Rock Creek Retreat- Red Lodge, MT
no H/Us but walk to downtown
no frills campsite within walking distance to downtown. two RV sites to choose from within very close proximity to each other, we got lucky to not have a neighbor during our stay. bring leveling blocks! beautiful rock creek runs along the back of both sites. deer in the yard daily and nightly and lots of droppings! enjoyed our stay in this cute mountain town with an easy homebase. must try perogative kitchen for dinner while in town! wifi did not work for us but great cell service.

Rock Creek Retreat- Red Lodge, MT
Nature in town
Fantastic spot! The location was truly walkable to the main street, Broadway. Red Lodge itself is charming and full of great little shops, food (Cattail Bakery is sooo good), and things to do.
We had some minor confusion upon arrival, but the hosts were quick to follow up with us - even with our late booking! We didn’t book until just before we arrived at 8:30pm. They have 2 spots that have markers indicating spot 1 and 2. The ground was quite level. Spot 1 wasn’t occupied so we had lots of space. I kinda think if it had been taken then we would’ve felt a tiny bit cramped.
The sites are right along the creek and it’s beautiful, you won’t feel like you’re missing nature by being in town. If you love the sound of running water, you’ll love this spot. We could hear the creek from within our RV and it was lovely. Also, you’ll see deer roam around throughout the day.
The sites are situated at the edge of a neighborhood so we only ran out generator during daytime hours. Quiet time is 10pm-6am. There was a really sweet older gentleman next door!
The creek has a rather high drop in. The bank has been eroded and we didn’t make it down to the water. Our dog did take a little misstep off the side and slide a couple of feet, but he just ran at it and got back up.
We loved this spot and will remember it for years to come!
