Step back in time and experience the peace of our old homestead. Enjoy a spacious primitive campsite surrounded by nature, where you'll have plenty of privacy with no nearby neighbors—just open countryside, wildlife, and quiet nights. The property features a rustic log cabin, a historic farm barn, an outhouse, and two vintage hand water pumps. Please note: The cabin and barn are off-limits to guests, and the field is off-limits as well. You're welcome to use the hand pumps, but the water is not safe to drink. The outhouse is available during your stay—please bring your own toilet paper. Your campsite includes a fire ring and an outhouse. This is off-grid, primitive camping, so there is no electricity, running water, or hookups. Please bring your own firewood for campfires. Spend your evenings beneath a sky full of stars while listening to the distant howls of coyotes. Around sunrise and sunset, keep an eye and ear out for wild turkeys, deer, and other local wildlife. Looking to explore? Maple Lake is just a 15-minute drive away, making it easy to enjoy fishing, paddling, or a relaxing day on the water before returning to your peaceful campsite. Whether you're looking to unplug, reconnect with nature, or simply enjoy the quiet of the countryside, our old homestead offers a truly secluded and memorable camping experience.VERY PRIVATE NOBODY CAMPING around you. Camp anywhere in the mowed grass and enjoy the entire camping area to yourself. There is plenty of space to spread out with your tent, camper, or RV. If you prefer a little more privacy, you're also welcome to camp in the long grass between the cabin and the barn. With no other campsites nearby, you'll have the entire camping area to yourself for a quiet and private stay. This is a primitive campsite with no water or electrical hookups. A purple outhouse is available for guest use—please bring your own toilet paper. The cabin and barn are private and are off-limits to guests.
