Pine Valley is located in the heart of the Mark Twain National Forest and sits just a short walk away from historic Dillard Mill. Book the entire Farm or stay in an Airstream or Cottage. Group rentals Welcome! Pine Valley is on 43 acres of beautiful green pasture and woodland. Take a hike on one of the trails around the property or go fishing or wading on the Huzzah Creek. Spend your evening roasting marshmallows around your private campfire. Guests will have access to the 40 acres of land surrounding them. There are two ponds on the premise. Enjoy the quarter-mile walk to the old Dillard Mill Store, displayed in museum fashion at the entrance of Dillard Mill State Historic Site. Tour the old grist mill in working form, fish for sunfish, smallmouth bass and largemouth bass at the Mill, and take memorable photos. Just across from our main entrance take the half-mile trail through Mark Twain National Forest and skip rocks on the Huzzah Creek! Ask us about access to our private gravel bar on the Huzzah. You will pass it, and the private parking, on Dillard Mill Rd on your drive into Pine Valley We may or may not be on the premise during individual rentals. If there are any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out. Other things to note While this space provides most utilities and amenities you'd find at your home, it is important to note it is still a camping-style getaway. We do our best to treat the area, but you will encounter insects. AT&T has limited cell phone reception in the area, Sprint is very spotty, and Verizon is pretty much unavailable for service. We provide the best free wifi available to help with communication back to the real world, but it is rather slow. The best wifi reception is near the General Store/Courtyard. We try and keep the area well maintained. You may see ATVs/tractors on our property and on the gravel road. Pets are welcome for an extra $50 per stay. Please note our dogs may be on the property. They are friendly and well-behaved, although sometimes curious. Other guests may have no-leash pets as well. Park right next to your glamper. Arrive anytime after 4pm, just give us an eta to know when to expect you. If your glamper is not ready upon your arrival, feel free to explore our farm, visit Dillard Mill or head down to the Huzzah while we make it ready for your stay. Self Check-In is always the norm for added privacy. We won't bother you except to wave or maybe say hello if you're out and about. Please feel free to approach us with questions, niceties, or needs.

Stay in a vintage 1970 Avion, cousin to the Airstream, within walking distance of Dillard Mill. We call our Avion, Sebastian. See its history below. Two clawfoot tubs await you for a relaxing hot bath or shower while absorbing the view and serenity of our farm. Enjoy your time on the private deck, fire up the grill, and finish the evening around your own campfire. Sleeps up to 4. For added privacy we offer self check-in. Pets, up to two, are welcome for an extra $50 per stay.  The space The Sebastian has a Queen Bed + 2 Twin Beds. The half bath has a flushing toilet and sink with hot water. The deck has two tub/showers for a private bath with a view of the skyline and stars. Sebastian's kitchen includes a sink with hot water, fridge, microwave, toaster oven, electric skillet, coffee maker along with dishes and utensils to help you enjoy your own home cooked meal. There is NO oven. The Sebastian is in the well kept pasture. The location is shared with an Airstream, but they are spaced generously to provide a private, secluded feel.  The Sebastian has a private deck with a view. Granite counter with bar stools and built in cutting board . The space has two AC units and electric space heater. We've included a TV with a small collection of DVDs for your entertainment. There is WiFi available on the property, but WiFi does NOT extend to the Sebastian. History This sleek 1970 Avion had quite the life before he settled here in the heart of the Mark Twain National Forest. In 2012, a husband and wife by the name of Billy and Anais Yeager created a film set out to capture the soul of surfing in the 1960s and 70s. Billy, an eccentric filmmaker, strived to recreate the spirit, smells, and soul of surfing southern Brevard County during his teenage years. He recalled surfers catching waves and hanging out, eating fruit from trees and sleeping on the beach of Sebastian Inlet State Park. The couple built a surf shack and spent three months filming and working out of Sebastian in Long Point Park, Florida. The end result was a 75-minute retro documentary appropriately titled, Sebastian Beach: One Fine Day, which showcased the surfing culture Billy experienced in his younger years. The film premiered at the New York Surf Film Festival, where it competed in the feature film category. The Sebastian was lucky enough to make it in the movie! The previous owners of our farm had a father who lived in Sebastian, Florida. When the Avion went on sale and the history of Sebastian was discovered, they knew they had to have it. The couple integrated the beach theme, but also left some of the original elements as Billy and Anais had it, like the orange spaghetti lamp and 8-track player. Guest access Guests will have access to the 40 acres of land surrounding them. If you venture past the gates, watch out for the cows! There are two ponds on the premise. Enjoy the quarter-mile walk to the old Dillard Mill Store, displayed in museum fashion at the entrance of Dillard Mill State Historic Site. Tour the old grist mill in working form, fish for sunfish, smallmouth bass and largemouth bass at the Mill, and take memorable photos. The space The Airstream is set away from the main house. The location is shared with another RV, but they are spaced generously to provide a private, secluded feel. Attached to the Airstream is a private deck with a view. Included on the deck is an outdoor claw foot tub/shower w/ hot water (no shower inside Airstream), BBQ grill, and bench/sitting area and outdoor dining table and two chairs. Inside the Airstream you'll find a Queen size bed, small kitchen, half bath and sitting area. The kitchenette includes a microwave, small fridge, toaster oven, electric skillet, coffee maker, and necessary kitchen and grilling amenities. The space has an AC unit and electric space heater. We've included a TV with a small collection of DVDs for your entertainment. There is WiFi available near the courtyard. Guest access Guests will have access to the 40 acres of land surrounding them. The space The Cozy Cottage is attached to the main house, but is separated by an external breezeway. You have your own private entrance and patio overlooking the courtyard and barn. Included on that patio is a propane BBQ grill and fire pit. Inside you'll find a full kitchen, washer/dryer, loft-style bedroom w/ full bed, premium futon sleeper, and bathroom w/ shower. In the living room you'll enjoy an electric fire place, 42' TV with DVDs, book collection, and sitting area. The space includes floorboard heaters and two window AC units. Guest access Guests will have access to the 40 acres of land surrounding them.  Enjoy the two miles of trails throughout the property. There are two ponds on the premises, bluegill and largemouth have been caught on the upper pond, but it is not stocked. Lower pond has snapping turtles and no fish. Enjoy the quarter-mile walk to the old Dillard Mill Store, displayed in museum fashion at the entrance of Dillard Mill State Historic Site where not only can you see an old grist mill in working form, you can fish their lake, take memorable photos, and maybe even stumble upon a wedding being held there. Just across from our main entrance take the half-mile trail through Mark Twain National Forest and skip rocks on the Huzzah Creek! Interaction with guests We may or may not be on the premise. If there are any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out. Other things to note Our Cozy Cottage provides most utilities and amenities you'd find at your home. If there is something you need when cooking in the kitchen please let us know. We love going to Pine Valley- peaceful, beautiful views, quiet and out of the way. Perfect for recharging, relaxing, sitting by the river or hiking. Our go to spot for when we really want to be in our special happy place!!!

Perfect retreat!

The Pine Valley airstream was magical. I think I was the only guest on the property during my two night stay. Felt magical to soak in the tub while overlooking the valley with the fall colors. It was an easy drive over to Council Lake for a trail run. Would definitely recommend this spot and rebook for myself!

Cozy Cottage with Private Patio
This was our second stay at Pine Valley. The first time we were in the Airstream and this time the Cozy Cottage! Each place has its own charm. The Cozy Cottage is great for those looking for extra amenities. We cook a lot so we brought all our stuff, but the cottage was fully stocked! They had everything we needed including oil and spices. The land itself is lovely. Beautiful sunsets, fireflies everywhere, and some great trails! It’s also a great home base for exploring the Mark Twain National Forest or Huzzah Creek. The trail to the creek on the property is well maintained and the creek spot is peaceful and private. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure our timid pup could escape the 4th of July fireworks and they checked in mid trip to make sure we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to book the Avion next time!

The secret is going to get out, this place is an absolute getaway for couples or families that kids / pets. The Airstream was amazing comfy and the dualing bathtubes on the built up porch were private and super relaxing. (we brought bath bombs because we saw them in the photos) Our dogs ran and had so much fun I think they are still sleeping. Jay and his family are just the nicest people as well. There is a state park with a nice small hike to see the old mill. Steelville is a short drive. And there is river access (with a good 4 wheel drive vehicle) We will def be back!

Cozy Cottage with Private Patio
This was our third trip to peaceful Pine Valley at Dillard Mill and had another great visit. We appreciate the comforts of the Cozy Cottage's full kitchen for preparing meals, grill, fire ring, hot showers, and comfy beds to sleep in after day trips to the area's awesome state parks in the nat'l forest. This time, we visited Johnson's Shut Ins State Park, and had an awesome time on a hot day sitting in waterfalls and deep pools of clear, clean water. Of course, we visited Huzzah Creek before we left. We were too early in the season to enjoy Council Bluff Lake Beach, but maybe next time!

we had a great 2 nights here, wish we would’ve stayed another, at least! the property was beautiful and very unique. there was 3 airstreams (the middle one supposedly only rents out for a big group) and a cabin. they had a general store where you could buy firewood, fire starter, bug spray, hammocks, tshirts/coasters and some other small things. we had little to no service (which we loved) but there is a “court yard” with tables/chairs, fire pit, grill which you could get good wifi at. i think a cabin & the other camper we’re booked but it was still very quiet & secluded, felt practically like we were the only ones on the property. i loved the vintage ambiance of the airstream, plus outdoor shower/bath was amazing! hoping to come back soon

We loved staying in The Sebastien. The views from the site were amazing and it was so quiet and peaceful. A perfect spot to get away from it all without giving up some of the essential comforts. Be sure to enjoy the outdoor shower!

Cozy Cottage with Private Patio
Just finished our second trip to Pine Valley and it was worth it. While you are there, go creek stomping in the nearby Huzzah and look at all of the cool rocks. If you're lucky, you might see box or painted turtles in the timber and along the creek. Drive 1/2 hour and go cool off at Council Bluff Lake beach, which has nice clean water and plenty of spots for a picnic. At the end of a long day out in the heat, we appreciated the AC, a full kitchen to make meals, warm showers, and real beds to sleep in at the Cozy Cottage to rest and restore for the next day's adventures.

What a gem!
Airstream with a Private Deck
My two critters and I spent the weekend at Pine Valley and it was a delight. From sunsets to sunrises, baths and showers, hiking and relaxing — I enjoyed it all. You can see the love and care the crew has put into this land. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Cozy Cottage with Private Patio
Cozy Cottage is a great name for this space. My partner and I visited for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and it was perfect. Cozy, inviting, clean and surrounded be the GORGEOUS Mark Twain National Forest. We wanted to keep things pretty chill so we opted to stay in and cook a bit, then go out and hike and curl up with a movie. The space provided the basics to make all of that easy.

Great 2nd stay in Sebastian! This time with outside tubs and showers with a great view. Also a little deck great for watching the rain move through the hills. Easy access to all kinds of outdoor exploring including a few trails from your front door. Fun little self checkout store with a few necessities if you forget something. Beautiful backdrops down the road at Dillard Mill. Can't wait to go back.

Just 2 hours from Saint Louis lies Heaven! Arriving just after 4:30pm, I was greeted by this adorable, and exceptionally clean Airstream! The surrounding deck, outside bath and shower are the show stoppers. Despite a day of heavy rains, my day was not lost; surrounded by the sound of rain on the metal roof, I witnessed the best in views that Missouri offers! Well maintained trails provided for an afternoon of hiking and across the road, a short hike to the Huzzah. Clear water as far as one can see provides for great swimming holes! This place is magic. I rebooked as soon as I got home. My new retreat.

We found a hidden gem. Photos don’t give it the justice it deserves. Then add the side by side bathtubs with a wonderful view and what more can you ask for. So peaceful, especially watching a thunderstorm roll in. Hosts were friendly and attentive to detail. Highly recommend you book this place. You won’t want to leave.

Beautiful property with a view. Extremely private and close to the water. We had a blast, so relaxing. We usually find new places to camp but we will revisit this place. The shower/bath on the porch was a bonus. Very much satisfied. Thanks so much.

Beautiful place! The airstream was clean, and had all the essentials we forgot to pack. The deck was well-maintained and the outdoor shower was a nice touch. The property is large, with beautiful views and hiking trails. Our city dogs absolutely loved being able to run around off the leash. There is another camping area a few yards from ours, but we still felt like we had our privacy and there were large curtains we could close if we wanted. We absolutely want to return!

Cozy Cottage with Private Patio
The Cozy Cottage was a wonderful little cottage to stay in for the weekend. We appreciated the comfortable beds, full kitchen, warm showers, fire pit, and even laundry facilities! The best part of our weekend was the short hike from the cottage through prairie and timber to the gorgeous, clear Huzzah Creek! The creek was perfect for creek stomping, rock hunting, and we even found some deeper holes for swimming in on a hot June day. The cottage is well located for day trip explorations to pristine lakes and trails in the Mark Twain Nat'l Forest. Perfect weekend getaway for nature lovers. We might have to come back sometime.

The Avion - Airstream Style w/ Deck
The owners were available and helpful when booking the reservation. The property was a beautiful, rustic, tranquil place to stay with pond fishing, hiking trails, nearby historic sites, & river floating within an hour. The Avion was quaint and comfortable 1960s camper for a maximum of 4 people. Beautiful views all around. We unfortunately arrived to full trash cans, the entry deck was unfinished & still under construction. A chop saw was left plugged in on the small private deck which I had to move and clean away the saw dust. The outdoor shower area on the front deck was unfinished also. An empty container of wood screws lie on the floor with the contents moved under the tubs. Shower heads had not yet been installed. Side walls were in place for privacy but only a half wall in front with no curtain, so we had to “rig” a curtain with bungee cords and a sheet to make do. I don’t feel like the Sebastian should have been rented until completed or we should have be informed of the construction.

My husband and I stayed at the Airstream with a Private Deck for 2 nights and 2 days. We had a great time! We took full advantage of the beautiful deck and the grill. The property was beautiful and the Airstream itself was immaculate. The outdoor tub and shower were a fun touch!

Peaceful Getaway / Gorgeous Views
Airstream with a Private Deck
We had such a nice stay at the Airstream. The view across the valley is absolutely stunning, and the scenery in the surrounding area is gorgeous (we very much enjoyed the drive to get here!) Everything was well stocked - Grill items like tongs, foil, seasonings, basic dishes, utensils, paper towels, etc. They provided ground coffee and some sweetener, but if you are picky like me and want real sugar, bring your own. They even had a few decks of cards and a puzzle for days you need a little more to do. A couple things to be aware of - and these are NOT complaints, just things you might want to know if you stay here: The bathtub is glorious, as is the outdoor shower. I wish I'd had more time to sit and soak. However, it is BARELY big enough for 2 adults. We tried. It was nice for a bit, but then the water starts to drain out and there's not enough hot water to refill it and keep it hot enough. So, if you're planning a romantic bubble bath with your significant other, don't get your hopes TOOOOO high. :) All that being said, we enjoyed the little time we used it. :) The trails around the property were wonderful, and we really enjoyed them. There are several very steep hills, though, and some areas are large, loose rocks that are a wee bit precarious. You also have to cross the creek a couple times. Granted, it stormed the night before, so the water was probably higher than normal, but the waterproof hiking boots were a good choice for this trail. The trails were also VERY well marked with laminated "you are here" maps at any point where the trail split in different directions. Super easy to read and follow. One other tip - As far as we could tell, there was no bathroom fan, nor did the window seem to open. (it's possible we missed something). Lack of ventilation can make the entire camper fill up with rather unpleasant odors. Our solution to this was to open the camper door, and use the fan from the closet (above the trash can) to blow the air out of the camper. It seemed to do the trick. (I wish I could insert the laughing/crying emojis here). Again - the above things are not complaints. They're just things that I think might be helpful to other people. We loved our stay. This was a mini honeymoon for us and it was pretty perfect. Very peaceful. Bed was comfortable. It was fun discovering all the little nooks and crannies they've turned into storage. There's even a lever on the back of the bathroom mirror that makes it pop out so you can see yourself more easily. I definitely recommend the Airstream for a quiet, relaxing getaway. Also, we had zero internet reception (Verizon) while in the area, and the lack of distraction was quite nice. :)

We enjoyed staying at The Sebastian! Beautiful property, relaxing and just what we were looking for. We walked the grounds, down to the creek and The Mill, we enjoyed the location. The temps are getting cold at night, so bring some extra blankets would be my tip to upcoming visitors. Can't wait to visit again :)

What a gem the Sebastian is! A perfect spot to just relax. A lovely area to explore. Hosts went beyond expectations and the sunsets were exquisite.

Jay and his family were very welcoming and The Sebastian was just as pictured! There is plenty of hiking around between the Park, Huzzah, and Mill just down the road. The stars (and milkyway!) were spectacular especially if you turn off all of the lights at your site. We'll be back!

Fun getaway at the Pine Valley
The Avion - Airstream Style w/ Deck
The two-night stay at the Sebastian was pleasant and fun! The RV was set up well ahead of our arrival and clean. The hot water supply and the lighting was superb. Jay, the host, was amicable and had been pretty accommodating with any requests. We did a campfire on the first night with the logs and firewood on the property, which were a bit damp, probably due to the rain the night before, but there was ample to use. The surrounding area is picturesque and serene. The hippy shower is exciting, although a working shower inside the Sebastian would have been cozier. Also, we were expecting (our mistake, not the host's) that the burners inside the RV are working but they are not. Jay mentioned the he is working on fixing and improving things, like a deck around the Sebastian. This would surely add to the value of the unit and anyone would happily rent it even at a higher price. Overall, a definite A+ experience.
