My concrete pillar mailbox has our address on it, it is lit up at night and very easy to see on the edge of Dietrich Rd. Six level acres in western St. Charles County. Typical evening and night is very quiet. I have approximately 500’ of frontage on Indian Camp Creek with access to a private and secluded gravel bar. Kayaking activities are available without shuttle service. Indian Camp Creek County Park is less than 4 miles away offering mountain biking trails, hiking trails, equestrian trails, picnic pavilions, and Frisbee golf. Incline Village Golf Course is less than 1/2 mile away. Cedar Lake Winery is about a 15 minute drive. Overnight travel stop with doggies

Dennis was there to greet us and assist with backing in and plugging up. It was a great spot for a night or a few nights. We enjoyed the creek/brook right along the property. The wifi worked well. He cuts a path along the property that you can take a walk on and take your dogs. We would stay again when passing through.

Prefect quite getaway. Beautiful place and Dennis is a great individual and a wealth of knowledge for newbie campers like us. Five star experience and would highly recommend!!!

Dennis was awesome!! He met us outside, made sure we were comfortable, and helped us figure our parking for our (large) vehicles. He was very kind and accommodating, and the site was clean, quiet and perfect for us and our two dogs. Would recommend for sure!

Quiet Camping Spot Convenient to 70

We had a great time camping at Explorer Valley. It was just for one night on a road trip from Colorado to Ohio, but it was the perfect spot to land. It was convenient to I-70, but was far away from all of the road noise. Dennis was there to meet us and help us park and get plugged in. We enjoyed walking around the mowed path in the evening and had a restful night there.

50 amp service & city water is available no sewer but we just dumped for free at Loves on 370 on the way home. It was very quiet & peaceful. a wonderful relaxing space. Dennis the owner was polite cordial & a treat to BS with (& only lives there part time). our pad was 1' clean gravel & well maintained. the view was a large open field which was well cut and over to the left a hayfield all with a tall treeline in the distance. there's a creek 10' into the treeline which meant the ol' lady & kiddos got to play in the water with pool floats while I worked. the bank is steep so no flood worries (rained heavy 1st day there & 4 days prior). He's got wifi & it worked very well which is great because there's no cell service! a wonderful site that we'll use again because he's only 40 minutes west from our STL County residence (I-70 & exit 203 Highway T/W) & 10 minutes to the very popular Cedar Lakes Winery! 10 minutes from his quiet slice of heaven to the bustling Wentzville Crossing strip which has Target Walmart Lowes Home Depot Walgreens etc etc in anythingis needed. we loved the Mexican restaurant in Flint Hill MO. GREAT food at reasonable pricing wiyh a nice outdoor patio.

While visiting family in St Louis, we used Explorer Valley as a home base. We recommend Dennis and this location. Very quiet and clean.

Second time staying at Explorer Valley. Ran into some challenges on the road and when I arrived Dennis was incredibly helpful. A great stop-over and not near the highway.

Great communication and helped me back in! A quiet area that is perfect for a few days of recharge. Verizon works OK, ATT can be spotty but the host provides wi-fi that is around 20 Mbps speed so it's possible to work remotely or stream videos. Approximately 10 minutes away from a Dollar General that has everything you need. Wal-Mart and all the other stores are 15 minutes away. The back roads can be twisty but I was able to navigate with my truck and 5th wheel. Go slow and you'll be fine.

Dennis was easy to communicate with, flexible with our arrival time, and very helpful in getting us settled when we arrived. The property is small and comfortable. The grassy site by the water was very nice, and a firepit and wood were available for our use. It is worth noting that to be connected to electric, we would have been away from the water on a gravel surface next to a building.

The property is absolutely beautiful. Serene and quiet. The hosts recommended a local diner ‘Sadies’ that we really enjoyed.The hosts could not have been nicer. Easy access to this HipCamp off the Interstate.

The property is clean and pretty quiet. We could hear a bit of music coming from somewhere, but it wasn’t enough to disturb us or keep us from going back. It’s close to city amenities, so that could appeal to a lot of people.

Great secluded spot for trailers

This was a great location close to our event in STL. It let us take our camper out during prime camping season without all the neighbors at SPs. Dennis' property was well kept, and the amenities were just as listed. He met us upon arrival, was very welcoming and provided great tips in getting settled in for our stay. We'd be excited to stay here again.
