Exactly as described and expected. Rustic. Charming and quiet! Seemingly in the middle of nowhere…and we love that.

This cabin hidden in the hills of Missouri was a most excellent stay! Host was working in the yard when I arrived. Greeted me with all kindness. Explained the cabin layout, parking, etc. & the whole weekend was splendid! Had the cabin all to myself & that downstairs bed sucked me in. I could have did more for the weekend in & around the area but I actually enjoyed much peaceful rest more than anything. The host was excellent, the cabin was clean, just as pictured and well enjoyed. Host provided any & everything I may have needed. Definitely, I find myself back in the area, I’ll try & book this stay again. In the quiet country, near the Missouri River, tons of hiking/kayaking in & around, State Parks & trails. Only 35 minutes from the great college town of Columbia, GO TIGERS! Plenty of room for 3/4 residents in this small, quaint, quiet, country cabin! Loved it! :-)

Gorgeous area of Missouri and a lovely farm that John and his family take care of. The flowers around the cabin were in bloom and we enjoyed exploring the surrounding trails and towns.

Our goal was to unplug and spend time as a family for spring break and this was the perfect place for that. We loved our stay at this cabin! The homestead provided great scenery, there were plenty of roads to walk and view the farms and Missouri River.
The cabin was clean with bedding and towels provided. There was plenty of cookware and utensils. A single propane burner was available inside and there was a gas grill and fire pit outside. We enjoyed grilling and making s’mores and listening to all the beautiful birds and frogs. The rain on the metal roof was also very peaceful (to us anyway!).
Great hosts that were helpful and provided insights into the local area and their homestead. Really lovely people!

For anyone traveling by motorcycle, the last 3/4 miles in are gravel which is easily manageable when dry but which would test you when wet. Ride up and down 87 and 179 makes it all worth it though..

Little Cabin On The Farm
It was perfect! Kitchen had what we needed. There was firewood available for us to use and the beds were covered in cozy quilts. There was heat to keep us warm on a chilly night. Perfect for my son and I to have our yearly Mom-Kid getaway.

We had a wonderful time at the little cabin. It's well equipped, clean, and well stocked with firewood for the camp fire. Found the box of records under the bed, but couldn't wrangle the record player. The kitchen is stocked with silverware, cutlery and anything else you might have forgotten to bring. The shower works just fine. Others have reported a hot, short shower experience, but the tankless water heater works correctly. Just keep in mind that the hot is on the right and cold on the left and you'll be okay. We were a little surprised by the acorns falling on the metal roof, but that's probably to be expected in the fall...

Road in gravel, but level. Quaint, quiet cabin. Great woodsy outdoor area, chairs on deck, a firepit, picnic table. Minimal kitchen supplies. Works fine if ones prepared.

Lovely quaint and quiet get away for me and my preteen. There was a grand window with a pretty view. It was fun to watch the cows graze as we played board games. We were excited to have a camping experience with bathroom amenities and not expecting to have the bonus of air conditioning. Beds were cozy and location was super easy to find! Definitely recommend.

John’s place was very peaceful, beautiful and quiet. The cabin was rustic but comfortable and cool after a day driving in 100 degree heat. Very refreshing and inviting

Delightful newly constructed cabin with a lovely cedar scent inside. Peaceful, quiet, and comfy. I felt like I was staying at'The Little House on the Prairie' , but with the creature comforts of our current century. If you are a caffeine fiend, remember to bring your coffee maker! Lovely spot! Many Black Eyed Susans in bloom during our August stay. I really enjoyed the window view while sitting at the old style enamel table.

Beautiful site, looking out form the porch was very relaxing. I was also impressed by how nice the interior of this small cabin - comfortable and well-arranged. (One-night stay, as part of a long drive)

We loved this little cabin and the peaceful environment of the farm. It has everything you need for a summer weekend getaway- comfortable beds, a mini refrigerator, a kitchen, cooking supplies and even AC! The deck looks out into a little wooded area and a pasture and we saw so many different kinds of birds and insects. We were even visited by some friendly farm cats and dogs during our stay. John and his family are super welcoming and friendly. They brought us some fresh produce to enjoy with our dinner. We appreciated the great hospitality of this hipcamp!

Little Cabin On The Farm
We had a great time staying at John's cabin on the farm! The cabin was small but laid out nicely, and our family of five slept great. The boys loved the loft and all the wooded area right outside the door. The kitchen and bathroom were tiny but functional. John was so thoughtful and even brought over some farm-fresh vegetables to share!
It was a great place to stay for our outdoor-loving family!

My friend and I loved John's little cabin. It was the perfect quiet little getaway. John and his family were exceptionally kind and even shared some delicious produce from their garden. The space is on the smaller side, but we were able to move around, cook, eat and stretch out without feeling cramped. Two thumbs up!

It's a very nice little cabin on a secluded and quiet road. We only stayed two nights, but everything was quaint and peaceful. Waking in the morning to the sound of cows and donkeys was a blast. Took me back to when I was a kid living on the farm. The cabin was adorable, such a compact and cute little abode. Thank you for providing such a wonderful space at such a reasonable price.

Cute little cabin that worked great as an alternative to camping in the heat and rain! We normally camp but decided to beat the heat and rain with this little cabin and it was totally worth it. We brought our camping supplies along, so we were able to use our own grill but there is one there to use, along with many kitchen supplies. The shower was a bit cold, but that could have been user error and we managed. (The shower is a bonus when you usually camp, even cold is welcome.) Our phone connections were not great, which actually forced my teenager to talk. 🙂 Honestly, it was quiet, peaceful, cool when we needed it, and a great roof over our head during a storm! We would totally stay there again!

Exactly like the pictures—tiny but has everything you need. Quiet and comfortable retreat. Fresh flowers on the table, propane stove & tiny refrigerator, utensils & pots/pans, cows meandering in the field below the tiny side deck. The window AC was a necessity in the summer heat wave. Comfortable bed with extra pillows. So relaxing.

I loved staying in the little cabin. It was clean and cozy. The land was beautiful and quiet. It was a bit off the beaten path but it was so worth it. Much better than a hotel in town. Highly recommend!
