Discover the unique charm of Gun Lake Family Campground, which opened its doors in the spring of 2023 after a year and a half of dedicated construction. Nestled on what was once a hay field and pasture, this campground has a rich history. The land was purchased by relatives of the Hagel family, who farmed it for many years. In 1985, they planted Scotch Pines along the lakeside with the intention of harvesting them for Christmas trees. Although the trees grew too large to sell, they now beautifully enhance the campground's landscape, providing a serene backdrop for your stay. At Gun Lake Family Campground, there's no shortage of activities to keep you entertained. Enjoy fishing for panfish right off the dock, watch for deer visiting in the evenings, and take in the breathtaking sunsets that paint the sky. The campground offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, making it an ideal destination for families and nature lovers alike.
