Our experience on the farm was wonderful. Sunrises, sunsets, watching thunderstorms sweep across the valley, wild rabbits and deer, pigs snorting in their pen and sheep wandering just about anywhere they please. Inside the wagon, the bed was great and the blankets made the cool nights comfortable. We even got a bonus tour of the working wool mill on the farm! We will definitely be staying in the wagon again when we are traveling through the area!

I really enjoyed Sheepherders Cabin. It's private, cozy and quiet; I got a good night's sleep. LaVonne was welcoming and responsive without hovering. Good stargazing. It's on a working farm, though, and may not appeal to everyone. The shower and the bathroom are rustic as well.

A genuine sheep herders wagon w/sheep as neighbors. As LaVonne put it, “the original tiny home.” Clean and as simple as it gets. I personally enjoyed the Thoreau-esque simplicity of it. I thought of Walden more than once during my stay. I deeply appreciated the opportunity to share this kind of experience with my nephews.

Such a cute spot to stay with all the farm animals nearby! LaVonne was welcoming on arrival. There is one outhouse and one shower available for several people (3 other groups were there when we were) but it worked out! It took us about 20 minutes to drive into Bozeman but this was worth it for the peace and quiet out on the farm. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Old homestead feeling

We had the best time at the sheephearders camp. The cabin was comfortable an well cared for. The decorations were perfect for the rustic feel. Including my games and plates and flatware. The hosts were very nice and checked in on the guests. Wonderful stay and would recommend highly for anyone that wants a serous camp feel. (i.e. 100 years ago)

We had a wonderful time in the wagon! It was the perfect place for us to get some much needed rest and enjoy the gorgeous countryside. We had a storm the night we stayed, and it was such a lovely place to weather it. The wagon stayed perfectly dry despite the downpour, and gave us a lovely view of the lightning. Will absolutely be back next time we’re in town!

I love staying in LaVonne’s sheepherder’s wagons!! This was my second stay. I’m a big fan of LaVonne’s wool mill and enjoy hearing about her many creative projects. The outdoor shower was wonderful, and I slept so well in the comfy bed! My dog loved hanging out in the den-like cubby under the bed. The pastoral setting is quiet and provides beautiful sunsets!

We really enjoyed our one-night stay in the wagon on LaVonne's beautiful farm property. Everything was well communicated and the listing is fully accurate, although no words can really do it justice. We would come back again next time we pass through!

Fun, Cozy Wagon!

Fun alternative to a hotel in Belgrade or Bozeman. Cozy wagon, no set-up for us (like with camping) & ready to go. We had the place to ourselves - that is, except for the nearby farm animals - Lllama, Sheep, Cows, Chickens & a few Pigs. Fun. Also visited at sundown by a small group of Deer, a Bald Eagle & a couple of Grouse. A quiet, peaceful night with a Rooster wake-up call just in time for us to hit the road! Not for everyone - outhouse nearby - but just right for us!

We had such fun staying in the Brussett Wagon! We were there on a very hot day and were thankful the wagon was in the shade (the only shaded camp spot) so we could sit under the tree and watch the farm animals. City slickers like us get a real kick out of cows, goats, sheep, chickens, and pigs doing their thing. And there was an alpaca and donkey too! The cabin was simply decorated and had a comfy bed. The outdoor shower was refreshing after a long day. It was an overall delightful experience!

This was an amazing experience! LaVonne was very kind and helpful, waking up to a sunrise on a farm couldn’t get any better. The wagon is spacious with a fun hidden table! 10/10 would recommend :)

Serene farm stay in rural Montana! The bed is extremely comfortable and the cabin is adorable. The farm has a number of roosters, sheep, pigs, and even a llama! A few important notes: 1) The roosters crow quite a bit at both dawn and dusk. If you're a light sleeper, be warned! 2) We took an Uber to and from the farm. It was $50 each way from Bozeman and while it was relatively easy to get a ride to the farm, getting back was much more difficult. There were very few Ubers / Lyfts available and the wait time was 30 minutes, with both apps saying they may not be able to match us with a driver. This stay is probably more sensible for folks who already have access to a vehicle.

Wonderful rustic and historic space that was extremely comfortable and private with delightful communal amenities and animal friends! The solar shower worked great- warm and private with a beautiful view, much needed toiletries and fresh clean towels. Cows, chickens, and goats were friendly and sociable and a delightful bonus to interact with!

Comfortable and unique stay on beautiful land with all amenities and tons of adorable and interesting animals! The wagon was roomy and warm with lots of personal touches and in great condition. LaVonne was an excellent communicator and gave us an informative tour on arrival. Highly recommended, I will definitely be back the next chance I get!

What an incredible little gem. My husband and I spent our 18th anniversary here and we could not have loved it more. The bed was cozy and unbelievably comfortable. I full-size bed which is smaller than what we are accustomed to, but it made for excellent cuddling. LaVonne made us feel at home and was a gracious host. We will reflect fondly on this memory for many years to come.

Quaint, cozy, well maintained.

Stay here! This is way better than its even advertised! The hosts are incredibly welcoming but also respect your privacy. The farm animals were my favorite part! The wagon was small and cozy. My partner is 6’3 and had no problem getting a great nights sleep. LaVonne also makes the most beautiful things from wool! Will definitely be coming back the next time we need a vacation!

LaVonne's meadow is great! We loved all the animals (sheep, goats, mini mule, piglets, chickens, even an alpaca!), the sheepherder wagons were cool, LaVonne was lovely and welcoming and the hot shower was great. Would highly recommend.
