This is a wild property bordered by public land. No electricity, no plumbing. Just an exceptional piece of land, with a cold rushing creek to beat the heat, meadows with butterflies and flowers, privacy, and great views of the valley and surrounding mountains.  We have three cabins spread across the lot. Enjoy the smell of fresh milled wood and the sounds of the nearby creek. The cabins are spread far enough apart to offer privacy to each party, but know that you may still see other travelers on the land during your stay.  In addition to the cabins, enjoy the outdoor picnic and dining area, an outdoor gas stove, and a gas-powered fire pit. Outhouse with bucket toilet + cedar chips + bucket liners. Please pack it in, pack it out.

Forest cabin on the creek, dogs OK
This was our third time staying with Josh - we've now stayed at all three of his cabins, and they're all great! Relaxing camping right next to Emigrant Creek, and a 10 minute drive down the back roads to Chico Hot Springs - best of both worlds!

Josh's camp is in a great location at the base of the mountains on a roaring creek. The cabin is a great place to disconnect. There's great fishing and hiking nearby and don't miss the hot springs at the town of Chico. Josh was helpful and accommodating, I highly recommend staying here if you're in the area.

Jim Bridger historic cabin 3
We loved cabin #3 ! It was secluded and had a gorgeous view. The rushing creek next to the cabin added to the idyllic location. The cabin was rustic but well equipped and we were cozy & comfortable! We hope to return!

Simple, comfortable w marmot pond!
A marvelous stay at Jim Bridger cabin! My son and I experienced a very special place, filled with an old west setting and history. Cabin was basic but comfortable, with a nice porch overlooking the mountains and a tiny pond below, featuring a talkative marmot. Best of all was the stream, steps away, providing the solace and miracle of cold, free flowing water. 4 stars all around!
