This was a great spot to come across! It had an outlet and was nice and private. Jim was great to meet. We ended up leaving the second day bc it was a bit cold a rainy for us but Jim refunded us which was very generous of him. we’ll have to come back when it’s a warmer time of year!

Our camping experience with Jim was one of the best! He was very friendly, accommodating, and so understanding throughout our stay. He brought us dry wood and showed us around the property to all the amenities available. Be sure your furry friends are friendly towards chickens. Thank you, Jim for an incredible stay!!

Site 4 - Camping on private lake
My group had a great time on the property! Campsite 4 is definitely the most secluded, so it was the right choice for us. We were lucky enough to have the property mostly to ourselves and Jim (and the dog) were very welcoming! I was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t more mosquitoey considering the water. We had fun kayaking on the shallow lake, although the one thing I would say is that it is very silty, so be prepared to get dirty. For that reason we didn’t really want to get all in the water. My friends are already thinking of returning sometime! It was a great spot for a little birthday get together!

Hidden gem! Highly recommend! We arrived to a wagon full of firewood, the hammock hanging, and the kayaks ready to use. Great host!

Had such a wonderful time staying here! We had plenty of space and privacy, which made for a really relaxing stay. Jim and his friendly and adorably dog greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the place. We even got fresh eggs, which were so delicious! We had such a great experience and will definitely be coming back!

The sites and the view across the lake are fantastic! Quiet and large sites, flat, and site 4 is shady.
Had i known the lake is extremely shallow (6ft or less) even before the lack of rain, next to no fish, most of the sites back up to a corn field, and you have to drive through a very unsightly and junk filled site to get to the camp area, I would have reconsidered.
All in all, no issues, no bothers, the description just paints a prettier picture is all.

Jim was so welcoming and gracious! The space was set up with a campfire going and picnic table and camping game. The site has a hammock and direct access to the lake. Beautiful spot! Would definitely stay again!

Site 4 - Camping on private lake
This was my second stay and Jim’s property and won’t be my last. This time I brought the kids and dog and we all had a great stay. We love site 4. The lake is great for swimming, very few mosquitos, huge private site and a great host. Jim brought us fresh eggs again. His dog Roxy is also a sweetheart. Thanks again Jim. We’ll see you next season!

We had a great one night get away! We lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves. Jim was kind and gave us fresh eggs and chopped fire wood for us.

This place was an absolute dream and Jim was a fantastic host! We swam in the lake, made a fire, and watched the fireflies from the hammock. It felt so private and remote—the perfect way to relax and reconnect with nature. We will be back!

Jim was a great host. He went above and beyond with helping us with what we needed on this trip. The location is calm and peaceful, and we were surprised at having fewer bugs so close to so much water.
We had a wonderful time at site 1. The nicest thing was the quiet and the nature. Jim was super helpful and considerate. Will go again!

This is a quiet and beautiful setting with space to relax. Jim is an excellent host and is there to help if needed. If you’re looking for some space with some additional amenities and want to relax and chill we would highly recommend Jim and his beautiful sites. Five stars!

Very private and lots of space. Site 1 had a several mature trees to set up camp under, a hammock, picnic table, 2 chairs and a fire ring as well as direct water access. We could hear cows mooing at night from a nearby farm and lots and lots of birds! The road is close and you can hear it but it wasn’t that frequently traveled. We had a great stay!
We had a great weekend camping here. We stayed at site 4 and it was HUGE and extremely private. The small lake is nice and there’s some kayaks and a paddle boat to use, plus a 14 footer. Jim was friendly and laid back. We would love to camp here again

I absolutely loved tent camping on Jim's land! Although it stormed the 1st night and was super windy all weekend, the spot was still perfect! Jim is super friendly and helpful! I used one of the kayaks to spend time on the lake, which was really great! Beautiful area to watch the sunset. Close to some really cool places! I felt right at home, as Jim is very welcoming to his land. I would definitely camp here again!

Simple. Easy going campsite. Nice boat ride on water. Clear skies. Easy access. Bring swim suit for outdoor shower.
We stayed at site 4 and it was very private and spacious for our family of 4. Jim was a great host! He provided activities for us, boat, kayaks, a mini fidge, and even gave us a dozen eggs! Our little family enjoyed our stay very much and would love to camp here again in the future! Highly recommend. Thank you so much Jim!

Jim was an amazing host and the site was excellent! Jim was so helpful and accommodating!He helped us when we had issues with our tent and bad weather. We are so grateful! The site was large and right by the lake and dock, absolutely lovely. It was so nice to have access to boats and the lake was great for fishing! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
