Great property! The camp is very well set up. Nice trail in...the boardwalk made for a good little hike in and having the camp setback from the road makes it very private.

Great Spot But Overgrown/Rough
We enjoyed our weekend at Camp Palustria. It was easy to find and was the perfect size and location for us. There are only a few reasons we wouldn’t give it 5 stars. One was because it was very overgrown around the boardwalk area and there were a few spots at the end that had broken pallets. It looks like they may have just rotted away from the weather, but it made it very tricky to walk through. We also couldn’t find the creek due to overgrown grass. The camp spot itself was cleared out well but it was very difficult to find a spot for our square 4 person tent because of a small tree in the middle and a hole in the ground with rocks. But most of this was just a one time annoyance and didn’t ruin our trip.

Adventure hike to Camp Palustria!
We loved this little spot. My bf and I are serious back country campers; we took off for an impulsive getaway and needed a place to camp on the fly. Blake's response was lightning fast! ⚡ It was an adventure to find the trail head (although not difficult if you follow Blake's directions) and the trail was a winding path through a beautiful wooded marsh. We even navigated ourselves back with headlamps after 10pm and a few drinks. Super fun and for those who don't mind an adventurous hike in spot. Thanks, Blake!

Camp Palustria
Nice, private spot in the woods. Good flat tent pad and I found decent trees for hammocking. Little bit of a hike in as described. The conditions were very dry on our stay, but you’ll have to watch your step along the boardwalk when it’s wet. Will definitely visit again.

Amazing site! My girlfriend and I stayed one night here and the walk back to the actual site isn’t bad at all. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Camp Palustria
The beginning of the trail to the campsite was a little difficult to find, but the directions Blake gave to us were very good. It was fun navigating to the site on the small board walk and, besides some road noise, it felt like we were out in the woods alone. A fun site!

Site was awesome! The boardwalk in was nice and the site space was more than I expected. Plenty of wood in the are to gather for a fire and very little bugs. Only issue was the compost toilet compost had gotten hard and the cup to scoop it out with had been crushed so it was difficult to get out of the bucket.

This campsite was very nice! A little hard to find along the road and a little tough to balance on the wood as you walk to it - but all in all, nice and secluded. Also, it's in a great location -- very close to Duluth, and just a little ways from the highway up the North Shore!

Cool little spot!
The walk to the site is for sure a bit strange the first time through, as you’re walking through a very slim path though the woods. However, once we got there the site was clear for a tent & the fire pit was great. Bugs weren’t bad with bug spray, and the site was remote & in a good area. It is next to a road so cars could be pretty loud, but that only happened a couple times during the night. Overall my friends & I felt like we got to do a mini portage & had a great time at Camp Palustria!
Camp Palustria
Campsite was good. Walking to the site was fine on the boardwalk. I didn't stay long enough to explore any trails that were nearby.

Camp Palustria
The site is as described, including the boardwalk over the muddy sections. We got in an hour after dark and still didn't have trouble finding our way, so the directions Blake sends are definitely clear! Can't comment on most of the site since we came in late at night and left early the next morning. One thing to note is that we were coming in after a rain, and the trail to the site has tall grass growing next to it, so our pants got a pretty good soaking even though the ground wasn't muddy.
Camp Palustria
The campsite is okay and is exactly as listed. However, we were not warned that the "hike" to the campsite consists of walking a quarter mile through mid-calf deep mud. So, bring some high boots if you decide to book. Also, be careful of bears...
