Canpers! We have added one more pop up camper for this Memorial Day weekend ! First one gets it! This lakefront farm is a very special spiritual location. Listen to the night life in the woods and loons on the lake. Fall time- the acorns are falling:) BEAT the HEAT at the LAKE! The farm animals are gone now, but there remains a huge barn and outbuildings. Enjoy observing old time architecture! Room for soccer too! Monet tight? We are open to a refund of $20 a day for an hour for farm chores. Chores like mending fences, cutting vegetation, collecting the harvest from the earth, etc. Pay in full thru hipcamp, then we can arrange a task per interest and capabilities!! We're almost seventy now -getting harder to keep things up, ya know! need lots of oak limbs peeled off the bark:)

Welcome ! Pioneer Farm @ Fish Lake

Nancy and Karl are the sweetest ladies ever they have a beautiful property a little out the way but not a far drive at all if you do plan on doing other events. My fiancée and I had a wonderful time and already are planning to come back. They are also expanding and adding features! If you get the chance also check out Kals art studio/shop the glass work she does is beautiful.

The Duplex in the Woods

Great Stay

Nancy and Kalli were so nice and we really enjoyed our stay. The camper was secluded and kept us dry during a thunderstorm. Lots of frogs around, a firepit for us to use, and super close to the lake! Our 4 year old and pup had a blast. Everything was simple and easy, just what we wanted for our first Hipcamp experience. Be sure to check out the garden and Kalli's art while you're there too!

Lovely space & lovely people

We had a delightful time staying the weekend with Nancy and Kal. They made sure we had everything we needed. Because no one else was staying that weekend we had a choice between the RV and the pop up and chose the pop up for a little extra sleeping space. Traveling to small, rural towns as a couple of queer/trans folk can sometimes be a bit stressful but Nancy and Kal are a slice of refreshing open-minded peace out in the country. We felt very at home there. We loved chatting with them but also found plenty of privacy at our camp too. Kal has a fused glass shop that was also fun to check out. The mosquitos were a bit nasty (bring bug spray!), especially considering there's been a lot of rain lately and it can get swampy in some areas. But they were not too bad right up by the house and certainly didn't deter us from having an excellent time. We had fun swimming in the lake and listening to the loons, owls, and frogs at night. There are fireflies and so many bird species! So beautiful. We very much hope to come back the next time we need an escape from the city.

Awesome oasis stop just outside MN!

On short notice I needed an escape from MN and the city, Pioneer farm and its owners were so kind and wonderful having me and my pup Mowgli- even better we had incredible Northern Lights and I couldn't have imagined a better place to enjoy them!
