Enjoy unforgettable sunsets over Lake Mille Lacs, painting the sky with vibrant hues. Step onto the sandy beach from your campsite and surround yourself with the soothing sounds of nature and the lapping of the lake's waves to help you unwind and connect with the outdoors. We have kayaks and a paddle board available, as well as a dock for fishing and swimming fun. There is a communal firepit on the beach, along with two portable fire rings available on a first-come, first-served basis. We are close to Father Hennepin and Kathio State Parks, where you can enjoy wildlife and hiking. There is a bowling alley in town along with a city park. Local fishing launches are available and ATV rentals with nearby trails provide even more opportunities for adventure. There are also boutiques and shopping in Isle as well as nearby towns of Wahkon and Aitkin. Adding to the welcoming atmosphere, are two friendly dogs – Frank, a Goldendoodle, and his sister/sidekick, Lucy, a Mini Goldendoodle. They roam freely on part of our property with the help of an invisible fence. Feel free to shoo them away if they bother you or if any other rogue neighborhood dog wanders over. You can have your friendly pets off leash but please contain your pet as you see fit with other pet personalities. Sometimes, like humans we don't all get along. Please clean up after them as they roam the property and respect others campers/neighbors spaces. Keep your dog within your sight at all times. When we camp, we value privacy, and we'll ensure the same for you. Upon arrival, please head directly to your campsite or cabin. Guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. ***Attention Summer Guests*** ***Swimmer's Itch Prevention*** During the warmer summer months, please be aware of the potential for swimmer's itch in our lake. Please Google Swimmer's Itch Prevention for more information. ***Mayflies and Fish Fly Hatches*** These hatches can vary by date and location. Remember you are in an outdoor space and they are a natural part of the ecosystem. Although they are a nuisance they are harmless to humans and do not bite or sting.

Campsite 3 is on a 30 ft x 12ft gravel pad just steps from the lake and views of the beach and the lake. This is the smallest of our 3 campsite spaces. Due to the trees on either side of this site, there isn't enough space to accommodate for awnings. If you need awning space Campsite 1 or Campsite 2 are large enough to extend camper awnings. This space is perfect for smaller campers, vehicles or tents. When we camp, we value privacy, and we'll ensure the same for you. Upon arrival, please head directly to your campsite or cabin. Experience the ultimate in lakeside simplicity with the Beachside Camper, a camper with a bathroom, shower and placed on the beach for those who seek a close connection with nature and the soothing sounds of the lake. The queen-size bed provides a cozy and comfortable space for two adults, while the twin-size bunk bed is ideal for smaller children, ensuring a restful night's sleep with the gentle sound of waves in the background. Please be aware that the water supply for the camper comes from its tank and may run out if used excessively, requiring refilling (hose for water under deck for that use). Similarly, the toilet tank can fill up with excessive use, which would necessitate removing the camper for dumping. There is an additional $300 fee if the toilet tank service is required. To avoid this, we encourage you to use the available outdoor facilities as well during your stay. Guests will need to be self-contained, take waste with them, and leave no trace. Hygge Hus is equipped with a queen-size bed, adorned with soft linens and fluffy pillows to ensure a restful night’s sleep. Additionally, a set of children's bunk beds provides extra sleeping space, making it ideal for families with smaller children. The exterior of Hygge Hus boasts a quaint porch with seating, where guests can enjoy the natural surroundings, watch wildlife, or stargaze in the clear night sky. Guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. **Seasonal Winter Stay in the Hygge Hus Seasonal winter camping is a unique experience, quite different from the usual camping trips you might be used to. In this setup, there won't be any running water or indoor toilets, so you'll need to rely on an outhouse or bring a portable toilet for your bathroom needs. Since the water systems are shut off during winter, you'll have to bring your own water supply for drinking and cooking. On the plus side, there is a space heater provided, which will help keep the Hygge Hus warm, though you'll want to dress in layers and have good insulation to stay comfortable. One of the best things about winter camping is the solitude—you'll likely have the whole place to yourself, as not many people choose to camp in the cold. It can be a peaceful and serene experience, perfect for those who enjoy the quiet and beauty of winter landscapes and of course the ice fishing and other winter activities. Just be prepared for the challenges that come with the cold weather!

There’s nothing bad to say about this place, we loved camping here! The campsites are fairly close together but you still have your own privacy which we loved. Even on memorial weekend, it was very quiet and relaxing. We will definitely be back when it’s warm enough to swim!!

This camp was so beautiful! Lots of beach to sit and relax, and hunt for rocks. We had a clear night, with a sky full of stars. Plenty of privacy. Definitely want to go back next summer.

Hygge Hus - a cozy lake cabin
Gorgeous location, right on the water with a beautiful, private sandy beach. So convenient having a toilet and shower in the cabin! Not to mention a fridge and microwave. Loved having campfires with that view. We will be back!

I’m speechless about this place! It was perfect in every way. The sunset was stunning and having the fire pot right by the lake with the sunset view was just breathtaking! I’m coming with my friends because this place is so worth it and amazing! Scott very nice and made sure we had everything we need. My dog had so much with their two dogs! It was a 100 stars stay!

Hi all! My husband and I booked the Beach House Bungalow for 4 days/3 night and this was our experience! Pros: the views and location were amazing. We loved the sunsets and the cabin offered many amenities to make a comfortable stay. We highly recommend the table and chairs on the end of the dock as well the hammocks. The owners were responsive in messaging. Cons: we had neighbors with large trucks/trailers that took over the campground and weren't very respectful. This campground is too small for that type of equipment and made it uncomfortable. They smoke, drank, and were very loud and made the outhouse quite unbearable-they didn't follow any of the campground rules that were clearly posted. We also had another neighbor who brought a dog who ran after us many times, and tried to bite my husband twice and did bite him once, all unprovoked. We love dogs but this was unacceptable. We had a leaking 100 lb. propane tank that was never fixed and was dangerous for us and our smoking neighbors 😬 We also used the paddle boards and oars and one of the oars was faulty (unknown to us). It ended up breaking, from what looked to be many uses prior to us, and it stranded us out in the lake (we were rescued, all is well). The grill was unusable with chipping metal and rust on the grill grate as well, unfortunately.

Hi all! My wife and I booked 4 days/3 nights in the Beach House Bungalow. Here's our experience! Pros: the location and views were stunning. Some of the best sunsets we've seen aside from the ocean. The cabin was clean and had many amenities that made for a comfortable stay. The owners were responsive in messaging. We highly recommend the chairs and table at the end of their dock-we made use of these often. We also loved the hammocks. Cons: neighbors with very large trucks/trailers who took over the campground which included more drinking and smoking than anyone wants to deal with. The outhouse was then quite unpleasant because of that and they broke many rules. Trucks and trailers just honestly don't fit well here and are tough to work around as other campers on site. Another neighbor brought a dog who unfortunately attempted to run after us many times and bit me once and almost a second time. We love dogs but this was unacceptable and it was obvious this dog was going to be a problem and it was. We had a 100 lb. propane tank leaking on our cabin that was never fixed during our stay which was dangerous for us and other campers nearby, especially our smoking neighbors 😐 We also took out the paddle boards that they provided and while using the paddle boards and oars, we ended up with one faulty oar (unknown to us). Unfortunately, one oar broke due to what looked to be wear and tear from many uses prior to us, and it left us stranded on the lake (someone did rescue us 👍🏼).

Highly recommend this spot. We have a 33ft Class C and it fit perfectly in site 2. We could even put our awning out. This place was absolutely perfect. So relaxing to just sit by the beach and read a book. Water was awesome too. Loved the fire pits, used one by our site and larger one by lake and visited with other guests. Beautifully manicured lawn. Scott checked in with us to ensure everything was ok and then gave us our privacy. This is a perfect spot for a couple or friend getaway or for family/friends gathering. We will definitely return! Didn’t want to leave. Thank you Scott & Sarah for sharing your beautiful site!

This property is so beautiful! We LOVED being out in the sun by the water. It was a very clean and easy set up and was perfect for our two groups to camp. It was wonderful being the only ones there. Kids loved playing in the sand and there may be a nascar car that was left behind in the sand somewhere. Haha the owners gave us our privacy and that was very much a nice surprise. We loved the fire in the beach! How wonderful. We could’ve stayed for so much longer. Our daughter was getting the sad puppy eyes as we told her it was the last day. I almost don’t want to write a review because this place is a GEM. But I want anyone to know that this was such a wonderful getaway. I hope to be able to come back again soon! Thank you so much for letting us invade your space for the weekend! Can’t wait until we come again!

Site 3! My teardrop fit perfectly in this site...loved the common area with multiple options for enjoying the lake. Scott and Sarah were awesome hosts. We explored the Father Hennepin and Banning State Parks for some beautiful Hikes then relaxed by the lake in the evening. Their site would be a great spot for a small group of friends or family to convene! I highly recommend and would definitely book again!

Wow! The lake view was exceptionally beautiful! Sarah’s generous spirit offers many perks on this property. Not only the beach, but fire pits, plentiful seating on beach and off and nice shade trees when you want a break from the sun. This is a place you don’t want to miss.

Aaaaammaaazing spot!!! Western facing so you get very scenic sunsets. Beautifully manicured lawn and grounds. Idyllic beach complete with chairs and fire-pits. We beached our SeaDoo and were able to easily get out on the lake. Very nice dock as well. I would recommend this to anyone!

Cute little place! The hosts were amazing and their dogs are adorable. We had access to the lake, dock, and even the kayaks! They kept checking in on us to make sure we were alright while also giving us privacy. They have an outhouse that is very clean and well kept. A sink in the bungalow would add a lot however. Highly recommend!
