D'Ranch at Clearwater is a small, 40 acre hobby farm located on the north side of the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri. What started as a simple love of backyard chickens has now become a dream farm for Tracey Durant and her husband Theodore. Nestled in the valley between two forest covered hillsides, and running adjacent to Clearwater Creek on the east and the lake on the south, D'Ranch could not have been a more perfect location for the Durants to plant their roots and get their feet wet. While they continue their love of backyard chickens with their small egg and hatchery operation know as HeebyJeeby Chickens, they have expanded their interests to an array of friendly farm animals including horses, cows, pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, and an occasional turkey or two.

Creek Site 4 is a quiet, private site nestled in the trees next to the creek. Not a site for large hard side campers, but ideal for pop ups and tents. The location of this site gives you the feeling of being in the wilderness, while only a hundred yards from the main road. Perfect for someone looking for peace and quiet! Lake View Site #4 is cozy and flat, nestled under large Sycamore trees with easy access to the dock, water toys, and the lake. This site sits next to an overflow creek that boasts small fish, turtles and frogs. Nice views of the cove and wildlife. This is also near where the lake meets the creek and the White Bass spawn in the spring!

Creek Site 3 is a gorgeous site nestled in a grove of mature trees directly beside the creek. It is a lower elevation site, so will not be available if spring flooding is in the forecast. Beautiful little cabin with A/C right on the water. NOTE: This cabin is still considered primitive with no running water. Toilet is located outside and no shower. A wash basin is provided in the cabin. Cabin guests have access to kayaks, and paddle boat to explore the lake. Guests can interact with farm animals, hike the creek and forests, and fish for catfish in the cove. This is the perfect weekend getaway for families, couples, or singles wanting some quiet time. Most sight-seeing adventures are within a 45-55 minute drive including Ha Ha Tonka, Osage Beach, and Jacob's Cave.

2nd stay! We had such a wonderful time! There are other campers on site, but this location still felt cozy and secluded. Our hosts were wonderful as always, we will come back.

I think it speaks for itself that I have booked another stay on this property a month after my first time staying. I had a great time here with a friend on a fishing weekend and decided to book memorial weekend with my family!

My kids didn't want to leave! They loved seeing all the animals but took a special liking to the two dogs, Ellie and Harley. We got a tour of the property on the four-wheeler, took the canoe out, had a fire, and enjoyed the cool weather and sounds of the roosters in the morning. We'd definitely love to return sometime. Great location and awesome hosts!

Tracey and her husband were more than accommodating for our trip. We had a great time camping out on there land. The camp sight was great we were right next to a creek which flowed in to the lake. We saw a bunch of deer walking up and down the creek. The farm is also great lots of friendly animals. I would definitely stay again

We setup here as a base camp for a Father Daughter hunt as we hunted a nearby property. Tracey and her Husband were awesome and even let the girls milk a cow. The farm animals are well taken care of and such an enjoyment for the girls to interactive with. The dogs were a huge hit too and love to play fetch. The setting is beautiful overlooking a small lake. Thank you again for your hospitality.

This was our 2nd year we've come down for our anniversary getaway. So peaceful! She has lots of animals to enjoy as well! Great host! We had a nice relaxing time. :)

The views are fantastic. The camping zone is grass covered and flat, right along side the water. The hospitality from the hosts is exceptional and we always feel very welcome. The animals are awesome. You'd be hard pressed to find a better spot in the state.

We loved this place so much, we had the best night of our long road trip at D’Ranch at Clearwater! Tracey was so kind and hospitable to us, we felt right at home. We loved meeting all of her very happy animals and enjoying the beautiful land. There is something for everyone at this hipcamp, we stayed in the no electric cabin and were cozier than in a hotel. Everything is so clean and comfy you will love it here.

Very relaxing location and friendly hosts. The dogs are fun to play stick toss with. Kayaks worked great for fishing. I stayed in Bear cabin on this trip and it was very comfortable. I will stay here again. There is WiFi at the cabins!! Tracy responds fast with messages.

Oh my gosh, nothing negative whatsoever. I stayed in the cabin on the water with electricity and it was exactly what I needed. Tracey was phenomenal and gracious; gave me a tour of the farm and all of her furry tribe, as well as was accommodating with small items I had forgotten. I brought my own paddle board and the area her farm is in is perfect to just tinker around and relax. The grounds itself is gorgeous, so much greenery, so many different types of animals, and just all around serene. I will definitely be back!

What's not to love about this place?! The farm animals are a delight to be around (ask for the farm tour for a "meet and greet" with the animals!) The property is well-maintained, and the cove gives direct access to the lake via paddle boat, kayak or fishing boat. Tracey and Ted are super helpful if you need anything - I forgot contact sol'n and they provided some! The Saturday night bonfires are a fun way to wind down the evening and get to know the hosts and other guests. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in nature.

What a wonderful site and equally fantastic host. My only regret is that we didn't have more time. We had so much fun playing with Tracey's aweaome dogs who hung out with us like they were our own. Be prepared to play A LOT of fetch however. Elly was relentlessly bringing us sticks... in a very good way. My daughter was looking forward to petting all the animals, but ended up not feeling well. Tracey took her own time to walk her horse, Blaze down to our campsite to meet us. It was such an amazing gesture and greatly appreciated. I hope to return as soon as possible. Thank you Tracey!

From the moment my wife and I arrived on the farm we knew we were in for something special. The hosts are incredible and there were so many friendly and interesting animals to see and play with. The pigs from New Zealand were hilarious. Our particular camping spot was quite large and nestled into the trees near the water. The views in all directions were lovely and the provided firewood was a very nice touch. Can't wait to come back here!

First time trying out hip camp and have to say it was a wonderful experience. Tracey was an amazing host. The land is gorgeous and very tranquil. The animals are so friendly and loved to interact. Definitely want to visit again soon.

This was an awesome camping area, with even better owners. We were 210 miles from home with a busy schedule, so we didn’t get to spend as much time there as we wanted to. We are definitely going to be back at some point with more time to camp. I couldn’t believe how well the WiFi worked…. It made checking in with the wife possible without cell service. Firewood was right there, ready to go… everything was great.

Tracey was very friendly and helpful. She and her husband drove a 4x4 over to our campsite and showed us all the amenities. We loved petting all the farm animals. The campsite was beautiful and by the edge of the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay and Tracey and Ted were very hospitable, kind, and checked on my son and I. They really made us feel at home and kayaking was so much fun. All of the wonderful animals in the farm area are adorable!! You will LOVE this place!
