We have both led lives that involved traipsing about the globe, bouncing continent to continent, but a few years ago we gave ourselves the opportunity to simplify and settle in (or, for Keith, to return to) the Ozarks. After enjoying non-commercial, owner-hosted properties in a few countries, we decided to open our doors to like/open-minded souls, to offer an escape, a place to ground and recharge. In just a few years, through our three offerings, we've hosted well over 1000 guests, sharing innumerable tales and countless bottles of wine. Hosting is just something we enjoy.

Unplug in a fully-equipped, high-end private peaceful escape for up to 4 of you, offering free firewood, s'mores, a light breakfast, private climate controlled bath with hot shower, towels, camping gear & so much more. This glamorous camping is perfect for beginners who want to swing into adventure without leaving life's comforts behind, or the experienced campers who want to avoid the crowds and hassles for a night under the stars. *PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE CONTACTING US OR BOOKING* It's essential for ensuring your stay meets your expectations. Four comfortable enclosed hammock tents swinging between the trees, completely surrounded by vegetation, forming a secluded pocket of privacy on 16 acres of wooded property. This unique hammping spot is outfitted with high-end equipment: waterproof tented hammocks, lounging hammocks, sleeping bags with Goretex covers and liners, self-inflating mattresses, pillows, blankets, camping chairs, a fire pit with cooking grill, camping kitchenware, towels, LED lamps, bug repellent, hot water bottles (in early spring, fall and winter), free firewood, books, games, rain ponchos, candles, safe & dry storage for your belongings and so much more. Bathroom, running water, a nook with electric tea pot, coffee maker (with free coffee and Benka's cinnamon coffee) and items for a light breakfast are provided in the nearest building (60 yards). Our house is on the property, as well as other buildings, but the hammpground is secluded so guests will have the run of their place without worrying about disturbing or being disturbed. There is great 4g phone reception at the hammpground, with Wi-Fi available near our house. Feel free to use the glider by our garden to surf. Visitors are also welcome to relax in our sunroom (next to the bath house), which serves as a nice escape from inclement weather and houses the shared refrigerator/freezer. We do offer additional services for a fee such as hot tub access and spa (European standards apply), professional massages, fitness, sound bath, educational courses, vow renewals or wedding services on the spot, pre-ordered birthday or anniversary surprises on arrival, happy puppy retreat package and more (the complete list with prices will be sent to you upon booking). These services are provided for the comfort and convenience of our guests, who are under no obligation to partake. To ensure no one ever goes hungry, we offer meal services as well. Meals must be ordered ahead of time, and are not exactly cheap as the price covers visiting various local farms, fetching organic ingredients, carefully preparing food and serving it warm to the doorstep or bed whenever you like. But we promise our meals won't only fill the stomachs; without exception, people remember them as some of their best culinary and social experiences. Meals range from Gourmet Picnic Basket, Country Breakfast/Brunch, Intimate Dinner (8-course), Slow Food Gourmet (12-course with wine pairings). Also offered are homemade ala carte foods such as sourdough bread, yogurt, kefir, jams, pâté, kombucha, etc. The Hammping is located in the woods, so guests will have the run of their place without worrying about disturbing or being disturbed. We live on the property, so you may see us occasionally working or socializing with our friends or other guests. And on occasion the 4-legged members of our pack may come visit you without notice. The Hammpground is in use all year, but bear in mind that temperature appropriate clothing is required. Don't show up in winter wearing shorts and expect to be comfortable as it won't happen. Long underwear, caps, gloves and warm jackets are mandatory. Our place is quiet, and we like to keep it that way, with lots of birds and animals. The property offers walking trails we welcome you to enjoy. Along the way, you'll find a table and chairs for a romantic picnic, resting benches, gliders, meditation spots, swings, a little library, and other relaxing surprises. There are many quiet country roads in the area and good trails for hiking, jogging, bicycling, plus curvy roads for motorcycling. The closest store is 1 mile away and recommended restaurants are 10-15 miles drive (we can give recommendations). No public transportation is available in the area. Shuttle services are offered for a fee.

The FULLY-EQUIPPED Tipi is tucked into the woods, yet mere minutes from the highway. Stars, the smell of a campfire (FREE FIREWOOD), crisp sheets, hot showers in a temperature-controlled bathhouse, candles and wine are just some of the bonuses assuring you won't be roughing it. The most unique private lodging in the area is filled with personal touches and serves as a great base for romantics, hikers, bikers, divers, bird watchers, winers and diners wanting to explore the natural beauty of the Ozarks. The Tipi is furnished with two queen beds, plus two additional twin cots available. Toiletries, towels, bedding and blankets (plus a queen electric blanket and heated mattress cover in winter) provided, as well as an assortment of fresh teas, coffees, gas grill with utensils, tableware, hammock, propane fireplace, campfire ring, books, games, local maps, brochures and travel tips. The Tipi is tucked away in the woods on a 16-acre property where secluded forests envelope the maintained grounds. You will have plenty of solitude and space. Yes, it's true, we supply free firewood (and a s'mores kit, too). Plenty of shaded parking available, with enough space for a trailer. Guests have designated parking, and a temperature-controlled bath house with mini kitchenette, only 100 yards away from the Tipi. My new PIECE OF EDEN

Keith and Benka have “piece of Eden” ! I went on a solo trip looking for some personal me self care time. I asked Keith for some options on hiking and waterfalls. He recommended the best options for me and my personal preferences. The Tipi was over the top beautiful and nestled just right within the woods. Private. Beds are very comfortable and have heaters in them for winter. The accessories for your stay are endless! ! They have remembered everything a traveler may forget. Cute grill that is private and sun room with a fridge to use. Bath house with very modern and clean !! Owls hooting at night reminding Mother Nature works even when sun is down. Morning meditation on my own personal deck! Perfection to start the day with. Benka’s cinnamon coffee was extra special and yummy to the daybreak of peace and quiet of the new day. Keith & Benka are world travelers that have lived and captured their experiences thru out the property with books and photography . They also support Tibetan children that are in exile with a donations collected. This is an exceptional couple with kindness to share for their travelers and people of all cultures! I will most certainly stay again and again! Deep gratitude for my new friends!

This was a super cool experience. We forgot so many little things and, being the amazing hosts they are, Benka and Keith had us covered. We brought along what little camping gear we had, but you can seriously show up dressed for the weather with a little food and a water bottle and you'd be set! They have thought of literally everything. We had such a good time. We even had a little rain overnight and the covers on the hammocks kept us dry, but just in case they even provide goretex sleeping bags. I really admire what these two have built, and I'll be returning in some fashion very soon! Thanks again Keith and Benka!

Amazing lodging in an amazing location! Keith and Benka were great hosts and have clearly thought of every little detail. You really don't need to bring anything but yourself for a great getaway. The tipi itself is very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Private bathroom is a short walk away and is fully stocked. We had a great time and would definitely visit again.
