Robert's Redneck Retreat is located on about 16 acres of pasture and 58 acres of forested land with a creek and trails running through it. Our property also adjoins 1200 acres of the Mark Twain National Forest, dotted with springs, trails, rivers, lakes, ponds and breathtaking views. We have three small cabins on the property that are spaced out for privacy. There are also potential for tent camp sites. My husband and I love nature, farming, gardening, and sharing time with like-minded individuals. Our dream is small scale hobby farming adjoined with cabin rentals, allowing trees to regrow in places that were once pasture in order to do our part to help maintain habitat for wild animals and plants. It is a balance that we love and it is our pleasure to share this property with you.  We are new here, but we are not new to the camping world; we have been helping campers have positive experiences since 2013 and already have over 170 positive reviews on Airbnb. We would love for Hip Campers to come experience our brand of cabin camping, with farm and forest experiences. A little history of the surrounding area: The Mark Twain National Forest was stripped by loggers in the 1800's and was purchased by the government as a preserve. Since then, it has regrown into hardwood forest, dotted with remnants of pine. It feels wild and untouched, despite knowing it's history. And within it, it harbors all manner of waterways, wildlife, plants, and fungi beyond your imagination. We love southern Missouri and hope you come catch a taste of the wildness that is the Forest. Disconnect, unplug, lose your cell signal, and come find yourself in the woods :)

Rustic cabin in the woods adjoining Mark Twain National Forrest, about 300 square feet. Cabin includes: table, chairs, cots (air beds available on request and bedding not provided), kitchenette (mini-fridge, oven, stove, dishes, coffee maker), sleeping loft, front and back porch, gravity-fed shower and sink from two 55-gallon water barrels, outhouse for restroom, picnic table with fire-pit and grill for fire pit. No cell phone signal. Bring bedding, toiletries, bug spray, and a love of nature! Lots of trails, springs, rivers, and lakes nearby to hike, kayak, canoe, fish, float, etc. WEEKLY RATE DISCOUNT AVAILABLE!!! 24% weekly rate discount (7 consecutive days). This is not an automated option, so please message asking for a weekly discount. PLEASE NOTE: November through February, we are in primitive mode which means no running water and heating with wood. We provide a 5-gallon cooler of well water with refills and correct sized wood is available for purchase.

Non-electric cabin/camping experience. Located on a 74 acre, mostly wooded farm adjoining Mark Twain National Forest. Creek on property, Fourche Lake next door, Current River 12 miles east, Eleven-point River 12 miles west. A lot more springs and trails nearby. Furnished with up to 4 cots, kitchen table and chairs, rocking chair, ice box, propane stove, gravity-fed shower and sink on porch. Charming 2-seater outhouse. Loft comfortably sleeps 2-4 people on cots/mats/air mattresses. Cots come with the rental, or bring your own air bed, or rent one (limited availability). Outdoor picnic table, mini-grill, and fire ring with grill cover. Some dishes, utensils, pots, pan, and a percolator for coffee. Highly recommend!!! It was such a relaxing time. The views are absolutely beautiful, expesicially around sunset! The cabin was nice and clean! Easy to find! Amazing and down to earth hosts!!! Getting to be surround by nature and farm animals was just so peaceful. I enjoyed not having cell service and truly getting to take a step back and just enjoy life and time with my soulmate! Absolutely recommend and will be returning!

A great secluded little cabin in the woods where our dogs could run around off leash. We stayed in the winter this time and the wood stove heat was very nice. Like taking a step back into time 100 years!

Great stay! From the cabin to the land and surrounding area, this place is beautiful recluse and creates a truly peaceful and enjoyable stay. I guarantee that you could ask for better hosts. I will most definitely be returning and very highly recommend a stay here. It was exactly what I was looking for. Truly awesome experience.

It was an amazing time! We hiked and walked through the creek nearby and went floating on the eleven point river. A wonderful place and we will definitely be back!!

It was as shown and as expected. No frills, except electric, coffee pot, cots, running water. We used it as a good spot to meet with our daughter and husband on their vacation, without taking them too far off their course of travel.

Loved our stay at the cabin! Robert and Kathy were very accommodating and made us feel at home. We went in November and was pretty cold during our stay (15 deg at night) - the wood stove kept us plenty warm. Cabin #2 had a stove, running water (warmer months), basic electrical, and a small fridge. Outhouse for bathroom accommodations. They provided cots which worked well. Plenty of space to roam, hike, and great stargazing. And, if you are looking for “off grid”, this is the spot - cell service is a mile away. You’ll see some wildlife too - armadillos, deer, rabbits, and plenty of coyotes howling at night. Enjoy!

Welcoming hosts, lots of friendly animals, tons of space to roam, and a clean cabin with opportunities for tent camping around the area. Only 10 miles from The beautiful blue water of Boze Mill Spring and a canoe rental for floating the Eleven Point river! Awesome trip!
