Tucked away in a peaceful pine forest, this private campsite offers a true Northwoods escape on the shores of Little Jay Gould Lake - part of a scenic chain that connects to Pokegama Lake to the south as well as Big Jay Gould and the Mississippi River to the north.
Just 1.5 miles from the renowned Tioga Recreation Area mountain bike trailhead, it’s an ideal basecamp for riders looking to hit some of the best single-track in the region. Ride straight from your site and be on the trails in minutes!
Your site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and a starter bundle of firewood to get the evening going. We welcome multiple tents - we just ask that you keep them to the left-hand side of the driveway.
Take a walk down the private drive to the lake, where a dock offers southern sky views and a peaceful spot to relax, cast a line, or watch the sunset. Bring your own boat and launch at the nearby public access, or take our paddleboat out for a leisurely cruise.
A porta potty is located near the site for your convenience, and there’s running water available at the lakeside pump house.
Whether you're flying solo, bringing the family, hitting the trails, casting a line, or just soaking up the quiet - this is the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe deep, and feel like you’ve truly gotten away. This spacious and level campsite is nestled halfway down a straight driveway in a beautiful pine tree forest. With just a short walk further down the driveway, you reach Little Jay Gould Lake. The campsite has fit 2 5th wheel campers at the same time and has been home to our 45ft motorcoach before, so there is plenty of room, but the entrance can be tight, so if you are in-experienced, please contact us prior to booking. The site is peaceful and you will have no neighbors besides the family of deer that take up a home in our woods.
This site is doesn't offer any hookups, but there is access to a porta potty just down the drive between the campsite and the lake. There is access to clean tested potable water at the pump station near the lake for your convenience.
There is a little red boathouse that is currently getting renovations and will soon allow wonderful indoor seating by the lake for enjoying the views. Sorry we do not have this completed yet, please keep out of the building for now.
Please take any waste with you and practice the leave no trace camping.
