Site looked like it would be amazing, but unfortunately we were arriving after dark on a cross country trip and were unable to find the site. We ended up setting up our tent in a flat spot we found. There were lots of rough roads around and we tried them all for about 30 minutes, but didn’t feel like we could safely keep going with low visibility. When we could see in the day, we could tell it would be a very cool place to stay! Jody was very nice and was out of town, but responded quickly. Unfortunately, his instructions weren’t super clear to us. Would recommend getting very clear instructions if arriving after dark.

Rural field adventure
The location was perfect for our cross country trip. It was definitely a little more difficult to get to than we expected with several miles of gravel road leading to a very low maintained dirt road. Definitely recommend for someone who has a truck! There was a small rock fire pit which was great! We had to pull some of the overgrown grass from around it but enjoyed it none the less. I wouldn't reccomend this place for cars or campers but if you need a nice quiet beautiful night under the stars in a tent, it's a 10/10. Cell service was spotty which was okay because we didn't really need it.

Enjoyed camping near the river. Beautiful sunsets. Would recommend for vehicles that have good road clearance.

It did not work out.
Unfortunately we did not stay, we requested a booking but did not realize that the booking was not instantly. Because we were in close proximity of the property we waited a bit on the site of the road in the hope to get an answer but with reading the response rate and the time within the host had to react we decided to skip and look for something else. I did send a message immediately to disregard our booking or cancel right away with explanation to Jody, 2 hours later he excepted our booking and even gave us a call to tell that we were welcome but then we were well on our way and found another place to stay. So it did not work out.

River views on remote cattle ranch
Beautiful views of the Marias River and the remote spaces of northern Montana cattle country. Jody was friendly and helpful. Our Hyundai SUV did fine on the dirt roads

Beautiful spot & super nice host. The river is accessible and wonderful to swim in. We had the place to ourselves, and would absolutely stay here again.
