"Great" As a good view not too far from good entertainment, has an open view good, clean fresh air. Justin really gos out of his way to make sure you are pleased with your stay. It stays kept up on and maintained very nice.

I just wanna say that Justin has been very helpful and understanding to my husband and I and are dog. He made it very easy to find where they was located. Very kind people and very beautiful spots to stay . I definitely will be staying and I recommend Justin and his land to stay at . Hands down.

Great tent spot. Justin even had some leftover wood for a nice little fire. Next time I'm passing through I will camp here. Justin was very nice, he even came out to made sure I had everything I needed.

Pulled in and was greeted by Justin, super nice guy and Very welcoming. Not far off the main road. Land was beautiful and it was very peaceful. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Justin is a great host. If you are passing through and need a place to stay, I recommend it. It is close to the MoKan drag strip, so if you're going to races, it would be a convenient stop. You can hear the strip from the site, but it did not bother us.

It was a real good place to park my rv at . The owner was very curtis. I have 33 foot trailer it fit just fine . The owner is continuing on doing more up grades to the property so it will get better as it goes .

Justin was a lovely host. He greeted me when I arrived even when I was running much later than I expected. The site was quiet and had the most amazing moon when I went to sleep and sunrise when I woke up. Can't recommend enough!

Justin was a amazing host. The tent sites have there own fire pit and the view is spectacular. Wake up in the morning listening to the birds. I would recommend the hill for anyone looking for a peace of heaven on the Missouri/Kansas state line.

Overall had an enjoyable experience. The host was responsive, kind and helpful. The amenities were accurately represented and very convenient. Everything worked as described. Unfortunately, this camp was very close to the occupied RV hookup sites. This detracted from the feeling of isolation, I had hoped for. This may not be an issue for other campers. Also, it's good to be aware that the property is very close to an active (read: noisy) set of train tracks.

Overall we had a decent time and Justin was kind and accommodating. However some things to note that were not in other reviews or the description- at least from what I saw:
There is a train that runs multiple throughout the day and and early morning. It’s close enough to where it’s loud and you can easily see it. The train provided a wake up call at 6 AM.
There are a couple of smaller Airbnb cabins on the property that are easily visible from where our tent site was. Thankfully no one else was there, or it would have felt more crowded or less private than we expected. A well placed tent can take care of some of this and hide things you may not want to look at a bunch.
Again, Justin was kind and accommodating. He even gave us some extra firewood at no charge. Yet we have mixed feelings about our experience.

Quiet Camping on the Prairie

I spent a weekend in a camper on The Hill and very much enjoyed my time. The open space, changing light, and hospitality was spot on. Justin even met me when I arrived (in the dark) and walked me out to the camping spot. There was a mowed path around the property to walk, wood for the fire, and I even enjoyed burgers on the grill with him and a friend (obviously this was optional).
I did have a bit of trouble locating the place as my gps took me a different location but I was able to call Justin and he gave me exact directions to his property.
I'd mark this one down as a return visit for sure.

Justin is a great host, and his land is a great spot to stop along the MO/KS border! I was met with kindness and options. Sunset was beautiful, with sights of deer and the sounds of birds and frogs as a sweet rhythm to aid your sleep. Don’t fret, just book it!

We stayed at the "Cozy Camper" for a night. Though the stay was short, it was a sweet memorable experience. The camper was so comfortable. It had everything you need - water, kitchen, showers, and toiletries. Justin was a perfect host. He welcomed us and helped with all the instructions to make sure our stay was perfect. The view was fantastic. We explored few places nearby. We are definitely going to be back.

It was nice to get away from our city for a bit. Justin was very helpful with any need we had. The site is next to a road but honestly it was still nice and secluded. But still close enough to a city (Pitsburgh, KS or Joplin, MO) to get anything desired. We will definitely be back.

My husband, our dog child, and I enjoyed two nights at The Hill in our T@B camper. Justin and Mike, the hosts, were helpful but gave us our privacy. We visited George Washington Carver NHS which is 35 miles from the Hill and enjoyed the trail and museum. Back at the Hill we enjoyed walking our pup on the gravel road, gazing at the beautiful stars and night sky, and listening to the birds. The Hill is a quiet retreat other than the great sounds of the occasional train passing through, which we loved. This is a nice place to experience the prairie as you head on to the next adventure. Thank you Justin and Mike.

Perfect location to visit kids in school, or Joplin or to take a break before exploring Route 66. Justin was there to welcome us, there when we had questions and attention to every detail was superb. Yet never imposed upon our privacy and solitude. Justin was the perfect host. We will be back again and he will always be our first choice when heading to this neck o the woods. Five out of five
