Great spot right off the highway!
This is an awesome spot! We camped here in our pop up camper for one night while passing through the area. Dan is very nice and welcoming, and the a lot is lovely and peaceful, right on the river with great views. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stop here again!

Dan the man!!
We were needing something last minute, and found this awesome stay. Dan was an amazing host. Great communication and an amazing human! He welcomed us with some fresh eggs, as well as suggestions for fly fishing nearby. He was even kind enough to take pictures while we were fishing! The view of the river and mountains from the site were amazing. Overall, we would absolutely stay again if ever passing through. Worth mentioning, there are train tracks on the other side of the river (pretty wide river)… only a few during the day and none at night, so that didn’t bother us at all. You are also pretty close to a shed, so there are miscellaneous items in the surrounding area, which again didn’t bother us. We felt more than safe and welcome!

Aptly named Riverside because the site literally looks out on a gorgeous river! Host is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. This was my first Hipcamp experience and I will definitely do it again. Location is less than 5 miles off the interstate for easy access. Dog park just a mile or so away. for pets.

Good spot!
Perfect stop on our way to our final destination. The site is very level and overlooks the Clark Fork River. I enjoyed chatting with Dan the next morning. He gave us some tips on a couple of places to visit on our drive to Flathead Lake.

Our favorite Hipcamp yet!
We loved River’s Edge! Dan was the perfect host. He truly wants all guests to have a wonderful stay. We stayed in site 5 in our 35’ fifth wheel and had no issues getting into the spot. We had an awesome view of the river and enjoyed beautiful sunsets every evening. We did experience some bad weather one day while we were out and about and Dan was nice enough to call us to warn us of the high winds and offered to put our awnings in for us. There were no hookups at site 5, however he has put in a septic tank and there is a water spicket between site 4 & 5 so we did reach our water hose over to fill up on water and then pulled into site 4 to dump before departing because the site was empty. You do hear trains but we loved watching the trains go by so recommend this spot for any train enthusiasts! The trains weren’t loud enough to keep us up at night & I don’t really think many go by overnight. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we’ll definitely be back!

The site did overlook the river but it was also across from train tracks so if you don’t mind a few train blasts in the night it will work. The host is very nice and is in the process of fixing up the small sites that are very close to each other and are basically parking spots in the host’s driveway. The chickens are fun to watch!

Great spot with a wonderful view!
Dan was a great host, recommended which site (site #5) would be best for us to watch the 4th of July fireworks over the river and he was so right! Our two year old loved sitting out behind the camper watching the show. River view was great and Dan had trimmed the trees to ensure the view was there. Site itself was fairly flat and spacious. No one was in the site next to us which made it even nicer. You are parked next to his house, so there is some equipment and such around (a trailer, a boat, other misc things)- didnt both us but good to know what to expect. We would definitely stay again!

Site 2 - Rivers Edge Retreat
We stayed 1 night in this nice location in our 20' travel trailer. The site was plenty wide for our slide out and long enough that we didn't have to unhook our truck. It is back in - however there was plenty of room to jockey your rig around. The view of the river is to die for - it's literally right at your feet. This place is in a rural neighborhood so there is the occasional car or truck noise and there are train track nearby. Dan was easy to work with. He came and checked on us a couple of times but other than that, we were on our own.

From the moment I arrived Dan was extremely helpful. Backed my rig in for me and continued to be there for me during my stay. Clark Fork River way below his property but able to watch from above with my coffee and wine. He is doing a lot of work on the property so projects scattered about. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Site 2 - Rivers Edge Retreat
We stayed four days over Memorial day weekend at Rivers Edge Retreat. The Host Dan was very nice abd helpful. Let us fill our water tank. The spot was level and had a nice view of the river out our back window. The view of neighbor across the road is kinda junky but no biggy to us. The road had light traffic, it was quite at night. We felt safe. Just short walk into town with some good restaurants, ice cream, bars and good sized dog park. Discovered the town of St. Regis has a big Flea Market over the holiday and there was a fun mounted horse shooting contest at the fairgrounds to watch. The nearby golf course looked nice, we didnt play cause it rained that day. The verizon signal was fine during the evening, we think the holiday events took alot of the bandwidth during the day. We'd stay again.

Very Misleading!
Was not at all like the photos. I was parked up against a shed , views of junk. The only view of the river was BEHIND my trailer. The host was nice, but I left after only staying one night out of 3. It was memorial weekend, and I drove 2 hours back home. I was very uncomfortable there. I wish I could attach photos of the disappointing experience.

From the moment we pulled in to Dan's place, he treated us like old friends. His spaces are all level and there's plenty of shade. Our site had a peek-a-boo riverview, and there was plenty of room for us and our two dogs to hangout outside under the trees. Dan is super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Thanks for everything, Dan!

Great riverfront spot!!!
Dan was great and the property was amazing. Nice level pad backed right up to the river. Close to town yet far enough from the traffic and highway. Can’t say enough about how great of a host Dan was he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone and hit the Hiawatha bike trail while you’re there.

My group and I arrived late in the evening after dark. Dan was incredibly helpful with directions and made sure we were easily able to find his place. He was super kind in making sure we had everything we needed. We were only there for the night passing through, but it was a great stopover place to see the stars at night.

Very convenient.
Host is extremely accommodating, we had mentioned that shade was important as we had our dog with us, so he moved us to an alternative site with more shade. Recommended an overlook up the road a ways, that was well worth the trip. Location is convenient to the Hiawatha bike trail. All in all a good experience.

Overlooking the Clark Fork
We had a good stay at Rivers Edge Retreat with my cousin and daughter. It is right next to the Clark Fork river and across from its confluence with the St. Regis river. We were a little concerned after hearing that some parts of the Clark Fork were on flood watch. That is nothing to worry about here even though the river was running high, the campsites are probably 20 feet above the river at that spring runoff stage. The sites we had ( 4 & 5) were under the the towering Ponderosa Pines and Doug Fir. Dan, the owner, was very friendly and helpful and an all-around nice host. He pointed us to some of the local attractions and scenery overlooks. We were able to fill our freshwater tanks with water from his water hydrant. We also borrowed a folding table to gather around for meals and board games.

We had a great one night stay at Dan‘s place. It was very hot when we arrived and he arrange for us to move over into a shaded spot which we really appreciated as we had our pets in the RV. Our 39 foot RV fit nicely into the space he provided which was mostly level (we felt we didn’t need to use our jacks). He was very welcoming and enjoyable and invited us up onto his private deck to watch the sunset (which was beautiful). It was a bit of a scramble to get down to the river but we were rewarded with gorgeous views and the water was quite refreshing! All in all we had a great stay at Dan’s place.
