Farm Stay Cabin & Nature Trail
This was a lovely, peaceful spot! We had a great night in the cabin, and we had everything we needed. Peter was responsive and welcoming, but gave us space as well.

This was the perfect place to stay for the night. Such a cute little cabin and had everything I needed. Went for a walk in the nature trails after dinner and was so serene and quiet. Wild definitely stay here again.

Beautiful farm near the Twin Cities with a great auto site. We needed to try our RTT before a trip out west and decided this was a perfect spot to give it a try. Only about a mile from the Gateway trail and a speedy 25 mile RT bike ride to downtown Stillwater for breakfast on a patio. Really a great option if you are looking to avoid crowds and noise at a public campground.

We chose this spot because it was close to the activities we wanted to do in the city but a remote place to set up camp. Peter had clear directions & the spot was perfect for a big tent & a hammock. We saw deer every night, turkeys & heard an owl. The wagon provided was perfect for hauling our gear to the spot. Would recommend!

This is our second trip to Whippletree and we love it. Easy access, nice add ons like a composting toilet and firewood, great site, and goats! This time we saw 10+ deer and some turkeys…we’ll be back again for sure.

An excellent site. Amenities are as discribed and well maintained. Trails were nice to have on site. Saw lots of animals. Perfect for a weekend trip.

This farm is so lovely! It's a peaceful refuge in the city. The goats are so sweet, the farm kitty is so kind and the property is perfect! It's everything you'd want!

It was close to home. It was just what my daughter and I needed for her to get her camping skills under her feet. It felt like we were out in the middle of no where, yet being just minutes from town.
Land was well maintained, everything was where it said it would be. It was a very positive experience.

We loved visiting! We walked a couple of the trails around the property and did see a couple deer, a couple garter snakes, and other misc. bugs and birds. The donuts were fabulous and a wonderful addition! While our time there was short, it was a relaxing getaway from Chicago.

Whippletree Farm is the perfect spot for us. Our daughter is at UMN and this spot allowed us to pull our camper and be within 20 minutes of Minneapolis. The location is perfect and serene. Peter is a great host and we plan to book again. It is a lovely location surrounded by farmland but yet nestled into an urban area.

The camp site was super cute and hidden in the woods. The hosts gave us everything we needed for our stay and we also got the donuts in the morning which were great!

We had a great time at Whippletree Farm! Peter was an excellent host - very accommodating and welcoming to us during our stay.
You can’t beat having the combined experience of the great outdoors and city life in one location!
Also highly recommend adding the freshly made Camp Donuts onto your stay 😋

This was a great experience. It was secluded yet easy to get to. Unfortunately we had to cancel one night because of a thunderstorm, but they were very accommodating. I highly recommend the donuts!

This was a fantastic stay. My 8 year old and I stayed here for a night on a road trip. Communication was great. The cabin was just rustic enough, yet comfortable. Definitely recommend the donuts!

Was a really hot night for camping but had no issues with the camping experience itself. Said hi to the owner as we walked to our site and had no other contact with them which was nice to have a more private experience. Saw some reviews complaint about highway noise beforehand but barely even noticed it with the breeze in the trees. Had a great time I wish I would’ve tried the donuts others were racing about.

We enjoyed our camping stay at Peter’s farm. It was super well organized, complete with a water setup, firewood, and a cart to transport our things. The only thing it doesn’t have is a shower, but for just $8 at Kwiktrip nearby we were squeaky clean.
Great location, super organized, super communicative — we recommend this spot 👍🏼

We loved our stay at Whippletree Farm! We appreciated the amenities and details provided, and especially enjoyed the steel tongue drum in the cabin. It was so peaceful and the weather was perfect. Left us with a great impression of Minnesota in July.

What a great spot just on the edge of the Twin Cities. I had to fly out early in the morning and this was a great place to pitch my tent. Beautiful and quiet I would come back here again.

This was our first official Hipcamp, and it did not disappoint!
The Whippletree Farm was perfect for our July 4 weekend. After spending time with family elsewhere, we were able to get away and relax with biking and hiking nearby at Lake Elmo Park Reserve and the Gateway Trail. It was quiet and exactly what we were looking for. Peter has done a beautiful job with options for staying here. Thanks again!

Beautiful beautiful place! Area was clean and I liked that it was isolated. Loved seeing the kitten walking around and everything was super nice. However we couldn't figure out how to get into the bathroom but we only stayed one night so we just used a gas station instead.
