Located in an area of exceptional beauty and solitude. The Gunflint Trail Yurt is in a remote oasis located on 44 acres with access to its own private environmental lake. The yurt may act as a great hub to explore all that the Gunflint Trail has to offer, along with being on the "lower trail" so-in close proximity to the charming town of Grand Marais and the North Shore. There is plenty of hiking, canoeing, berry picking, fishing and outdoor activities galore. The yurt has a picnic table and fire ring for outdoor cooking, Drinking and cooking water can be hauled from well. Guests bring their own sleeping bags, pillows, cookware and outdoor cooking stove. Like camping, there is no electricity. If you like the sounds of birds, this is the place to be!The Gunflint Trail Yurt is-a simple, peaceful hub to access all that the Trail and Grand Marais have to offer. It is for those who enjoy quiet and the Northern Lights. The yurt acts as a great shelter for those who wish to have a step up from camping, with comfortable twin beds. The Yurt shares 44 acres with a small cabin down the driveway. An aluminum canoe is provided. The lake is on the shallow side, and has a soft bottom lake. Swimming is wonderful at the adjacent lakes.
