The property is beautiful. The sites are excellently maintained and even have some kitchen items in case you forgot something. The sites are very private and secluded, which is very nice. We woke up to horses at the fence each morning. We will definitely be coming back.

We absolutely loved this beautiful piece of property that we camped at. They have a very accommodating setup and we especially loved the provided fire wood. Next time we will be sure to utilize the grill. We'll be back soon!!!

We loved camping here. This is our second time coming and we are already trying to plan a trip back. We parked by the creek and it’s perfect for little kids! We had 9 kids in our group ages 8 and under. I love that the camping area is mostly fenced off so we can just let the kids run. And the creek is shallow and close so it’s perfect for the kids to play in. Rent the game trailer. It’s so much fun!

This camp site is one of the best in the Missouri area. Randy was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. He shared the backstory of the land and recommended a few spots to check out during our time there. They have 3 different options and we chose the pasture campsite, which we highly recommend, especially if you enjoy horses.
We added the game trailer on for our time there and would highly recommend. It came with so many different games to enjoy. They also had a lot of cooking supplies and utensils to use for preparing meals, which is another nice touch. If you are looking for a new place to camp, this is your sign to book at Sudden Valley Ranch. We will definitely be back.

Wow! We pulled in at 8pm after only booking 2 hours earlier and Randy was so welcoming. The property in southeast MO is absolutely gorgeous and so well kept. A beautiful remote 100+ acre farm with a few cabins and 3 very well kept and supplied campsites. So accommodating. A beautiful stream runs through the property soothing guests to sleep at night. Fire pit, well water (iykyk), the cleanest freshest smelling out house at each site.

We camped with two families - 4 adults and 7 kids total - and it was a great experience. The site was well appointed and probably the nicest outhouse experience ever! The additional cooking supplies were nice to have. It was great to have wood at the site, but would recommend bringing some of your own if it’s been wet as there’s no cover on the wood and it took a bit to get the fire started with the wet wood. If you plan on using the Weber charcoal grill (a great addition!), you may want to bring a chimney or matchlight charcoal.
We had a small issue with the coordinates using Google maps and were taking to a neighbors farm instead. If your maps function has you turning right on road from Schuetzenground Road, don’t do it! Keep on another 1/4 mile or so to the driveway.
We enjoyed our time and would definitely return!

I loved the tent camping at Randy and Melissa! This place has an amazing view, horses and all the equipment you need for an amazing stay! Randy was super welcoming and friendly we had an amazing family time!

We absolutely loved site#3 at SVR. Randy and Milissa were super kind and accommodating, especially when we needed a jump for one of our cars. The property was gorgeous and we really felt tucked away yet with the comforts of knowing the owners were nearby if we needed anything. There were horses, pigs, and chickens to see. The creek looked very inviting to play in on a warmer weekend. The locals who boarded their horses there were super kind to allow our kids (and some kids at heart) an opportunity to sit in the saddle. The outhouses were very clean and well maintained. We were also impressed with the supplies available to us in the cubbies on site. We will definitely be back!

Randy greeted us when we arrived and helped us find the best spot for my family. We enjoyed the immaculate pasture with horses so close. Listened to owls and coyotes through the night. I can’t wait to go back! Also, Randy’s a jeweler and I had to buy a beautiful ring as a reminder of our amazing stay.

The property is AMAZING!!! We stayed at “The Top of The Ridge” and it was a fantastic campsite.
When we arrived, the instructions to get to the site were very clear and easy. They also gave us info on fun things to do on the property!
The site itself was very clean with plenty of firewood. Some was already split, however I did quite a bit of splitting to leave some for the next campers (I recommend bringing an axe). All the fire making supplies such as lighters/matches and paper are inside the wood shed. Also in the wood shed is every cooking supply you may need (we brought our own). Having a campsite that supplies all of that if needed is amazing! It really makes camping easy and cost effective.
I give this a 10/10 experience and hope to come back soon!

Our experience this weekend exceeded our expectations. We were greeted on arrival and directed to a large, flat, fenced area far from the host's house with the clear, rocky Owl Creek right behind it. The fencing was to keep the horses out of the camp. There was a huge fire ring with free wood and a large, unique grill you could cook a large amount of food on. There was a picnic table, trash can and a cabinet with various amenities, if needed. The outhouse was really well done and tucked away from the main area. It had solar lighting for at night, a unique door handle, and was painted a nice green color with the traditional carved crescent moon. The first morning the horses came nearby in the misty pasture, making for a beautiful sight. The sky was full of stars and the night was full of nature sounds like owls. Highly recommended. We loved camping here. Such a wonderful time. The hosts were so welcoming and the property was beautiful and welcoming.
The campsite had everything you need - it was my first time taking my four children camping and while I had low expectations, the amenities helped make it a wonderful getaway. Don’t miss the creek, as well as the many animals on the property.

I love staying out at the ranch from time to time. Randy and Millisa are outstanding hosts. I would recommend of staying by oneself for a just some Quiet time or a great place to bring a date or for the kids!!

What a lovely place to unwind! The space was perfectly private and cozy for our family and two dogs (dogs that were first time campers!). Google maps took us right to the property with no issues. Our SUV and truck managed the pathway easily, and Randy was quick to greet us at our car. We would absolutely book a stay here again.

Shhhh don't tell anyone this place is the best! Located about an hour from downtown St Louis this place offers a great retreat to nature. Randy and Milissa have set up a very nice and private campground. They have thought of the little details so you can enjoy right away. Each campsite they offer is private and unique. I cant wait to go back!

We loved tent camping here! The hosts are very friendly. The shaded tent spot at this site is PERFECT. The creek is very clean and amazing for exploring and relaxing next to. The sink and outhouse were very convenient. The journal kept at the site is an awesome touch. The land is absolutely gorgeous. We visited the state park down the street and we were close enough to town to grab supplies as needed. The dog on the property we met (Molly) was super sweet and well mannered when she came to meet us, and the owners retrieved her quickly (although we were happy to hang out with her!) it is a serene, secluded site, exactly what we hoped for! We hope to come back often to get a night or two away from busy life. Thank you to Randy and Milissa for letting us hang out!!

Pasture and Creek at SVRanch
This was our first camping trip this summer and it truly was the best. I took 3 pre teen boys woth me and a dog. They all had an absolute blast. One of the nicest camp sites, the creek was absolutely amazing and thr land felt beautiful. I super appreciated the extra camping gear, and general atmosphere. We got the game cart and that was the most fun. All the little touches made it super nice. We will be back soon.
