Welcome to Howler--the Midwest's Premier Mountain Bike Park! Hospitality means everything to us and we would be honored to have you as a guest on our downhill trails or a guest to the Ozark Mountains looking for a great place to stay--or both! We think we've got some surprises in store for you when you get here. You'll find us located just off Highway 65 in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. We're seven minutes from Branson, one of the busiest tourist destinations in the Midwest, but take the five-minute ride or walk down to Base Camp and you'll feel miles away from it all. Howler is imagined, designed, and maintained by riders who love our unique terrain and wanted to pull the best from it. Our trails are built with all skill levels in mind with a clear goal of rider progression. But Howler Bike Park Stays isn't just for riders! We've got all kinds of things to do for riders and non-riders alike! Start your day in Base Camp, the hub of activity at Howler. If you need a caffeine kick to get you started, we've got you covered with a specialty coffee drink, blended, or smoothie at Howler Coffee Shop! And, Chef Dustin is now serving breakfast with three delicious options to power you up for your day! Around noon and throughout the day, you can enjoy Chef's insanely-delicious food at the Growl Grill. Stop in the Welcome Center for bike passes, Howler merch, and bike gear. Are you shredding with us and need a new tube or tire change? We have got you taken care of in Howler Bike Co. next to the Welcome Center. We have beer and wine available at the Growl Grill, and you’re welcome to take your purchases to your tent to enjoy! New in Spring 2023, is our Skills Park and our Children's Play Area-complete with a mini pump track for Stryders or small bikes--and a beautiful cedar swing set! We also have a mile round trip Hiking Trail through the woods where you can see glimpses of riders shredding the mountain trails. Feel like a break at the top of the hike? We've got a picnic table so you can enjoy the scenery and eat some mouth-watering food from the Growl Grill! We also have our all-new bathrooms and showers, complete with shampoo/body wash and hair dryers. And you can keep all your necessary items near you while you ride with our all-new lockers. They're free and you only need to enter a four-digit code of your choosing to use them.

We don't want to oversell this--this is literally a spot in the Howler Bike Park Parking Lot--but you are welcome to stay with us! These spots are not exclusive to our riders, BUT they are probably best suited for people riding at Howler. Upon your arrival, we ask that you call the number on our website, and we will meet you in the Parking Lot. Depending on how busy the Park is that day, we will determine where you can park your camper. You must check in before 7 pm! From the Parking Lot, you are just a couple of yards from the top of Howler Pass. Base Camp, the restroom/shower facility, the Welcome Center, The Growl Grill, the Skills Area, the Children's Play Area, and Howler Coffee are just under 1000 ft. down Howler Pass. We say it is about a 5-minute walk if you are moving at a moderate pace. Howler Pass is well-lit, with dusk to dawn lamp posts along the entire path, and the restroom/shower facility is easy to spot at night. We cannot transport your bike, but if you are riding with us at Howler and need something from your vehicle in the Parking Lot, we are happy to shuttle you back and forth.

We even have plenty of room to add one or two of our comfy twin-sized cots if you wish! Glamping Tent 1 has one queen-size bed, two bedside tables, and two lamps with USB ports. We also have a table and two chairs for your convenience. Our glamping tents are also outfitted with a mesh-covered zippered entrance for a lovely breeze and a split unit for air conditioning and heating. Our restroom facility with showers, shampoo/body wash, and hair dryers are located just across the footbridge toward Base Camp. Upon your arrival, call the Howler phone, and we will meet you at your vehicle in the parking lot in our side-by-side. We will take you and your things right to your tent and help you get all settled in. If you're riding with us, we can get you checked in and take care of any rental equipment you might need. We are more than happy to shuttle you back to your car to get your bikes. You will also be given a code to the electric gate so you can come and go after Park hours. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, you can enjoy our amenities in Base Camp, the hub of activity at Howler! Start your morning with a pick-me-up from Howler Coffee Shop in the Welcome Center. If you like to experience the great outdoors in the comfortable and cozy indoors, then the Howler Hideout Apartment is the perfect option! Hiding in plain sight above the bathrooms and showers in Base Camp is a private 700-square-foot apartment that includes a family room, small kitchenette, kitchen table with four chairs, bathroom with shower, large master bedroom with king-size bed, washer and dryer, luggage racks and plenty of space for seating and storage. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, air fryer, coffee maker, and toaster. But we've got more in store for you with your very own parking space right next to the Hideout inside of Base Camp! And your coffee is on us every morning from Howler Coffee! Upon your arrival, please call the Howler phone so we can meet you in the Parking Lot and escort you to your Parking Spot beside Howler Hideout. It is imperative we do this as we have riders cross the road you will drive down to Base Camp. Welcome to the Bunkhouse, our newest glamping tent complete with four full-size bunk beds, to comfortably sleep eight adults--or even up to 16 people for a cozy experience! Amazing! Even if you don’t bike!

I had read all the great reviews and was STILL blown away by this place! John and Jennifer made us feel right at home immediately - even for two people that don’t mountain bike! We were just looking for a place to camp close to Branson for our son’s baseball tournament and stumbled across Howler. The whole property is well thought out, very clean and clearly loved. It is so evident the owners have so much joy in what they do and they have truly built something special here! As far as the campsite itself, it was nestled away with a fair amount of privacy and quite shaded with plenty of room to spread out. As the description states, it is a short walk both from where you park to your camp site and from the camp site to the bathrooms. Although it is short, it is a bit steep, so just be prepared for that! Jennifer has coffee for us in the morning to start the day off right! And we were lucky enough to stumble upon this on a night when they had live music to celebrate their 3 year anniversary. It was so fun to watch some kids in the skills park while sitting on the patio, listening to music and enjoying a Howler burger from the Growl Grill (seriously soooo delicious!) I cannot say enough good things about this place - HIGHLY reconfirm bikers and non-bikers alike!

Glamping Tent 1 (Queen Bed)

The hosts Jen John and Max were so friendly and welcoming! They are dedicated to making sure our stay was fabulous. The glamping tent was spacious and the bed/ pillows were so comfortable we slept so well after a day of riding the awesome trails. The food at the onsite food truck is amazing. Dustin does an excellent job of preparing delicious meals. We will definitely return!

The tent spot was in an elevated platform, nice and level, private in the woods, with a picnic table and fire pit. The bathroom/ showers were a 5 minute walk, and very clean and nice! Coffee shop opens in the morning, and riding the bike park is a blast!

I cannot recommend Howler Bike Park enough. We aren’t even bikers! Since it is a walk in site they helped us get our gear to our site-which was so very appreciated! Coffee was free in the morning at the coffee shop and the burgers….worth the trip alone! Everyone was kind and incredibly accommodating. There was even live music on Saturday night. We will be back!

If you don’t decided to stay here and/or ride here then you are dumb. Howler couldn’t be run by nicer people. The design is thoughtful. Everything is incredibly clean. The atmosphere is awesome. The trails are well thought out, greens to double blacks everyone has something they can ride. The food is stellar… (literally ate possibly the best hamburger of my life there). The glamping set up is so comfortable and has such quick access to the amenities. Jen and her husband John, might be the nicest people we have ever met. What they have done here is really special. Book it.

Best public showers on the planet too felt like a Buc-ee's experience 😉👍 The yurts are so comfortable and with the heat and air option to get out of the elements for the night helps us to stay 2 days and ride👍

Howler bike park is the best place on earth, 2nd visit from 8+ hours away after just finding out about it 6 months ago and we’ll keep going back until we can’t. The crew is amazing, amenities are amazing(seriously we travel a lot, and these are the best bathrooms/showers we’ve ever seen camping) food and coffee and redbull slushies are amazing, watched Hayden do a backflip right at base camp. Max, John, Jen and the whole crew make you feel like family. Had some bad storms roll through close by and you could just tell they were concerned and cared about our safety and having a good time. Seriously cannot explain how much we love this place and the people that make it what it is.

Where do I start with howler bike park?! It's so awesome and the people are so friendly. Camping is great with the platform primitive camping sites with a picnic table and fire pit! The only thing missing would be the platform springs tie downs for tents! Other then that, this place is a 10/10!

Loved camping at Howler and am definitely planning to visit again! All in all, it was a great value and fit my needs well. Bathrooms were clean and tidy and the parking lot spot I was allowed to choose worked well for me. Unfortunately I was camping on a day when the Grill was closed but the entire Base Camp area looked super cool and like a fun place to hang out and socialize. A couple quick notes for anyone else camping in the parking lot: - They left the parking lot lights on for me which was very appreciated while I was setting up and cooking myself some dinner, plus it helped me in feeling a bit more secure as a solo camper. However, it was a bit bright when I was sleeping. Black out window covers or a face mask might be a good idea if you are sensitive to light when sleeping. - Road noise from the interstate was pretty apparent through the night, especially with engine braking from big trucks going down the hill on either side of the valley. Might be worth it to bring ear plugs or run a white noise machine if noises bother you. I’ll be looking forward to my next visit and definitely plan to bring my bike with me!

The apartment was amazing. Comfortable, quiet, warm, and cozy. The in-unit washing machines make preparing for day two+ a breeze. Luxurious soaps, appliances, and materials made it feel like a home. Jen and John were excellent hosts, I liked them so much I’d open my own doors to them. Such wonderful people!

Camping at Howler Bike Park was amazing! Everything from booking to set up was a complete breeze, Howler staff was very easy to connect with before our trip, and they gave us great instructions to find camp without them since we were showing up after midnight. Site platforms were very well built and marked making finding and setting up in the dark a breeze. Having a perfectly level and solid platform may have made it sooo nice for tents. Bathrooms and showers are about a 3-5 minute walk, or 1 minute bike ride downhill, and were IMMACULATE. Nicest bathrooms I’ve ever seen while camping. Beyond camping, Howler Bike Park was more than any of us could have ever expected. The minute we walked into base camp we were greeted by friendly faces (staff and patrons, everyone is in a great mood there!!) and you could just tell the staff love and enjoy what they do. The trails were so well built and maintained, all 4 of us agreed it’s the most fun we’ve ever had and the hardest we’ve ever pushed our limits on bikes. TACO CAT IS AMAZING. Almost forgot, the food and coffee!! Coffee was great, way better than Starbucks or w.e. Had both the Fueled and Salty & Lit both amazing! Max is the best barista around! The food. Howler burger was so dank, perfect amount of heat, almost had me sweating in 50 degrees. And the Chili! Do yall sell that by the gallon? Ima need more ASAP. It’s only been a day and we’re already trying to figure out when we can get back. Howler is the place to go for biking

Summer camp for mountain biking. Howler bike park is where it’s at. Camping feels like you’re in an Ewok Village with super cozy tents for a family of 4. The owners gave us a personal tour and made us fancy coffees in the morning. The Growler Grill has great food. If you are an early morning coffee drinker you should bring your own setup because the coffee shop doesn’t open until 10, but it is worth the wait. Also the bike trails are rad. We rode a whole day in the rain and it still didn’t dampen our spirits. Every employee was super friendly making us feel like we were part of the family.

I can't speak high enough praises about Howlers Park and the staff! Everyone is always welcoming, the park well maintained, the variety of paths meets all levels of riding, and the food is phenomenal- the howler burger is to die for! This is one of our favorite places to vacation. The camp sites are clean, wood was already stocked for us. This will definitely be an annual or not biannual travel destination for us. Look forward to our next adventure!

I'm hesitant to draw too much attention to this place, as I think it's destined to be recognized as one of Missouri's best hidden gems. But the owners deserve all the praise for creating something truly special. This isn't just a mountain biking retreat. The owners, entire staff, the chef, and cooking team have created a vibe that's hard to describe. The people who keep this place running genuinely care about their work AND the guests they welcome, and it shows. The mountain biking here speaks for itself in many ways. I'm not an experienced downhill rider—my son is. To his credit, he discovered this place. Although I was initially unsure, I booked a glamping tent for his birthday, setting up a father-son weekend full of what he loves: tearing up the trails on his bike. The trails, scenery, and technical aspects of the downhill rides are second to none. But the real magic of this place is the service. I was absolutely blown away by the level of care and attention. I'd come back here even if I didn’t ride. We didn’t want to leave. Get their honey hot/cold latte in the morning, pick up some awesome merch, relax with a beer by the fire, hit the trails, meet some wonderful people, unplug in the incredible accommodations, and make unforgettable memories with the ones you love. My helmet is off now—and my hat’s off to them as well! Thank you all!!!

This is the place to visit if you love mountain biking, comfy accommodations and nice people! My family had a wonderful experience staying at the Howler Hideout apartment. Trails for all skill levels, great coffee and food and fun Halloween events! Jen was an absolutely wonderful host and we will definitely visit again!

Stayed at primitive site 5. The site was well equipped but be prepared that it is on a slope so standing sitting could be a chore. We wasn’t aware that to get to the camp that you will need to pack in your stuff which is about 50 yards in. We are more used to using our truck at a part of our camping experience. Outside of that the restrooms are spot on and some of the best we have seen.
