Loaf N Leisure stands out as a unique family-owned resort that has been cherished for generations, offering a serene escape surrounded by nature. Established in the late 1930s as the Loafen Lodge by Archie and Marie Johnson, this beloved destination has evolved over the decades. In the 1980s, the resort transitioned to their daughter Marion Gustafson and her husband Raymond, who continued the family legacy. After the original farmhouse was lost to a fire, the third-generation owners, Joanne and John Leckscheid, took over in 1992 and built the current home. While the landscape has transformed over the years, the essence of Loaf N Leisure remains intact. The former trailers and campground have been converted into a welcoming RV park, where seasonal guests can relish the sandy beach, the tranquil waters of Farm Island Lake, and the expansive wooded areas that provide a sense of privacy and seclusion. In 2021, new owners Matt and Tara Yunker embraced the tradition of family hospitality, aiming to create lasting memories for their guests.
