Woody's Love Shack
Woody is a genuine, kind person. Similar to other reviews, he is quick to offer anything to improve your stay. The basecamp overall is an evolving project and is well on its way to being a great lodging-hub. We stayed in the Love Shack. It was comfortable and accommodating with convenient access to Glacier National Park. Visit Kalispell for any amenities and take a walk down to the lake to enjoy a great view.

Absolutely loved staying at woodys place. He was very welcoming and kind. We had a great time telling stories around a fire he made us. Extra points for his super cute and playful pup. 10/10 recommend.

I see Woody's vision and I think one day this campsite will be great.
There were a lot of discrepancies from the photos and description of amenities which he said were provided vs what was there. It was very misleading, the photo showed a grassy field next to a barn/garage and what was really there was a bunch of gravel and heavy machinery.
Aftsd some back and forth Woody provided us with a refund and we left rafter 1 night.
I think once all of the pieces fall into place this site will be great but the descriptions and photos were not accurate.

Woodys has been a great place to spend a few nights while I pass through town. His tipis are set up on a small hill above his home, and are obviously well cared for and tended to. The hill up to the tents has lots of pretty wildflowers, and the tents and paths on the hill are lit nicely at night. The bed is a comfortable air mattress.
He had a solar shower and portable latrine available had I wanted to set them up. The bathroom is a well maintained porta-potty by the house.
Woody is a great guy, he’s been nothing but hospitable and has given me some insider tips for the area. He offered to have a campfire waiting for me when I first arrived, and he even let me use the shower in the main house since no one was staying there. I’m planning to be back :)

Woody was an amazing host! So warm, welcoming, and accommodating! He was so fun to be around and made sure I was comfortable, safe, and happy. When I arrived late at night he was hosting everyone around the fire. He gave great recommendations, and his place was beautiful and perfectly located. I will be back!

Loved staying on Woodys property! Great location near Flathead Lake! He worked endlessly to fix things and make our stay as comfortable as possible! Loved his sweet dog Shep! Good guy with a big heart!

Woody was extremely kind and accommodating to me and my friend when we showed up for our stay . I can't express enough gratitude for him opening his home to us . This is a simple set up, no frills. But a roof over our heads and a warm bed was more than we could ask for! ❤️🩹these are kind Real Montanans sharing their land and hearts with you. Please treat Woody and the other fire fighting guests on the land with kindness and respect 🙏

I came down from Canada with my girlfriend and stayed at Woody's campground for a weekend. Woody was a great host, attentive and easy to contact whenever we needed anything. He is always floating around making sure everything is going smoothly for the campers. The description for the campsite did not have me imagining anything else, I showed up and it was as I had expected based on what I read on HIPCAMP. Everyone was open to visiting and it was a very communal environment during the evening when the fires were lit. If I ever come camping near Somers MT, I'll be looking to stay at woody's again.

Woody was nice however the place was a lot more rugged than anticipated and not all amenities listed were readily available. Definitely see the vision but not fully executed quite yet.

Had a good camping experience staying with Woody and Josh! They were very helpful and generous! Even though there wasn’t onsite showers, there were showers nearby we used at Falls Coin Wash. You will have a nice stay booking with them! I will definitely come back!

Air Opps With Lake View.
Woody’s was absolutely awesome. Very chill vibes and fun and funky set ups. You can stay in a tipi like tent, a camper, a cabin, a boat or set up your own tent. The place is set up for First responders as a base camp but open to the public so everyone there seems to be grateful, fun and very helpful. As Woody says, it’s rough around the edges and plum crazy so if you are an intrepid traveler, this place is for you. Not to mention Woody is a gem of a human.
It’s Close to the lake with lots to do and surrounded by forest to the north.
Shepperoo the friendly guard dog was so sweet to our dog and to my kids as well.
Cute flower gardens and sunflowers popping up around the tent section and lots of healthy trees around.
We will decently be back and suggest it to those with chill easy vibes and open hearts.

The Shady Lady Site.
Woody was welcoming, prepared for our arrival, and available to help with anything we needed. We stayed in The Shady Lady which was all we needed (a place to put up the tent for the night) but the glamping sites up on the hill looked really nice and if we are ever in the area again we would likely book one of those.
