking and privacy. This is a quiet urban acreage community. We do live on the property with a separate driveway to our house.

Set up your RV on the asphalt driveway, We have 20, 30 or 50 amp electric hookup and water hook up available. You will have access to a shared climate controlled bathoom, sitting area, kitchenette, and laundry area. The RV parking area is a back in spot on the separate driveway to a detached building on our property with plenty of space for parking and privacy. This is a quiet family community. We do live on the property.

Awesome spot to stop at during our cross-country move. The driveway is large making it easy to back up the travel trailer to the site. Water and multiple choices for electric hook up at a convenient location. The common room, kitchen and bathroom are great and the main reason we picked this spot. The area is shaded and quiet with only a few neighbors driving by the entire time we were there. I would highly recommend staying here

Lovely setting! The bathroom and common area were clean and so appreciated. The tent site was just perfect. We felt secluded and peaceful despite the property being easy to get to and accessible for our road trip. Absolutely recommend!

A lovely spot for a one night stay during a long road trip! This site was like a breath of fresh air; easy to access, private, and with WONDERFUL amenities like bathroom and shower, laundry, and kitchen. The nature walk is very pleasant and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Would stay again!

This was one of our favorite Hipcamp spots. It was in a very nice, quiet location. Although we never met Aaron and Megan, they were easy to reach through the app. What we loved most about this place was the use of their garage/office space which included a washer/dryer (for a fee), full bathroom, kitchen, and living room. Even though we have a fully contained RV, it was so nice to spread out and make use of these amenities.

We enjoyed our stay here. We had just come from western Nebraska and a night of severe thunderstorms and dust storms. Having a shower available was lovely and the ability to do a couple of loads of laundry was a plus. The neighborhood was quiet as advertised and we had a great night of sleep. The hosts were helpful and communicative. Highly recommend and I am sure if we are passing through the area we will stay again!

Such a nice stop for tenting off the busy highway. Host was extremely friendly. Came out to greet me & my dog, Vinny. After traveling from Pennsylvania for 3 days, it was nice to find somewhere with a very clean bathroom & sitting area. Would highly recommend!

Cottonwood Creek Camp was a great place to stay for a weekend trip to Lincoln! It was the perfect location -- easy to access anywhere we needed to go in Lincoln, but in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Aaron greeted us right when we arrived and let us know they had extra camping supplies if we needed any. They also had towels and laundry available for a very small fee. It was very nice having a communal space with a kitchen, bathroom, and living room space with some comfy chairs. All the peace of camping with the comforts of home! We would definitely stay here again.

This is my second time starting here and I love it. Access to the living room/kitchen/bathroom is SO amazing to have. It snowed while I was there and Aaron shoveled a path on the driveway for me and even helped me scrape off my car. Can’t recommend it more!

The site was very interesting, convenient, comfortable and lovely. It felt safe and quiet. We slept well and enjoyed the night sky. The hosts keep the property very clean and they could not have been more accommodating. Thank you for offering this site to us, especially in the winter. .

This was the perfect quick stop for us as we venture back across the country. The added benefit of the bathroom and shower made getting ready for another long day of driving way more bearable. Special shoutout to Aaron who was super accommodating when we showed up way later than we had originally planned (we hit bad holiday traffic). Thanks for helping us back in and get setup!

This place was a perfect pit stop for us. Honestly, if we were going to spend more time in the area we would have stayed longer. Great privacy in a safe quite neighbood. The use of some home amenities was also a huge bonus. Have this location starred for our next trip. Thanks

What a great place to land. We tent camped and loved it. The restroom, shower, kitchen, etc. is way more than one would expect when camping. Very clean and comfortable. This place is situated on a nice piece of property. I would definitely recommend this stay! We had the opportunity to meet Aaron. Very nice guy.

We had a great experience at cottonwood creek this weekend. We came into town for the husker game. The location was very welcoming and peaceful. All the facilities were very clean , well organized and maintained. We will definitely stay again!

This was such a a great experience for us! Staying in Lincoln for the Husker game, but we didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a hotel room, so this fit the bill! Aaron was exceptionally helpful from the time we pulled in, guiding us into the flat spot to park and showing us around everything we would need. The bonus indoor space was AWESOME!! Not only did we not have to worry about hooking up water, but we also didn't have to plan a trip to dump the black water tank later, leaving set up and tear down to be as easy as it gets. 100% recommend this spot! The only word of caution I would have is not to click on the map link on the listing - just map the physical address. Otherwise you may end up at a walking trail on the corner of a busy intersection. :)

Aaron and Megan’s place had just what I needed…a hot shower and a place to wash a load of clothes. They run a tidy, well organized place, and I was comfortable and felt safe. I would go there again.

I travel for work in my campervan with my dog, Goose. We had the nicest stay at Aaron and Megan’s. I generally clean up in my van and having a super clean bathroom and shower was such a bonus. I will definitely stay again! Thanks!

Cute little getaway!! Very urban but incredibly welcoming and cute. Stopped here for a quick overnight stay on a roadtrip so unfortunately didn’t get to experience the whole campsite but was a beautiful night. If you’re staying in Lincoln, this is the perfect spot to stay.

Beautiful oasis in a quite place by Aaron and Megan! We truly enjoyed staying in their property as it was the ideal setting to host an outdoor party for our Lincoln friends we had not seen for a while. The property is well run, clean and they respect your privacy. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your property Aaron and Megan, it was a great place!

Aaron and Megan have clearly taken a lot of time to make their property welcoming to guests. They even maintain a small little trail with a cute bridge that opens up into a much more wooded area. They were as nice as can be and even suggested local parks for a bit more area. The only thing to note is the site is just off the street, not super “remote” but they are very kind hosts.

This is truly an Amazing find! Both property and hosts are 5 star. Aaron and Megan have two sites available (1 RV and 1 tent). The perfect hosts - checking in was a breeze and we were graciously greeted by the host. Though we have an RV (and were thrilled with the bonus of water and electric hookups), this is a tent campers dream as they have a “outbuilding” that has shared facilities of laundry, shower/bathroom, living room and kitchen. The property is beautiful…you might be surprised as you drive into a “subdivision” but the properties are huge and private , so their little hip camp paradise provides comfortable camping with excellent proximity to Lincoln proper. They have even developed a little walking path through the wooded property that is absolutely beautiful. Cornhusker fans could have a little piece of heaven on game day weekends! (Should Wisconsin [gonBadgers] ever play in Lincoln…we hope to return for another delightful stay). We can’t recommend Cottonwood Creek highly enough!!
