This property has been a farm and ranch since 1863 it was used as a stage stop for travelers going to the gold fields in Bannock and Virginia City Montana. Come check us out. We offer two private campsites on the Gallatin River near Logan, Montana, 1/4 mile apart on a working farm and ranch. Ranch also is located below ATT and Verizon cell towers. Five minutes from entrance gate to interstate ninety. We are thirty minutes from Bozeman, six miles from Three Forks, MT, three miles from Headwaters State Park (Headwaters of the Missouri River), 12 minutes from the Copper City Mountain biking trails, 20 minutes from Lewis and Clark Caverns, eight miles from Madison Buffalo Jump. Yellowstone National Park is two hours south of the property.  Easy full recreational access to the Gallatin River, including fishing if you follow Montana FWP rules and regulations. Gallatin River is a blue-ribbon trout stream and there are four additional blue-ribbon trout streams that are within close proximity. Inhabited by most major indigenous species of Montana, except bison and mountain goats.  This is a working farm and ranch and equipment and activities related to the operation should be expected also a train runs close to property. Host lives on the property and is available to contact.

Awesome place with plenty of room, Roger was awesome! We stayed at site 1 which wasn’t directly on the river but it was a short trail to the river and you had your own private beach. I actually drove my truck down the trail and made it to the beach. 100% recommend.

Great spot next to the river where the kids could splash in the river, we caught trout, watched nesting eagles and enjoyed locally grown corn! We will be back next year!

This spot was a good overnight location for us and provided a spectacular Montana sunset. We did have to drive about a mile on a dirt road, which was no problem for me, but a little concerning for my glamper husband:) You can hear trains passing by and the site is near a shooting range-not an issue after dark, but a little noisy during the daylight hours. Host was friendly and helpful.

We loved the spot. We called Roger when we were 15 min away so he could come lead us to a very private piece of the property. Right on the Gallatin River with a fire pit and all the space in the world. There was a Golden Eagle hanging out in a tree and a rattlesnake skin 10 ft from our RV. It's 30ish minutes from Bozeman and even less to the airport. We met Roger and his wife briefly. They we're very easy to communicate with and easily earn a 10/10. We'll be back!

The space is absolutely beautiful and very private. There is a ton of space between the campsites. Roger was communicative and welcoming. There is a firepit, which we didn’t use, but it was great. It is right on the river, so don’t forget the bug spray

Ah! I can't say enough good things about this spot. I only stayed for a night, but I wish it was longer. Beautiful sunsets, zen scenery, a large area to post-up / set-up camp in and close access to the river to dip your toes in... it doesn't get much better than that! Roger is super friendly and helpful upon arrival. It's a relatively quiet location with the occasional train (which added to the whole vibe, imo!) and I was able to reach the site with my little teardrop trailer with ease. Traveling alone, feeling safe is a priority, and I felt really good about it my entire stay. I will 100% opt to stay here again in the future when passing through Three Forks!

This was a lovely campsite! We stopped overnight on our cross country trip. Roger was a fantastic host - great communication, super friendly, and lead us to the site once we arrived. This site is peaceful beside the river with a nice little trail down to the river bank to explore. Lots of room to set up our camper. Would definitely stay again next time we’re out west!

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Gallatin River Getaway. The two sites are massive and well separated so that one is completely alone on the river. One may hear traffic on I-90 which is about a mile away and the trains across the river, but not being near anyone else was so relaxing. The sites are near trees, but not in them, which is great for Starlink and solar panels. Great fishing depends on the time of year, the water flow and the water temperature. Roger is a fantastic and caring host too!

Amazing views. The serenade of the river and birds was remarkable. The hosts hospitality was so friendly. I would absolutely stay here again. This is the Montana living!

Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful views, fantastic little fire pit, loved falling asleep to the sound of the River! Perfect distance between campsites, and a phenomenally kind host, 10/10 recommend!

Beautiful spot to camp near the river, and Roger was great in leading us to it and chatting. Wish we could have enjoyed it more but the weather had us calling it an early night. Would definitely return to this spot if we’re ever back in the area.

Relax on the River

Serene setting right on the river! Quiet and safe, with plenty of sky to see the stars. Roger is an amazingly generous host, and be sure to get some fresh corn! Nearby gun range can be heard, but didn’t bother us or our reactive dog. Dirt road to the campsite isn’t made for sedans, but our Skoolie and Subaru made it through.

Great hosts and spacious private site on river. The only negative is the busy train line nearby with frequent trains and whistles throughout the night. Not a problem if you are a sound sleeper.

Such a beautiful spot! So convenient if you are traveling through. It is close to the highway but far enough from town that it was peaceful. The sunset was gorgeous and the river is beautiful and peaceful. I camped in late August when it was getting colder however if you want to get out of the wind, you can go sit down by the river. Roger was a great host. Communicated well. Took my booking day of. Showed me out to the site. As Roger has said there is some noise around from the highway and trains however the river noise muffles it some. I didn’t think it was a problem at all. I would stay again for sure!

We loved camping at Rogers place , he was a great host and it felt just like home . The fishing was great as well , we will definitely stay there again and will recommend to anyone looking for a spot.

First time hipcampers (we usually boondock on forest service roads in Washington State) but we decided on a whim to visit Montana without reservations anywhere . Roger is awesome, super friendly and helpful! His dog, Fly, was a huge hit with our kiddos as well. His place is amazing, loved the scenery and being away from everyone! The fishing on the Gallatin was fantastic. We loved watching the wildlife, trains and felt right at home with the occasional pew pews from the range across the river! Overall, 10/10 and next time we find ourselves in Montana, we'll definitely be calling Roger for a reservation!

Boondock on The Gallatin River

Roger is a terrific host. He allowed us to come check out ths site before we booked, and spent a generous amount of time showing us around. Site #1 is in close proximity to the Gallatin River, with plenty of good spots to fish from shore. The campsite offers a lot of privacy and is separated from Site #2, which is actually about 1/3 mile away. The sight is generally flat; however, given that there is not a graded RV spot, be sure to bring blocks or jacks to make adjustments. We had a great time and will definitely book again.
