Great place. Dogs not having to be on a leash and able to run around was awesome. Lots of firewood on the property. Would recommend.

Jon, keeps up the property extremely well. Well groomed, scenic spots, and pretty level.
Coming in is a little ruff on the dirt road, but trust me it's worth it!!
Host, is extremely accommodating generous person. We enjoyed hanging out, and a fabulous friendship has erupted!!
We will most definitely be back and hope Jon will also visit us sometime

We loved tent camping so much on Jon's land, we stayed twice! Super peaceful. Absolutely loved all the lighting bugs at night.

The campsite was great! Everything as promised. My concern was the unmarked road (Vickers) that went into the cornfield. There needs to be a sign you are in the right place. And that road was in rough shape. There were mud puddles deep enough to hit the running boards and longer than the truck. It was narrow in spots causing us to brush up against trees. A head's up would have been helpful. We did enjoy our stay, you were very kind to talk to us (several times) when we got turned around even though the GPS coordinates were correct. Thanks again for everything.

Really beautiful, lush campground with tall trees and tons of different birds. I was only there one night but really enjoyed trying to identify which birds I was hearing.
Jon was super thoughtful and is definitely more interested in the safety and comfort of his guests than he is in collecting a fee. I would definitely stay there again.

I loved this canopied area near the river! Many spots to choose from and numerous fire pits. It was a one night stop while traveling west, but I do look forward to returning to spend a few days next time

I liked being here so much that I ended up extending my stay which I will probably do again. This has to be one of the best places here on this site that I have stayed at. The host, Jon, has been very accommodating and available at all times, even checking up on me when all the storms rolled through this area the past couple of weeks.
The facility itself is awesome. It is nice and quiet and comfortable with electric hookups and water and even a camp kitchen which is a very nice touch. I will definitely be staying here again! 👍😁

This place felt very secluded. You can hear the interstate from the sites, but it’s still very peaceful and beautiful. Unfortunately, didn’t see in alligators. Nice road to walk the dogs on. It was a little bumpy and muddy, but very easy to navigate. Close to the river, and a lot of greenery.

Jon was a great host. His place was very nice secluded right on the river, it was just what I was looking for. He even had power with an extension cord to top off my power station. There was a nice level spot to park my van. I arrived after a heavy rain storm so the road took a little finesse to get back to the campsite. But it was ok for me. I will return hopefully to stay longer.

The campground was very spacious, and I thought it neat that he had an outdoor camp kitchen set up complete with dishes. It was quiet, and the electricity worked great. Just FYI, the narrow, winding road getting in can be rough. And when it rains, there are large mud puddles, some of which reach across the road. Even after rain, these puddles are not soggy, and the ground is very solid. A two-wheel drive vehicle can manage the road. We stayed there twice about a week apart. Would highly recommend.

I think camp leatherneck was a great spot. Lots of room, power, water, some tables and shelters prebuilt. My group and I really enjoyed the spot. Definitely will be back!
