Enjoy a spacious 2-acre lakefront RV site in a natural Minnesota setting, perfect for spreading out and relaxing. The property sits along a quiet, dead-end gravel road, just a short drive from a paved county highway. Please note: The lake bay directly connected to the site is shallow and weedy, so swimming is not recommended, and fishing from the shore or dock may be challenging. However, the scenic lake views and gentle slope to the water make this an ideal setting for your RV retreat. Location Reference: • ~25 miles west of Alexandria, MN • ~90 miles northwest of St. Cloud, MN • ~155 miles northwest of Minneapolis, MN • ~95 miles southeast of Fargo, ND What You’ll Find Here: • Full RV hookups including 30-amp (220V) and 20-amp (110V) electrical service, water, and a connection to a sewage holding tank. • Mostly open, grassy lot with full sun exposure and a few small trees along the perimeter. • Located ½ mile off a paved county road, with minimal traffic on a dead-end gravel road. • Small dock provided. The shallow bay may be suitable for small boats, but water levels vary and larger boats may have difficulty. Public boat launch is 1 mile away. • Swimming is not ideal from the property, but a well-maintained public beach is just 1 mile away on a neighboring lake. • A paved bike trail is ½ mile away, offering access to the beach and nearby town. • Fire ring provided. Firewood is available as an optional add-on. Things to Note • The RV shown in photos is not included—it’s for example purposes only. • There are no trash facilities onsite—guests must pack out all garbage. • One RV and up to two vehicles per booking, please. • A shed on the premises is locked and not accessible during your stay. • No storm shelter is available. Host was great! The location is quiet, set up location is pretty level, everything was as described. Nice little area by the dock to put your kayak in. Will definitely book again, do to convenience, and price.

This was our second time at Russell’s and its safe to say we will be back again! We had to cut our trip a day short due to some bad weather, and Russell was so kind to offer us a place to stay to ride out the storm. Can’t say enough good things about Russell, his hospitality and the awesome spot we cant wait to come back to soon!

We had a very peaceful afternoon & evening hanging out by the lake with our pups. There were lots of birds. There is a neighbor pretty close and you can see a few of the neighbors, but they are far enough away to feel somewhat private.

The land is very beautiful. You have a beautiful view of the lake. It’s very private. There are other campers there, but they’re far away from you. The only drawback is you have to take your trash with you. But I believe it was worth it. Good price for what you get.

We absolutely loved this private site! It was perfect to play fetch with our dog and hang out by the camper. We also drove down to the beach and went for a swim! It was great and would definitely come back to this site again.

Great place to camp! Was a good chunk of land plenty of room for us to camp in our tents and be spread out!. Wasn’t too loud either neighbor was a very nice older man he stopped by to say hi and invited us over to sit In the shop and listen to music with him. Lake is pretty weedy and muddy but if you go out by the tree that’s in the lake it gets pretty sandy and is only about waist deep. Overall great experience and would definitely go back again!.

It was a nice flat open lot. There are no campers on either side of you. The neighbor to the west played a little music in the evening in his garage but it wasn’t too loud and it was from the 60’s and 70’s which I enjoyed.

We were beyond thrilled to find this VERY reasonably priced site with full hook ups for the busy 4th of July Holiday weekend. This is a one camper site on 2 acres which is nice because our dogs are nervous around loud and continuous fireworks. There were people around. But, it was MUCH quieter than a busy holiday campground. 2 things to be aware of 1) gnats which were thick. bring bug spray. There were a lot. Which wasn't a big deal for us as we were looking for more of a "base camp" and not a "stay and play". 2) The other thing to be aware of is there are some loose off-leash dogs in the area I counted 3 for sure there was one dachshund, especially that visited us a few times and barked at us (alerted) quite a bit with or without our dogs present. I love dogs and. Our dogs are pretty good with other strange dogs .but if you have a dog that might be reactive to this, don't leave them outside even for a moment unless you're sitting right there. Russell was very generous with the firewood and our $5 bundle was more than enough for our fire. He was also great to work with.. We don't have a huge rv but if you had a large camper this is a very nice flat site and it would be perfect for that the hook ups are very nice and well maintained and clean.. There was a lovely view of the lake which we enjoyed and there was a dock but we never made it down there to use. Overall this was a nice space easy to set up the hookups were lovely the price was very reasonable. Great host.

Excellent site for a private camping experience. Occasionally we heard the train near by, which was loud, especially at night, but overall, very quiet. The neighbor was mowing too, right next door one day. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. We will be back!

My wife and I took our RV out for the first time and thought Russel’s would be the perfect spot to give it a go. We had an absolutely terrific time, Russel is very accommodating, the property itself is absolutely beautiful and we had no issues with neighbors. I highly recommend this place if you want somewhere peaceful and somewhat secluded to go! We will certainly be back!

Nice large , Open Spot with lake view in front and large corn field in back. The spot had everything we needed. As mentioned on another review, the neighbor was enjoying his music and we could hear it but we didnt find it disruptive. He had some nice music choices and we choose to listen to his music and not play ours. : ) We had a nice time.

Russell's land is beautiful & open. It's right on the lake, so we could fish off the dock. There was a paddle boat, picnic table, & fire pit, with wood, available for us to use also. The layout was perfect to drive in & hook up & just pull out when done. Please note if you're going to use GPS, you may want to go through the Google app or Google maps. Otherwise, we used our GMC truck navigation, which took us to the opposite side of the lake.

The owner was great to work with and very communicative. The location really was beautiful and well kept. The site was as described and the firewood was waiting on me when I got there. Unfortunately, the house next door blasted loud music the entire time I was there. The owner was very accommodating and if not for the neighbors it would have been a good trip.

We had a girl’s weekend at Russell’s place, and asked if we could add a couple tents/campers. He was very accommodating and adjusted the price for us. Instructions were great, everyone was happy with the full hookups. We really loved all the open space and not having to be around other campers. We usually try to book a site with a swimmable beach area, and although the lake is quite mushy and not for wading- he recommended a beach very close by (some of our group kayaked across the lake and portaged over the road, and some of us drove). We REALLY loved the paddle boat being available for use (and fire pit) and if you like fishing, they were jumping out of the lake so much it was like watching a synchronized fish dance. The closest neighbor came over to say hello and invite us over for drinks. We declined, but he seemed very friendly (albeit a bit lonely as a widower) and continued to play music loud enough for us to hear based on what we told him we liked (he used to be a DJ). Other than a few cars driving past now and then, we didn’t see anyone else the entire time. We did hear coyotes quite a bit both nights, so that was pretty neat :) Overall, I definitely recommend Russell’s land- just be sure to bring your own shade (tent/RV awning), don’t expect a sandy swimming area, and (as with all campsites) bring plenty of bug spray) and you’ll have a great time :)

Great place to just enjoy a quiet place for a few days. Great view of Elk Lake - only downside was the property was in the slew and lots of stuff in the water. We have a 50 amp 5th wheel and there is only 30 amp power supply but weather was very comfortable so it worked just fine. Plenty of room to just enjoy. If back in the area we would definitely stay again.

Very peaceful and serene! We spent most of the time outside watching the pelicans! Beautiful lot and view. We were able to have campfires in the owners fire pit! It was an awesome week!

This spot is great for its large expanse of mowed grass for games or letting your dog run on a long lead. There is a Elk Lake beach a short drive away as is Kensington Runestone Park. Do know that there is no natural shade at the site and that you are essentially in a residential and farming area so you will hear the occasional power tool, mower, etc. Also there is a freight train that does run certain nights and sounds its horn (not close but audible). Russell was great with the instructions and even supplied firewood for a reasonable price. We enjoyed it.

Great spot! We really enjoyed the space and watching all the ground squirrels and deer waunder through. My nephew thought the peddle boat was super cool and we Had a great view of the stars down on the dock at night! We'll definitely be back!

This site is perfect for a quiet get away! Quiet, spacious and beautiful. The full hook ups make this location ideal also for a quick transition back home. Would highly recommend and we will be back!

Quiet and peaceful stay.

I enjoyed the camp site. Easy to find and get to. Several lakea in the area to explore via kayak including the one at the site. Flat area for set up, and great for lawn games. Neighbor's house us very close, but nobody was home. Quiet stay for me and that was great. Picnic table was provided by site owner.
