95 acres on the beautiful Topisaw Creek. Here we've raised 5 kids and a multitude of dogs, cats and chickens and a small herd of pineywoods cattle. The woods are quiet and undisturbed , harboring native species like jack in the pulpit, trillium and Florida anise. The spring-fed (and thus always refreshing!) Topisaw Creek forms the eastern border of our property, so plan to spend time on the sandy beaches and rock bars soaking up the sun or hunting for rocks and fossils (petrified wood and arrowheads have been found here). Many folks also enjoy a leisurely float down the creek in inner tubes ('tubing') or in a kayak. (Please note that after heavy rains the creek rises to epic heights and is too dangerous to navigate.) Little to no light pollution makes for amazing stargazing!

This wooded site has dedicated spots for 5 tents so is perfect for groups. Connected to our trail system and easily accessible from the pasture -- you can drive right to the edge of the site for quick unloading. There's a fire pit with log seating for roasting marshmallows and maybe a campfire sing-a-long! Overlooks a marsh where, if we're really quiet, we occasionally see ducks and herons.

Pitch your tent on the edge of the cool and clear spring-fed Topisaw Creek. Wade in the creek, sunbathe and hunt for fossils on the beaches and rock bars. Little to no light pollution makes for amazing stargazing in the pasture! This is by far our most popular site!  What makes it so great? -plenty of room for the whole family to eat, sleep and play -lovely site for splashing (or just sitting!) in the creek -river birches provide shade and a nice setting to tuck your tent -a large bonfire pit for evening gatherings  -table and chairs make meal-time easy -drive in site (Yes, really! You can drive right to the edge of the creek which makes this site perfect for families with young kids.) You may, however, not drive ON the beach. -  traditional outhouse available at this site - split and dried firewood available for purchase. $25 for large bundle. Cedar kindling and lighter knot for easy fire starting also provided with each batch.

Park within yards of your campsite. Path to creek. Site 3: Drive in site is our most easily accessible site and perfect for car/van or tent camping. Path to creek. Camp Topisaw Creekside Sandbar
We tent camped on the creek side sandbar. It was a group of 5 of us and a dog. David welcomed us at the site, he was friendly and answered all questions we had. The site had a bbq grill, a patio table and 4 chairs, and an outhouse that was close by. There was enough parking for our 3 vehicles so no problems there. The site wasn’t close by to other campers and felt very private which was nice. The creek was a little chilly but we were in it the majority of the days anyway, and the dog loved it. If you’re in to rock hunting this spot is for you! Bunch of neat things to find in and near the creek. I would also recommend some kind of water shoe for the rocky spots (if you have city feet like me) Overall, we had nothing negative to say about this place. Everything was great and we will be returning in the future!

I loved tent camping here! All of the beautiful sounds from rushing water to animals in nature made for a nice relaxing time! The directions were easy but the camping spot was still very secluded! Awesome spot to stargaze!

We had an absolutely amazing long weekend here. The sandy banks are gorgeous and the river is awesome. David was super friendly and helped us find our spot. One of the most relaxing get aways we have had in a while.

We loved Camp Topisaw and are ready to go back! Our dog was happy as a clam too. We swam and hunted for agates and fossils. The campsite 5 was beautiful and worth walking into. We also enjoyed exploring the trails and visiting the cows and horses. Great host! Communicative and friendly. Purchased firewood and they left it under a tarp at our site. Wonderfully convenient. We will be back hopefully sooner than later.

We loved camping at Camp Topisaw! Felt very secluded, quiet, and peaceful. The site is beautiful and absolutely for a weekend mental health break! You wake up to the sound of the moving creek and more birds singing than I’ve ever witnessed while camping. David was incredibly accommodating, showed us to our site, and provided a surplus of firewood for the purchased bundle so that we could enjoy our fires into the night.

Everything about this site was wonderful: the stars at night, the birds in the morning, the cool creek water during the hot summer day. Our Hosts were so easy to communicate with and the firewood we purchased from them was a serious deal! Can’t wait to visit again 🏕️

We had a WONDERFUL time during our two night stay at Camp Topisaw. We actually camped at Site 3, which was less shaded, but had easier access to the creek. David, who met us at the barn, gave us the option to switch upon arrival. We pulled our truck right up the site to unload & then park at the entrance for a bit more privacy, though you are far enough away from your neighbors that this is not an issue. I recommend setting your tents up on the right side of the tree line (if looking in from the road) so that you don't roast in the morning sun! The $25 bundle of wood was plenty for two summer nights of camping /cooking. It was lovely not having to buy & haul wood from home! We also appreciated the campfire ring that was dug into the ground & lined with stones. There were extra cooking grates & even a cafe table with chairs! The creek was easy to get to by way of a short trail off the back of the campsite. It is a bluff so be prepared to huff it up and down a small, but not too steep hill. The creek was clear, cool and had more green/blue hues than brown - a rarity for us! We spent most of our time beating the heat in water & letting tiny fish nibble on our legs. I do highly recommend water shoes with a hard bottom due to the pebble beach. While I had shoes, my partner did not. Both he & my city dog were limping around the beach by the end of the second day. They will BOTH have shoes on our next visit. Cannot recommend this spot enough! We will be back soon at Campsite 3!

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Camp Topisaw. The land and the creek are gorgeous, the water is perfect for swimming, and the campsite was quiet and private. David was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. I can’t wait to come back soon!

The water was lovely, the site was private, our cars were out of sight, but less than a minute’s walk away, and the supplied firewood was equivalent to multiple bundles from a store.
