Perfect spot for tent camping! The site was peaceful, private, and well-kept with plenty of flat ground for our tent and scenic walking trails. Brenda was friendly and responsive, and everything was exactly as described. Her son’s loaded us up with fire wood, too!

When we arrived, the grass was not cut, there was a lock on the water spout, and the Porta potty/tent had wet toilet paper on the toilet seat and the toilet paper on the roll was soaked. The good news is that after we contacted the host, she drove over and apologized saying that the tenant on the property had failed to prepare the site. She gave us a very large jug of water. She kindly allowed us to use the bathroom in her trailer that was close by. She kept the generator on so we had light to get to the bathroom. Hopefully in the future the host will make sure the camping sites are ready for campers. This was our first time using Hipcamp so we don’t know if it is an issue with Hipcamp or just the host.

Nice quiet location. We enjoyed a nice bonfire, relaxed looking at the stars and slept well listening to the nature sounds!

It was exactly what new needed. We were traveling to CO and needed a place to sleep along the way. It was quite. It looked like other ppl were living or traveling too. But not one bothered us. It is on an unpaved road, just fyi.

This was a perfect overnight for me. Slightly off the beaten track, and down a dusty gravel road. But so worth it. The site was level. The birds were chirping, and I was truly happy. I did have to button up my campervan when the raccoon showed up, but seeing wildlife is always a bonus. I’d recommend this Hipcamp site to anyone, be it for a single night, or longer.

We were on a cross-country roadtrip and due to an unexpected delay, we needed to find a place for an extra night of camping. Our hosts were very accommodating for our last minute booking. They were having issues with a broken water pipe on the property, but they brought us two large jugs of potable water and a bucket of water for the campfire. The site was clean, quiet, and filled with beautiful trees. The gravel road was a bit dusty, but our site was far enough off the road that we didn't have to deal with the dust.
Our biggest concern was the toilet. It was a portable camping toilet in a privacy tent, which is fine. We're camping, so we're okay with roughing it a bit. But the zipper on the privacy tent was really flimsy and I was afraid it was going to tear, and there was a suspicious brown smear on one of the interior walls.
I'm also glad we were the only booking for the night. Had the other two spots been booked, there would have been no privacy, as the whole camping area is fairly small. It was plenty of room for just us, but it's something other campers might want to be aware of.
In short, while we're not sure we would stay here again, we were grateful for a safe, budget friendly place to camp for the night.

Great spot. Ron was very welcoming and helpful. For you cyclists out there, this spot is only 3 miles on quiet gravel roads from the MoPac Rail Trail-- excellent riding. Excellent place to stay.

We had a fine stay here. The hosts were very nice and accommodating, offering additional tables and firewood and had even set up a new bathroom tent on short notice after their previous bathroom had been ruined by campers.
That being said, the space is much smaller than it appears in the photos. It's right by the road and if anyone else has a tent site booked, you are essentially sharing one area with no privacy. Also the time of year I went was very dry and dusty and so every time someone drove by on the gravel road, dust was kicked up into the air right next to where you are staying. The other couple that had a tent site booked ended up leaving because they were disappointed with the site, which was great for me so I didn't have to share the space.
For $12 (what I paid) I do think the site was reasonable and safe, but it was definitely not as big/private as I was expecting or hoping for based on the photos. I would have preferred to spend more to have the whole area to myself or at the very least just had more realistic expectations of the site.
