Ever wanted to vacation on your own island? How about an island on one of the largest most beautiful lakes in the northwest, Flathead Lake! Wake up surrounded by the crystal clear waters of Flathead Lake. Let the outdoor fun begin with swimming, kayaking, grilling and whatever else your island heart desires! *WHAT: This A-frame island chalet provides you with a true camping experience. We provide our guests with drinking water + camping propane burners + kitchen essentials + grilling area + body/sanitizing wipes + a clean/stocked composting toilet *WHERE: Your own island in Somers Bay! Keep in mind you will be fully surrounded by water and will need to use a boat/kayak to get yourself back to shore. 🏝️☀️ *KITCHEN: This island chalet features indoor counter space for any grill prep. There is an outdoor propane grill and a propane camping stove for your cooking needs. Basic dinnerware (bowls, cups, mugs, plates) and utensils are provided. 🌽 🍉 *BEDROOM: This cozy A-Frame chalet is a studio-like set up. There are not doors to separate sleeping areas, but it's fully equipped with a queen sleeper sofa, a twin murphy bed and a twin mattress in the loft. 🛏️ *ACCESS: Guests will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to/from the island. Hosts can help arrange initial pick up/drop off at an additional cost. Please contact the host for local suggestions on boat rental companies. ⛵️ *ELECTRICITY: This chalet currently has solar electricity set up! The chalet is not wired yet, but will have a surge protector that will provide 5-6 plugs. 🔌 *Air Conditioning: This cozy chalet has an AC unit + two fans to keep it cool on the warm summer days! ❄️ *BATHROOM: Think camping! This cabin DOES NOT have running water, a flushable toilet, or a shower. A squeaky clean composting toilet is located very close to the cabin. 🚽 •• Portable showers are not allowed, per county regulations •• Lake - Swimming is allowed, bathing is not. •• We provide guests with biodegradable shower/body wipes 🧼 **** We understand this setup is not for everyone. We want you to be happy and enjoy your time. If you book with us and decide this is not the setup for you, we trust our review will not be degraded over this matter. 👌Guests will have full access to Flathead Lake! You'll be surrounded by the beautiful and clear lake water. ✨ *ACCESS: Guests will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to/from the island. Please contact the host for local suggestions on boat rental companies. ⛵️ There is a fire pit on the beach for your grilling, marshmallow roasting and chilling desires. We do not currenlty have Wifi, but the island has great service reception! The chalet DOES have A/C and two fans will be provided. The chalet does NOT have a shower or indoor toilet on site. We provide guests with biodegradable shower/body wipes. 🧼 A stocked and sanitized composting toilet is located right behind the chalet. Cooking/Food storage include: We do not have a refrigerator or microwave. We will have a propane BBQ grill, a Coleman 2 burner camp-stove, a tea kettle to boil water, a French press for coffee, and a XL hard cooler. We can also provide ice and firewood upon request. Water-crafts include: a few floats, 2 kayaks, and the water trampoline is scheduled to arrive the day before your stay. We will also provide 4 life jackets. Things we provide: - Coffee grounds - Sugar - Non-dairy Creamer - Plates/Bowl/Cups - Silverware - Grilling utensils - Kitchen Towels - Pot Holder - Coffee Mugs - Towels - Camp chairs - Lanterns - Headlamps - Bugspray
