Basecamp is located on approximately 3.5 acres. Foster Creek, a year-round creek with gently flowing water and expansive sandbars, sits down a shaded walking path only steps from the cabin's front door. Play in the crystal clear water, relax at the campsite (complete with picnic table) on the path to the creek, and build a roaring fire when night falls. This is the country, so the stars will be visible at night! There is a cabin on the property, which won't be available to you on this booking. However, outside the cabin there is a 6.5’ x 20’ concrete porch with an outdoor table protected by a cozy overhang, a limestone firepit area with custom firepit (that you can cook on with the included attachment), garden lights, and (5) Adirondack chairs to accommodate that guitar jam session. A locked gate protects the property. The property is near Highway 33, so you will hear road noise from time to time when you’re outside. Because the cabin is spray foamed, it’s really quiet inside. We included sound machine just in case. If you run out of goods, there's a gas station with essentials (and hot Hunt Brothers pizza) a quarter mile away.

Basecamp is located on approximately 3.5 acres. Foster Creek, a year-round creek with gently flowing water and expansive sandbars, sits down a shaded walking path only steps from the cabin's front door. Play in the crystal clear water, relax at the campsite (complete with picnic table) on the path to the creek, and build a roaring fire when night falls. This is the country, so the stars will be visible at night! The cabin includes 2 comfortable bunks (Twin XL and Full XL), a comfy couch (which becomes a Queen bed with additional 4” memory foam topper), and a functional kitchenette, with all the comforts of home (induction cooktop, microwave, fridge/freezer, and coffee maker). Adjoining the main room is a full bath with a 48” tiled shower. Outside, there is a 6.5’ x 20’ concrete porch with an outdoor table protected by a cozy overhang, a limestone firepit area with custom firepit (that you can cook on with the included attachment), garden lights, and (5) Adirondack chairs to accommodate that guitar jam session. Beyond the firepit area is a food plot, where you may catch a deer or two in the early morning hours, and a wooded area where the kids can play. A locked gate protects the property. The property is near Highway 33, so you will hear road noise from time to time when you’re outside. Because the cabin is spray foamed, it’s really quiet inside. We provide a sound machine just in case. If you run out of goods, there's a gas station with essentials (and hot Hunt Brothers pizza) a quarter mile away.

We really enjoyed having access to the beautiful creek. Exploring upstream and downstream was one of the highlights of our trip. We took our chairs and our coffee each morning and sat on the sandbar while the sun rose. It was very peaceful. Cooking over an open fire each night was also extremely enjoyable.

Cabin for a Nature Getaway

I was in town for a few days working in Natchez and decided to book this cabin for a nature getaway, since I’d previously stayed in hotels and wanted a different experience. The drive to and from Natchez was easy and manageable. I stayed two nights, and the cabin had everything I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the AC was ice-cold—perfect after a hot day outside. Zach went above and beyond by providing plenty of firewood and bottled water, which made the stay super convenient. I didn’t need to leave the cabin for anything. The location is very secluded; I didn’t see another person the entire time, yet I still felt completely safe. Zach stayed in regular contact throughout my stay, which made me feel especially secure and cared for as a solo traveler.

Perfectly Private: A Solitary Stay

Zach's land is very beautiful. I was able to camp for two nights. The campsite was secluded and shady. Hardly heard any noise from the road. I felt like I was the only human in existence there. The creek was very nice too. A bit too shallow for fishing but still a wonderful spot to wade around in.

Too good to call it glamping

The container cabin was great! The walk to the creek is nice and there were so many birds in the area. Unfortunately, I picked a rainy weekend, so I didn't get to enjoy the outdoors as much as I wanted to, but one night was clear and perfect for stargazing. The immediate area around the cabin is clear of trees so there's lots of sky to see while still being surrounded by nature. The cabin has all you need and definitely enough space for a couple and one or two kids. The drive to Natchez isn't too long and it's beautiful, so that was a bonus. I guess the rain interrupting my plans means I'll just have to book another stay.

Great scenic spot right on the creek. Cabin was great. Made a day trip to Natchez, which was only 40 miles. Great fire pit and outdoor furniture. Zach was a great host. This will be a great place to visit in the warmer months to swim in the creek. We will definitely be back!

Base Camp is top notch. Amazing tiny space with incredible attention to detail in the woods a stone’s throw from a picturesque sandy creek. I brought my 2 youngest boys for the weekend and we had the perfect mix of wilderness and comfort. Cooked all our meals in the fire pit and grill but had the luxury of showers and a big comfy bed and central heat to sleep. Zach was an incredibly responsive and helpful host. This was my first time using Hipcamp and it was a breeze.

Perfect and relaxing getaway

This spot was such a special treat. My husband and I had a wonderful weekend here. It was quiet, relaxing, full of modern amenities, and we had the best day enjoying the nearby creek. Zach left us firewood too, which was an unexpected and welcomed surprise. There’s lots of hiking throughout the Homochitto Forest to enjoy as well. I can’t recommend this listing enough. A perfect stay.

THIS is the place! Clean, comfy beds. Hot shower. Cold AC. Firewood ready to go. We had the most relaxing trip & our 1.5 year old little boy had the time of his life. Perfect, shallow creek to run & play & cool off-especially if you have little ones. I can’t say enough positive things. My husband & I usually do tent style camping but with small kids in the mix, that’s not really ideal.. this was the perfect setup for an easy get away. Just show up with your food & drinks & be prepared to relax! Now I’m afraid we may be spoiled with this one. Thank you to the host for a memorable getaway & bravo job with the set up! Can’t wait to come back

I loved the privacy of this site. Close, easy access to the creek was awsome. Loved having an air conditioned place to retreat to from the heat. Of course my son loved having TV and wifi access too. Would definitely go again.

We had an absolute blast camping at Zach’s place. The cabin is so cute and was perfect for a small family. We spent a lot of time outside grilling and hanging out around the fire. The creek was a short walk from the cabin but it honestly felt like it was our own private creek. There wasn’t a soul in sight! It was the perfect temperature and just high enough for our daughter to splash around in without us having to helicopter parent! Overall, we had a great family bonding experience and we will be back to BaseCamp!

We decided we wanted to have a weekend getaway. So we booked Basecamp at Foster’s Creek. What a wonderful weekend! We enjoyed cooking outside, the access to the creek, and the vibe of the environment. I highly recommend staying here and relaxing. Zach, the owner, is very nice and responsive. We will be back!

My son, dog, and I stayed here one night. The space was very peaceful. There was an area to make a fire and ample firewood nearby. The seclusion was beautiful and we were able to hear owls in the woods. My dog was free to run around and explore as well as my toddler and neither was able to get into any trouble. All around a great spot to be surrounded by nature and in a safe space!

This spot is really cool. I loved the creek! It’s big, wide, and just deep enough for creek walking or cooling off in hot weather and my doggo loved it too. The creek also has easy access from the camp spot and lots of sandy beach spots for hanging out. I loved that it’s not crowded with people. This place is all yours when you’re there. And there’s lots of room if you bring a big group. Zach was easy to communicate with and responded fast.
