Floodwood Municipal Campground has recently undergone a major renovation to enhance your camping experience, including: ✅ Remodeled and upgraded shower house for added comfort. ✅ Newly widened roads for easier access throughout the campground. ✅ New camping pads and electrical pedestals, with all sites offering water and electrical hookups. ✅ On-site septic dump station for added convenience. ✅ Brand-new ADA-accessible fishing pier, made possible by a grant from the Minnesota DNR. Funding for this project was provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR). Originally secured by the City of Floodwood in the 1970s to preserve outdoor recreation for future generations, the campground continues to be a welcoming haven for campers, hunters, anglers, and boaters alike. Site 6 - Floodwood Campground
This is a great little place to camp, very peaceful and right on the river. There is a nice fishing dock and some additional little trails to fish from shore. Camp sites are well maintained and required very little leveling for our 30ft camper. Bathroom/shower house was clean and well maintained as well. Oh and I almost forgot to mention it is super dog friendly!!! Look forward to camping here again!

basic park bathrooms bit run down but nice host and river only negative in off season very isloated host not there and close to public area if camping alone or say two girls alone maybe not feel safe we had a lone guy just hanging around for awhile?? made us feel bit unsafe

Absolutely beautiful quiet and charming little campground. Perfect getaway on the St. Louis River. Site 9 has electricity, a picnic table and fire pit. Bathrooms with a shower stall are a couple hundred feet near by. Yes, we would recommend this campground to friends and family and we can't wait to come back!

Not the rigs over 30' or so. For 36' fifth wheel, there was no way we could shoehorn ourselves into the most readily accessible site, so we had to leave and find another camp.

We always loved this place with the quiet view and clean raked sites. Now it has garbage around and a car seat by the electrical box in #9 that was there last year. Fire pit was full and had trash in it. Wood for sale was sitting out in the rain.

My second year here and again…. AMAZING!!! Nice sized sites, quiet and hosts are GREAT. I will be back next year and hopefully I have no issues with my camper and can use it instead of the pop up. 😩😊 Give this camp ground a try!!! It is worth it!

Very quit place. We could hear the river running and the fish catching there dinner. Site was clean and easy to find. Would recommend a little tree trimming from the site management. We didn't use the powder room so I couldn't tell you about it. Host said hi and we all kept to ourselves which was very nice. Great place for some peace and quit!

The site was ok and too quiet for my ADHD 5 year old to be there. So the bathroom was a nightmare. I was scared a spider was gonna bite me, they could at least take a broom to the spider webs to make it look a little more comfortable to use. Paint chips everywhere and not to mention, curtains for stall doors. Not very comfortable using the facilities there as woman's restroom didn't have anyway of locking from the inside for privacy, men's did and their restroom was worse. I wouldn't recommend this campsite. But the price was good, guess u get what u pay for, shitty facilities at cheap rates.

The host was very friendly and helpful. There is no water and nowhere close by to get water. They offer a dump station and charge $15 but there is no water. You can get to the river but it is a very treacherous climb. The bathrooms are locked which made it feel sketchy. It is in a neighborhood so when we walked out neighborhood dogs were there. I think it was worth about $10 a night not $20 The restaurant down the road was amazing and had great service. It was called Savannah Portage. I wouldn't stay there again.

Floodwood was a good place to stay. The bathrooms really need a good cleaning and a major update. Animals that stay there should be controlled and stay with their owners. If an animal cannot behave then it should not be there! People staying at the campground should realize that there are other people staying too. Not everyone needs to hear their conversations.

Nice quiet little campground. If you need a code to unlock the washrooms there should be doors on the individual stalls or at least able to lock the door on the inside..Couldn't lock the women's washroom from the inside.

Easy hookup with 30 amp power, shower facilities. Staff that answered my phone call and were patient with me. Nice view of the river behind our spot.

It was nice to stay in a site close to the water. Only issue we had were the bugs were awful! But the sweetest neighborhood cat more than made up for it! We'd come back just for her.

Site was close to next campsite. They were using our picnic table and fire pit. The washrooms were not clean and the door to the stall was a cloth curtain. We would not camp here again or recommend this camp site.

Camp Floodwood has a great location, but suffers from a lack of regular maintenance and likely funding for improvements. I do understand the campground will go through a major remodel in 2023, so we will see how it looks after that. My main gripes are -gross bathrooms -lack of River access -Sites don't look to be well maintained or leveled Pros are -Great customer service via email -Campground hosts were responsive when we had an issue -Location -Tree cover for shade

We were in Site 4 for the weekend. We have a 23ft fifth wheel camper and it fit. My friends had site 5. Both had big yards. Bathrooms were convenient. Nice fire pits. Wish it had a spot for a little beach or place to swim in the river but besides that, I would definitely come back. Host was super friendly.

Great little campground just on the edge of town by the river. Super clean and comfortable. The bathrooms also have a shower. The host are very sweet folks, they have great recommendations and even sell bundles of wood. We will be coming back!

The camp itself wasn't too bad. Had a bunch of garbage in the campsite (previous party I assume) so I had to make sure that my dog didn't find anything to eat. The neighbors in the neighborhood were a little loud, one guy decided to mow at 10 at night. ATV's kept driving through, even though there was a sign specifically stating no ATV's. Fishing was good.

Camped 3-5 July 2022. Rainy wet Sunday, scattered Monday, the only ones there. Pulled out Tuesday. Spot #9, great spot at the end. Little trail to river. Caution when wet. Slippery mud. Level spots. 25’ jayco bumper pull, 2500 chevy. No problem getting in spot. Might be tight for bigger rigs. Park like settings, fire rings, tables, real close to town but still quiet. Didn’t use the bathrooms. Trash cans there to dump trash. Power 30 amp. Normal bugs mosquitoes for river and grass. You can buy fire wood there, we didn’t. Met hosts. Coming in and when we left, friendly people. Great view of St. Louis river, with flood wood river not to far. You know your camping close to town when you hear church bells at 1200 & 1800 😂 A real nice spot. Coming back for sure 🤙🤙
