The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings. ***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

Site 2 is truly a site to pitch a tent. It’s not large enough for a large car camping set up. The parking spot and tent spot are super close to each other, but it’s not a contiguous space. TENT CAMPERS ONLY PLEASE. Contact Terri with any questions. 2 people max preferred. Also, this is a grassy spot not gravel but very flat and not rocky. The Mooseshroom is an amazing camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park.   Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests  use as well. The Crooked Love Shack is the perfect place to hang your hiking boots after a long day exploring Glacier NP. It’s comfy, cozy and SO close to the park…..an easy 7 mile drive. It’s rustic and very Montana! Guests will love having a great wifi connection and a big screen TV to watch a movie or catch up on.....whatever.....!! It has a great set up for those needing a desk and designated work space.

Absolutely love this place! Terri is an incredible host, welcomes you and brings you to your spot and just give you a nice spot to reset. I ended up having to change my plans a lot and she was so gracious with helping me figure out something to do instead and working with me since I needed to stay additional nights. The bathrooms and showers were heavenly... she leaves towels in there for you😁 the kitchenette area was wonderful to store some food and have some coffee on thr porch with those that were around that day!. Shot out to Trippin Glacier too!! Gave me some suggestions on what to do with my suddenly free day and it was a great little adventure. Loved the area, loved having a friendly host to talk to. Can't wait to come back!

Terri goes above and beyond with everything she provides. IE I didn't expect towels, soap, shampoo, etc. She has a great spot in the kitchen to leave food behind for others. My buddy enjoyed the Oreo's. I got up early to make coffee but she had done everything except push the button. Regarding the train, whoever is running the trains loves to use the horn so be prepared for that.

The MooseShroom is the best place I’ve camped! The site itself was nice and the common area was wonderful! Terri has put so much love into her place and it shows. She is wonderfully hospitable and I felt instantly at home. She was flexible with my stay and let me extend my stay a few times. I will definitely be back!

A Terrific Yurt Camping Experience!
Glacier Yurt
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Terri’s two-person yurt and common areas, which include a well equipped kitchen, restrooms with warm showers, and a large outdoor deck with BBQ grill, plenty of seating, and a fire pit with chairs. Terri has created an outstanding environment that combines artful decor with functionality, and her attention to many details to ensure her guests’ comfort was noticed and truly appreciated. Highly recommended!

Glacier Yurt
Terri is an amazing host and the yurt is beautiful. The bed is extremely comfortable and the community kitchen, patio and bathrooms are well designed for a community atmosphere.

Terri was the best! Lovely property and super close to west glacier which was amazing. The commons area was very clean and made our camping experience so much better! Loved the kitties and doggo and the fresh coffee! 10/10 would stay again :)

The sites themselves are fine and the shared space is amazing (great showers/ restrooms and the kitchen has everything you need). Loved connecting with other travelers over dinner and a fire. Unfortunately the constant train noise makes it about impossible to sleep. There must be a crossing nearby as they blow their whistles every time they come through (about every hour and a half) and even earplugs don’t drown the noise. The shared space and yurt are down a hill so you don’t hear the trains as much down there but the tent sites are higher on the property and between the highway and train noise, I barely slept. I had read the other reviews and info and thought I would not be that bothered by the noise but it’s so frequent that I am thankful I only stayed one night.

Glacier Yurt
Such a gem! Terri’s place is well stocked with cooking gear (and coffee!), as well as some kittens and a dog for all the pet snuggles you might need. The mattress in the yurt was very comfortable, and the whole experience felt super luxe after a few nights of camping. Terri is super friendly and happy to chat and share recs for eating, drinking, and exploring nearby.

Glacier Yurt
This place is great! 5 minute drive to glacier National Park west side. Convenience of her facilities make it so easy to cook, and shower in her hip camp facility. She makes everything a breeze to enjoy your trip. She’s an excellent resource as well!! A++++++

Having stayed at a few different places, we came to realize the host makes it or breaks it when it comes to the site. Terri totally made this place awesome. Terri is amazing--she took a genuine interest in us, kept a very clean and wonderfully stocked place, offered up advice, and just made us feel so welcomed and known. My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer.

What a place! Upon arrival it was easy to find my spot. For spot #4 I recommend a higher clearance vehicle since we had a sedan and on the drive to the spot we did drive over rocks that scrapped the bottom. Once your there you MUST check out the common area! Everything you can think of is there along with a very clean bathroom and a hot shower!

Crooked Love Shack
Had an awesome stay at the crooked love shack. Perfect location for adventuring at glacier. Had everything we needed for cooking and sleeping after long days of hiking. Terri was great and had plenty of recommendations for hikes and placed to eat. Definitely will be back next time we are in glacier!

Staying at Mooseshroom was a delight. Easy to find and access, and had all the amenities one could want (and more!). Access to kitchen/cooking things was especially appreciated, in addition to the bathrooms. Terri was a very helpful and friendly host too, with the support of her very cute critters. And so close to West Glacier! Would absolutely stay again.

My husband and I loved Terri’s land! The outhouse was well stocked, it had a regular kitchen fridge that you could place items in if needed, coffee, water, cups and such. The bathrooms had clean towels for us, q-tips, floss and were kept very clean. There were two fire pits, a hammock, and picnic table. The best part were the most adorable resident kittens, pup and hummingbirds! We stayed at site 5 which was close walking distance to the outhouse. No picnic table at that one though we ate on the go during our short visit. You will occasionally hear trains and/or traffic (land is near the road) —Terri supplies ear plugs which I noticed in the outhouse as well :) we didn’t need the ear plugs and slept just great! We live a few hours away and plan on returning, highly recommend!

We loved our camping spot, close to the commons area but still very private. Bathrooms and showers were clean, and plenty of options to cook meals outside. Ask Terri for any tips about glacier NP and the surrounding area, she will not lead you astray! Definitely our favorite place we stayed on our 5 week road trip.

We had a fantastic stay at Mooseshroom! The location is perfect, just a short drive to West Glacier Park and conveniently close to shops for any necessities. Terri is incredibly nice and hospitable, making sure we felt right at home. The commons area is very clean and well-equipped with everything you need to make your stay both convenient and comfortable. Highly recommend!
