I loved camping at Genevieve's during my cross-country trip! The location is beautiful and tucked away from town with a view of a horse pasture, soft grass, and is at the top of a hill accommodating a soft breeze. The family was so wonderful to me and I loved the free access to a full restroom. I was surprised that camping in someone's yard was one of my favorite stops but I was actually a bit disappointed I had to leave to continue my trip. Definitely recommend!

Tent Camping in the Yard
Genevieve and her family were so welcoming to us and made sure we were settled when we got there and that we were all prepared to head out the next morning. My first Hipcamp stay and she made everything so easy and her yard overlooked a beautiful landscape with an awesome sunrise in the morning. Would definitely recommend stopping here especially if you are a young woman or traveling with a group of women! The nicest host and the warmest family. :)

We loved the camp circle down by the water- we did not set up camp there, but we packed up a picnic and watched the sun set. We picked a quiet, shady spot in the front yard for our tent. We had easy access to the indoor bathroom with shower. We loved meeting Kiwi the cat, who was friendly & cute. Beautiful area with lovely foliage. Beautiful sunrise! Super friendly host - certainly recommend.

I loved the level parking, the bathroom with an excellent shower, and the company of Genevieve and her children! Fergus Falls is a beautiful town with some good food and a cool 27-hole disc golf course that you must play, if you're into that. Highly recommended!

I had such a great stay at Genevieve’s place in Minnesota. Such a beautiful property and very peaceful and quiet. Slept perfect. It was so nice to have so much shade from all the trees and space to put up my hammock. There weren’t any other campers when I stayed but there is so much space it wouldn’t have made a difference for me. I loved being able to use the shower and bathroom inside the house- very neat and clean. Highly recommend staying here as the hospitality and convenience made this a perfect stay for my solo female road trip experience.

We fully enjoyed boon docking at this Hipcamp. Weather was beautiful and even a nice thunderstorm during the night. Wonderful, quiet, peaceful sleeping. I would recommend this to anyone with a travel trailer or rv. Easy in and out.

Tent camping at Genevieve’s was relaxing and enjoyable for the whole family. Her and her kids were welcoming to our kids and although it was a short stay for us, we would stay again! Also loved the little turtle that came to visit!

This HipCamp site is literally someone's yard. They have a few acres with a very private tent site about 250 ft. behind their home on a small lake (pic herewith). It was a lovely spot, but I would have to have made multiple trips back and forth with all my equipment. I was traveling by motorcycle and there was no way to get the bike near to the site. The homeowners didn't mind where I pitched my tent, so I literally set up in their front yard. They live on a dirt road with only a few homes and it was very private and as quiet as can be. The only thing I heard all night was the breeze. It was a perfect place to crash for the night.

Hosts were welcoming and site was nice. If you plan to use their bathroom, it is inside their home and felt a bit intrusive of their privacy, but I’m shy about such things.

This was a great spot to camp for a cross country road trip! Super easy and welcoming host that took the time to show us around when we got there. I would highly recommend staying here and making use of the camp circle in their backyard. Great spot to watch the sunset and have a fire. The ground is a little sloped but camping at the uphill side of the camp circle was the flattest section and we didn’t notice while sleeping. Bathroom availability was a huge plus! Thanks, G!

My stay was great! Genevieve and her husband, Dallas were so friendly and welcoming. Their five children are adorable, and polite. The property is very peaceful. You can hear coyotes sometimes at night. I felt safe and relaxed the entire time. The guest bathroom campers are allowed to use is a life saver. Clean, and modern.

Genevieve was so hospitable and friendly! She made me feel right at home! The space was safe, clean and everything the listing said plus more. As a solo female traveler, I’d highly recommend for any gals (or anyone!) looking for a quiet, beautiful spot to camp.
